Awesome video Kris! Cannot wait for this particular camo Military 2 to come on sale again. I have both the camo DLC PM 2 and the camo DLC Military. After that will be getting the Crucarta Military 2. Like you mentioned, I rather have larger knives and the steel S30V and Cruwear is perfect for my needs. Thanks for sharing brother! 👍

My CruCarta Military 2 is in my Pocket, right now, at Work. It's one of my all-time favorites for Work. And, so far, after using Spyderco's Cruwear for over a year now, if you include my Cruwear Manix 2 XL. And, it works perfectly for me. I haven't had to resharpen mine and both the Manix 2 XL and my CruCarta Military 2 are still razor sharp. They're Great SDUEDC Folders, in my opinion. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

I love my para 2. I rotate it in my edc. That and the manix 2 are the spydercos in my edc rotation. Cold steel take up the rest of the rotation spots. Ti lite, talwar, espada, then the para 2, manix2.
    Really appreciate your videos!!

Right on! You sound a lot like me. :-) I have my favorite Spyders, too... :-) I absolutely luv my Cold Steel Favorites. But, I also, absolutely luv my favorite Spyders (Military 2 & Manix 2XL), too... I think the best Self-Defense Folders are Cold Steel Tri-Ad Folders. And, I like my Spyders for Work Knives. Their awesome Utility, Work, and Every Day Carry Folders that could make great Self-Defense Folders, if need be... Right on, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

By the way, check out the Yojumbo. I've got the all-black S30V version. Looks really wicked and just the sight of that tip would scare the shit out of people looking to do you wrong.

Yes, I have considered it. I like to Collect Fighters. And, that's what that one was designed to be. That's what sort of got me into Spyderco Folders, it was the Power-Lock Chinook, designed by the Knife Fighting, Master at Arms, James Keating. I bought 2. One to Collect and one to Carry.
I didn't like the balance. They are very handle heavy. And, to me, they only feel good in the Reverse Grip. So, I didn't like them over my Large Recon 1 or Large Talwar Folders that are 50/50 at the Forward Finger Groove; that's where I like the Balance Point to be. To me, Knives balanced like that, are Fast in Hand and super easy to manipulate in your hand. So, they became Safe Queens. :-)
But, I admired their build quality. That made me want to try other Spyderco Knives. That was around 2016 or so.
Then, I saw the Spyderco Manix 2XL. I feel in luv... I watched the UA-cam Videos. At that time, I was a Cold Steel, Andrew Demko, Tri-Ad Man. :-) And, to a very large extent, I still am, today... :-) But, I wanted the Manix 2XL. I bought the CPM-S30V, Blk DLC, Blk G-10 Model. I carried the mess out of that one. It's still on my Work Knife Rotation Drawer; I, still, absolutely luv that one... :-)
After that, it was on like Donky Kong! :-)
Now, I have found the one's I, personally, like the best and have several different versions of each. The Military 2, Compression-Lock and the Manix 2XL, Ball-Bearing Lock Folders are my personal Spyderco Favorites.
But, though, I'm an Old Dog, I still like to try New Things and Learn New Tricks... :-)
When I see a great deal on the largest model (I like Larger Folders) hmmm, I'll give it a try. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

@@Kris_Stiletto Same here. I'm only 5'7" but I like blades that are at least 3.7 inches long. I used to be okay with three and a half. Now I find them lacking. For EDC sure but for self-defense, I don't know. I used to be okay with the Para Military 2. Took mine out the other day and I was looking at it. Great knife to be sure but I don't know about personal protection. This is also why to this day, I love the James Williams CRKTs. I'm just not satisfied with their edges.
I also love my Spyderco Native Chief. Also have a Manix 2 XL and that's another blade I carry but for now, nothing beats the Military 2 for me.

Yes, myself, I feel the Military 2 is an exceptional Spyderco Folder. I absolutely luv it's size and weight. It and the Manix 2XL are my personal favorite Spyders, so far... it's definitely a great Folder! And, it's Made in the USA! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

My favorite folding tactical knife. Mine is almost always beside my pillow when I sleep at night. I bought a Microtech Standard Issue Ram-Lok last Monday (06/24/2024). I got the cheapest one since everything's the same except for the scales. Maybe you would like to check one out. I still prefer my Military 2 though. Also bought a Demko AD20.5. Fantastic carry knife. Also bought an Ontario RAT1 in S35VN. Now I understand why that knife is such a legend. Really love it.

Right on! I have all that you mentioned. Well, my RAT1 is the Budget Model... :-) But, yes, great Blades, all! Right on! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

For years i always thought Spyderco folders such as these were the ugliest knives made. Now i know if you want one good knife, the Miliary 2 is the one. I have lots of other folders, but i like the Spyderco most.

You're not the only one, Bro! I never got into the Spyderco Folders, from yesteryear, too, for the same reason. :-) Then, I tried out the Spyderco Manix 2XL and fell in luv with it. That was about 2018 or so... Since then, when one comes out that looks interesting to me, I always want to try it out. But, my two favorite Models, from Spyderco, are the !Manix 2XL & Military 2. These two Models really work for me and my daily needs, that's why I absolutely luv them and highly recommend them; they absolutely, "ROCK!!!" :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

Right on. Myself, I have been using CPM-S30V since 2016 or so, when I bought my 1st Manix 2XL. And, I haven't had any issues, on any of my S30V Spyderco Folders. And, I have several I have carried and used, daily, over the years. All have perfect Blades and Edges, to this day... And, S30V holds a great edge for a long time, too; that's my experience.
Now, I don't use any of my Work Folders for Super Heavy-Duty Cutting Tasks. I use Pocket Kinives for Light-Duty Cutting Tasks.
The only Folders I use for Heavy-Duty Cutting Chores are Cold Steel/Andrew Demko, Tri-Ad, Folders with Heavy-Duty Blade Types and Tough Steel.
But, for me, I carry Folders for three, primary, reasons. 1. Self-Defense 2. Emergencies 3. Utility
My Work Folders have to be safe to use. Even if the Lock gives out they will not cut you up if your in a proper grip. And, they must be good Food Prep and Light-Duty Utility Folders. Oh, and now days, for me, they must be fun Fidgeters. :-) And, they must be capable of being decent Self-Defense Folders, too... Also, I like them to be fairly low maintenance, also. I don't want to have to constantly tighten screws and adjust pivots and blades. But, my Work Folders do not have to have Super Strong Lock Types. But, they must be Safe!
My Self-Defense Folders, most aren't Fidgeters. They're Super Strong Folding Lock-Blade Folders. My go to Folders in this Category, are the Andrew Demko Tri-Ad, Shark, and Scorpion-Locks, Flavio Ikoma Deadbolt-Lock, and the New Cold Steel Atlas-Lock. But, the only one you'll ever see me Baton with is the Andrew Demko Tri-Ad Lock; it's the one I trust the most for a Self-Defense Folder or a Heavy-Duty, Hard-Use, Folder... The Andrew Demko Tri-Ad still Rules, with me... :-)
But, for a Work Folder, to me, and for me, CPM-S30V works just fine. And, when it comes to Spyderco Folders, it's often the affordable option, too... So, I absolutely luv it for how I use it; I've never had a problem with Spyderco CPM-S30V SS. :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
