Nicely explained. Just one place where there is a mistake, if you do not mind. Kernel does not sleep during fast-shutdown. The kernel terminates in any kind of shutdown process. But it is a low-level program so what it does is, it transfers the existing state (before fast-shutdown) to a non-volatile memory. Once this is done, the kernel terminates itself. There is no power consumed by the system and it fully powers off. Next time, when the computer starts, the operating system will send an interrupt to the CPU (mainly to the CU or the Control Unit of the CPU), which contains an instruction set for the kernel to fetch the previous state of the operating system. When the CPU sends this interrupt to the Kernel, the Kernel fetches the same data from the non-volatile memory where it stored the data earlier, so that Windows can resume from where the user left off before the fast shutdown. Always make sure to check the Windows "Reliability Monitor" to see if there are any driver/software conflicts that is preventing Windows from properly shutting down (when fast-startup is enabled). If you notice any errors or warnings, make sure to disable fast-shutdown and use normal shutdown instead. Normal shutdown is always the best option.

Little wrong information about Hibernation. Hibernate stores files into the hard drive, and Sleep stores files into the RAM. Hard drive is much slower than RAM, that's why it takes longer to wake pc up from Hibernate, than from Sleep.
Hibernate on the long run is more worse than Fast bootup. Anyway, Nice video. Got to learn many things. I'll be switching off Fast bootup right away. :D

@@beasty007 its wrong only in case u have dual boot. Otherwise not that much, it is not needed if u have SSD. Hibernation uses many extra write cycles of an SSD that would not be used if hibernation would be off.
@@retroindian1864 yes hibernate does use disk for insertion and retrieval. In case of ssd as you mentioned it's not needed as ssd's are already fast but sometimes I don't need the software and all the files to open again and again by me, so in that case hibernate is useful.

That's why in sleep mode it wakes up so fast and also RAM requires a continuous power to hold the data in it that's why in sleep your computer is always running.
you cannot do that because windows update forces you to restart your system at some point of time, probably within a month, where as I can show you linux servers running with uptime of more than 4years personally!!!
I have already done it, bcs while dual booting, we can't have access to write in drives in Linux OS. But, the problem is that, every time you have to adjust the date and time.
date problem can be easily managed in linux. you can configure linux to consider system hardware time as utc or local time zone. windows is terrible and has to do lot of hacks to enable it. research and then execute this command in linux - timedatectl set-local-rtc 1
