Thanks for putting together and posting this arrangement. I just bought my first stringed instrument and it was a Banjo. Lots to learn but that is the fun of it all. I’ll be checking out your website.
Do you only teach Scruggs style? Or clawhammer as well. I’m a beginner clawhammer player and was torn between Gold Tone and Deering banjos. No stores in my area carried them so I just had to research and read a lot of reviews! I went with what I could order so I have the Deering Goodtime Americana. I am really loving it. I wanted to play the CC Carlin by Gold Tone but couldn’t find one. If I stick with it I will upgrade even more. Any words of wisdom for a beginner?
I can teach either 3 finger style or clawhammer. I really love playing the banjo with a hybrid of the two styles using no picks. Check out this original tune of mine “Devils a Liar”. Here I use a mix of three finger and clawhammer with no picks. I call it Clawgrass. ua-cam.com/video/p-5cK1yibbA/v-deo.html

Jethro, I’ve owned 3 Deering’s and 1 Gold Tone. Deering banjos are made really well.
