awesome video/playing. does that Sierra have a mahogany neck or walnut? or maple? i was wanting a Clawgrass 2 banjo but i hear if you get a Sierra with a walnut neck they sound pretty similar and the cost is much more affordable? keep up the great work.

Do you only teach Scruggs style? Or clawhammer as well. I’m a beginner clawhammer player and was torn between Gold Tone and Deering banjos. No stores in my area carried them so I just had to research and read a lot of reviews! I went with what I could order so I have the Deering Goodtime Americana. I am really loving it. I wanted to play the CC Carlin by Gold Tone but couldn’t find one. If I stick with it I will upgrade even more. Any words of wisdom for a beginner?
