Let’s freaking GO!!!!!
The boys are back in town ..
Let go BP!!! UK fella in the chat!
BP. You gotta react to a Thin Lizzy track fella!!
Black P!
hey BP, fkn love ya my dude! much love and respect from Wales brother.
In MG1 Ren was at first the Prosecuter + Judge and the Hostage/Deliquent was the "anonymous Money Game" which he blamed + judged ...but as the Money Game got eyes it wasn´t "anonymous" anymore and he realized "We´re all part of this old Money Game" = including himself..so he couldn´t fulfill his final role as Executor unless when executing himself.
That is for me MG1 "The Introduction"
In MG2 Ren explains how the Money Game is played.
That is for me MG2 "The Explaination"
In MG3 Ren shows what the Money Game can do with one´s life.
That is for me MG3 "The Ramification"
Well explained!! Thanks
Imagine if Voltaire and cliff notes collaborated, then you’d have Mr. Grabner…give this man an award 🫡
Damn! So well said 👏👏👏👏
I love this comment. Great insight & thoughts. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Well explained !
The shell oil company was started by an antiques dealer who imported decorative shells from the far east. His sons started shipping barrels of oil
Seriously I had no idea. Thank you
Explains the she sells sea shells analogy he uses in money game part 2
"She sells sea shells by the sea shore" thats what he was referring to when the dark side was mocking him in Hi Ren!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Shell oil started out selling literal seashells when it was an antiquity shop. Ren is god tier. ❤❤❤
It’s him. Yes he plays piano too. At this point nothing about Ren’s abilities surprises me any more.
The one thing that still gets me is that he keeps getting better and he is already off the scales 😅 Not sure my brain can handle Ren 5 or 10 years from now 🤯
Which other musical artist is performing at this level, whilst being ill & on a low budget, supported by friends and not professionally seasoned experts?
Ren is a feckin GENIUS
Great reaction 👍😃
Tom MacDonald
I was just going to say Tom MacDonald lol
I've been taking it that the money bag over the head signifies a captive of the money game
My take on the first video (for what it's worth): The guy in the chair is one of the leaders. politician or CEO or something. Ren goes through a bunch of options for killing him. Starting with the rope, then faked a gun to his head, then the bat. But the guy can't see it. Eventually he gives him eyes, and he stops himself from getting burned. Then Ren turns the mirror on himself, and realizes that he's just as much of a part of the money game, and burns himself.
It's important to remember the word WE. He constantly says that we are all guilty of being part of the money game. So he's blaming himself too.
Red Tie; Combing his hair from the back to the front; Turning his son into a gun crazed megalomaniac. And you get Hunter(?)
Ren has just held up a big mirror at the world and us we all part of the money game we to blame
Meaux summed this up with a GD bow…”it’s soul. It’s literally his soul, and it’s so fckn..dude.” 👏
I truly think that Ren is a once-in-a-generation artist and that we're very lucky to witness this. Great reaction guys. 👍
I've been waiting for a reactor to point out 45 being a reference to the 45th president! Yall are the first 😊 the whole song reminded me of Trumps upbringing more than Bidens, however. Trumps dad hated him and told him he wasn't shit unless he was the richest, most powerful... Trump is very "mine mine gimmie." Not saying the Bidens are any better.
Yup. Crazy how someone can see Biden here when a Trump comparison is far closer and $2billion from the Saudis to Kushner far closer to ‘selling arms in Iran’. But people see what they want to see.
I love how ren makes everyone think. Like the realization you had about modern mainstream rap. And I never thought about that and now I realize it too.
True art. It just makes us all think about the world and society we've created. Our shared myths and how we need or want them crafted
Shell oil actually started trading in shells and trophies from the East Indies 🤫👍🔥🙏
"the only things you take with you, are the things you give away"
-It's a Wonderful Life
My initial reaction was the same as yours, 'fuck". I sat there, with my jaw dropped and fuck was all I could mutter out. I can't even lie, Ren, has changed my perspective on life. I don't get upset like I use to and I enjoy the little moments more. He's really made my life better and in perspective, with just his words.
Ren's MG series is very thought provoking, which is likely intentional. I've never met 2 people who have the exact same value when it comes to money which is why so many people have different perspectives of MG 1,2 and 3. For me, it doesn't say that money isn't important, it's saying that the ultra rich and powerful control us regular people (in the middle we sleep). If we want fairness and change we need to wake up, put aside the division of the stupid sh*t that doesn't really affect our lives, come together as we really want the same things. We want a comfortable life without the struggle of being broke or poor.
I think the most important quote from you vid is: You live your whole life for it, and you can't take it with you.
The sound of silence coming from the both of you at the end of MG3 said it all.
The aesthetic look and feel of Money Game 3 is amazing.
Yes Ren is playing the piano at the beginning. He also wrote the script and the music for all the instruments. He is an humble genius. We love you Ren!!
And to think...it all begins with Ren...on his own...having an idea...writes the lyrics...the piano and strings arrangement, ..the visual storyline.....and then turns to his friends and says.... I got an idea guys lol
My finger moved quick as Ren's mind when you flashed up, and you did not disappoint.
"There's no left, there's no right - in the middle we sleep" 💥
On part 2 it does apply to shell gas station cause they started off as a small store selling shells and grew to a gas station he is amazing
The way you 2 were so engrossed was just epic
Moneybags in the chair is the society and the guitar represents the good parts that Ren wants to keep so insted of burning it all down he self immolates as a protest.
shell oil started out selling shells before oil lol
I interpretated part 1 like this:
Ren embodies the World, taking all these hits (guitar strokes) by humanity. And the Dude in the chair is embodieing humanity itself, that is at the mercy of the world, but blindfolded when it comes to critic and mistakes of itself
I love when people see MG3 and the reactors are stumped at the end. They have to take a moment to compose themselves to take it all in
Is Ren also a Historian as well ?
Heard this theory on another reaction video.
Marcus Samuel was a pioneer in the global shipment of oil, became Lord Mayor of London and died as 1st Viscount Bearsted. The company he founded, Shell, is still a leader in world energy with a corporate identity that attests to its origins in a Jewish shop near the London docks.
Samuel senior, also named Marcus Samuel, ran an import-export business in the mid-1800s. It made a fortune from the Victorian craze for shell-boxes, buying exotic shells from returning sea captains and turning into them into fashionable items for the home.
Hence, " Why sell shells? Why limit yourself...... She sells sea shells, sell oil as well".
Ren made his album turn number 1 in the UK … the man is brilliant
Lmao... at the beginning of MG3, imagine if that was him?
Uhm, yeah, imagine...
Modern day Mozart. He writes the whole play, all the music, all the parts...and he also plays.
I have never witnessed such silence from reaction videos than with Money Game Part Three.
Silence.
Reflection.
Silence.
Awe.
You're the first person to notice that 45 also meant Trump. This was written when he was president.
"It don't matter if they hate you if they all say your name."
These three songs are a critique of capitalism.
I see the cuffed person in money game 1 as the average resident bc Ren is doing whatever he wants to them and they still "play along"
Ren is incredible & this song is no exception.🤟🏻🔥🎶
I've always taken the ending of MG1 as Ren coming to terms with the hypocrisy of the song because he's part of it too. I think he realizes that the person playing the guitar is also him.
My interpretation of part 1 is, Ren represents money dressed all in Green.
Ren is a genius. If Netflix doesn’t give him his own show, they’re fools.
Ren couldn’t do shows, he’s ill. Watch the video ‘A Day in the Life of Ren’ you’ll see what a typical day is like for Ren. He has Lyme disease which has ravaged his body and given him brain damage, he simply doesn’t have the energy to do long stints like concerts/shows, it’s too exhausting for him.
A few days ago I watched every ren reaction tou guys did from beginning to end. It's amazing to watch his progression and more importantly both of your appreciation towards him. You should make a complication of the whole of your journey. I think it would be dope af
His rep is built on it .
Someone else did that and it was pretty amazing. Really fun to watch
I really agree with that. I have memories (although I could be wrong) where at the start of the journey, there was a little bit of hesitancy "what the fuck is this". Totally understandable. But once you get hooked, once you understand just exactly what he is doing, there is no turning back
@@sammyd8860Facts.
So, some of the symbolism from the beginning of MG3 kinda just clicked for me. Ren is going ham on the keys, then he gets replaced. The music (the money game) pauses. At a loss for what to do, he wanders away and reflects (literally/figuratively) and sees that he's bound and hooded. Then he takes off his restraints, the music/game resumes, and he dives right into his role as an observer and narrator, bringing us the story of Jimmy. The music continues until he stops it to deliver his anti-MG monologue, and then it resumes for the finale where we see the culmination of the MG for Jimmy.
Y'all are pretty good at finding meanings in what the songs are about!
It's also important with MG3 that it's also a problem generationally. Our parents (maybe with good intentions) push us to do more and more and play into the money game without thinking about what it does to a person.
Shell oil first started selling shells before they moved to oil, Ren is a fucking G
Hes by far the best at breaking down exactly what’s going on in the world plainly. He is a special writer for real.
That is him on the piano at the start
The nursery rhyme was referring to this little known fact;
"The origin of the Shell name can be traced back to the seashells that Marcus Samuel senior imported from the Far East during the late 19th Century. When his sons Marcus junior and Samuel were looking for a name for the kerosene that they were exporting to Asia, they chose Shell."
Leave it to Ren... 👍💯
Great reaction as always, y'all !
Always make wish I had heard this before Hi Ren, because it makes the line where his “evil” side is mocking him for rapping She Sells Sea Shells on the Sea Shore, makes it hit so much harder lol. Good shit yall
Been looking forward to this reaction! 🫶🤘
Been waiting for your reactions tk MG3. YOU DID NOT DISAPPOINT! 🔥
Fantastic reaction video to MG 1-2-3.... Thanks
Loved the reaction, Ren is AMAZING. If only more people saw him and GOT it the world would be a great place…. One person at a time and we might live in a paradise.
The perplexity of your face amused me!I love your reaction
Protect Ren at all costs...the man is a f-in artistic genius!!!
Your silence speaks louder than words!
The line she sells seashells on the sea shore is a wonderful stitch.
You guys were on point with this reaction...thanks❤
I don't get how you could be focused on reading the lyrics when the money game part 3 video is such a beauty. I still love ya'lls videos and Ren is just a whole different animal, such a great series of vids. Cheers!
It’s because I’m a lyricist 🤷🏾♂️
@@FlawdTV I would like point the part of the part u missed (blame blame blame blame there the ones to blame but turn the mirror on ur self were the ones to blame) the true meaning is we the people are the reason why the world is fuck but we like to blame he elite evem tho where the ones who put them on there pedestal its are own fault everyone on this planet is to blame not just the rich it's yang and yang give and take or as he put it supply and demand
I part 1, I think Ren is the narrator, explaining that we're all part of this, we participate in it.
But the guy in the chair is also Ren. Just trying to make some music, there's threats and struggle all around him, attacking him. Then his eyes get opened, by a particularly violent struggle moment.
I think the end is that we have to burn that greed out of our collective minds
Boy oh boy have I been waiting for this! Ren is genius and I LOVED seeing how engulfed you two were. He brought you in just as intended and it was beautiful. You two being left speechless in moments trying to gather your thoughts on what you just consumed was very profound.
the guy in the chair kinda represents just another person. how society has taught us to eat each other in the rat race for fame, money, etc.
Love how you guys watch and shoosh until the hole song is finished TY.. Peace!
I’ve been waiting for y’all to react to these 3 amazing songs!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ luv y’all
I would say the one sitting down couldn't see what was going on until Ren drew the eyes on him. Look how he saw the can of petrol after Ren drew the eyes.
Part 1: my interpretation: Ren is Ren. The "hostage" is a player in the Money Game,(ie. literally everyone). The reason he backs off and burns himself is because he suddenly realises that he is also playing the Money Game.
Part 2: verse 2 might just be verse of the century.
Part 3: the bit that hit me hardest was that last line, especially the way he used the same melody as parts 1 and 2, which he hadn't done up until that point.
This was a knock on capitalism not communism, FYI.
Another word for what he is against is crony capitalism, because his songs 10 yrs ago were bashing greedy corporations and politicians. 4 yrs ago (crucify your culture) he slammed the politicians by name along with big corporations. His interviews with Knox Hill I believe discussed that money was a tool and he was in it as well....the game. The problem is big corporations and politicians work together for passing laws to benefit the big corporations and they pay that lobbyist (politician) very well.
Gave me new levels on part 2 with your Shell reaction.
Commenting now while the commercials playing.... been waiting for this! I even already hot the like button.
He gave him eyes to make him wake up and open his eyes to what is happening in the world.
The character playing guitar is The System The more you see Ren, the more you love him..... Has anybody seen Hunter?
He addressed the captive as "dear mr president" .
Ha! On your TV comment about commercials. A couple things to think about, it’s called a television, tel a vision, and what you call shows, they call your daily programming. In the tv guide it’s under programming
He drew eyes so your eyes to wake them opened it to the truth
In Pt.3 the first vocal line is from Violet's Tale and he ends with "It's such a shame, from Jenny and Screeche's Tales, to iondicate that this is a generational tragedy too.
I'm so glad I found your channel.... You are the best at analysing not only the fire lyrics but your interpretation of the video! Love you guys!!
Ren is another level. One in a generation artist and story teller.
I love that he says that borders are an invention. That to me sums up such a major issue that divides us. What is a border? It’s an invisible line that someone has made important and if we cross it without proper documentation, we are in trouble.
Such a powerful trilogy.
You two are great! Enjoyed this very much ✌️
Ren Has become everything to some
He belongs to Us and wants to be ours
He is not selling out
We Love him and this flies in the face of Them He will remain true to us
Shell Oil and Gas started its life as a company selling shells 😂😂😂❤❤😂
Shell Oil, shell companies... good spots you two.
And I was going to point out that they did with diamonds exactly what they did with the shells in this tune and you both got there as well.
Respect.
Is the guy in the seat us with fake vision, while Ren was the system destroyin itself, settin fire to itself.
Ren is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥Thank you great reaction❤
I love watching you two react to songs! Your reactions are so genuine and enthusiastic. I get excited along with you, even though I already know the song. It's like I get to relive my very first reaction through you. Love it, and love your commentary 😁
Just join your channel loving the vibe from both of you a new follower from the UK Brighton England 🙏🏾🇬🇧🏴
Happy for ya'all. You guys are killing it. Keep rocking it.
❤It's him!!! He plays piano 🎹 he does everything 😂
Part 1... he wanted him to see whats coming at first! Thats why he didnt take the bat to him! Also... why he gave him Eyes... to See whats coming! The gas!!
Then... he realized... hes part of the game too! Ending with self emulation!
Love all your reactions, and Ren, so thoroughly enjoyed this. Thx :)
Looooong awaited reaction!!! 😁
Thanks guys. 😊
Looved seeing you vibin to part 2!!! 😎
Always a great time with you two and Skwad ❤️
It may be hunter's story but it's just as much Donald's story as well
it is neither. Ren is a huge fan of shows like breaking bad. Where a good person slowly follows a path of losing their morality. He wanted to create a story that told that sort of tale.
Damn bro this was deep. I loved this reaction and your dope conversation that got ya thinking.
You two are great! Enjoyed this very much
Yes!! I’ve been waiting for you two to react! Did not disappoint!! ❤
Thank you both so, so, very much for your pukka video, and reaction . Respect to you both 👏
