8 people killed in tavern shooting in North West

- North West police are hunting for suspects who gunned down eight people in the early hours of today, at a tavern near Orkney, outside Klerksdorp. The suspects reportedly arrived at the tavern, looked for Basotho, then randomly fired shots and instantly killed one woman and six men. Newzroom Afrika's Refiloe Seboko has more.

Murders are taking place, young boys are getting destroyed, spouces, mother's are being abused. Most recent we lost somany lives. @@mosalethoba5267what police are you referring to? Police knows what is happening they always tell you that they're investigation and you'll never hear from them again. You'll keep on following up the response will always be the same "we're still investigating you'll be waiting until kingdom comes.
Now spokesperson is saying it's the first time they experienced mass killings, one can ask is this what they were waiting for? What about weekly shootings were one or two people are killed and mass gun shots injuries, are they accepted cause atleast those were just gun shot injuries and or one or two lives lost?. What about serial rape cases to the elderly, women and children living on their own, what is it they have done so far? Drugs sold corner to corner in Kanana what are they doing? Gangster is anything being done about it? Kanana police need to step up. Station commanders come and go in Kanana and it does not make any difference.
Kanana needs Amaberet atleast they bring some stability. Police themselves knows who perpetrators are, this thing of Police being deployed in the community they grew up in does not help, because criminals are people they grew up with, they are their neighbours, some they went to school with, etc it sometimes gets difficult to arrest such criminals cause they "criminals" knows those police, knows your family and where you live! So it's easy for them (police) to be targeted, it might be possible that they're turning a blind eye for their own safety or working together with criminals, we've seen many police being arrested due to criminality
Police should not be stationed to the communities they grew up in, they need to be deployed in communities they aren't familiar with and they should atleast be relocated after 3yrs atleast. Just my 2cent advise
Why must Taverns be closed, when they are a source of income for most families at the SA unemployment rate. Instead, the government should support and protect small businesses like Taverns because they create community jobs. Ask the government to deal with crime, safety, and security instead of closing people's livelihoods.

It’s just a lot that needs improvement and it honestly looks like a long road ahead.
