Regarding "illegal building techniques:" LEGO has a policy against sanctioning connections for which parts are not designed. Putting a plate into an old c-clip stresses the clip and can also dent the plate. LEGO actually ended up redesigning their c-clip shape in recent years, to a completely different shape, now simultaneously stronger and more flexible, so the parts can fit together repeatedly without causing damage. I use to always use that technique, and I didn't know it could ruin your clips or the plate. Now I stoped

The new C-clips are great. Recently in building I've been trying to slide bars into place as oppose to clippimg them. Also leaving clipped plates joined for easier parts seperation, as well as long term piece condition
they should make a death star with nanofigures

I got it when it first came out and I regret nothing. Its built and the centerpiece on display in my office. I love it.
Nano figures is a sign that we will have nano Lego pieces before 2100
This is unspokenly one of the largest sets. Yet considering what it is, it still should be even bigger.
I deliberated over this set for months and finally purchased it 18 months ago. After about 6 months I dismantled it for parts and regretted doing so after a few months, I took apart all of my custom builds and spent countless hours over four months locating, counting and cataloging all of the parts before rebuilding and now have nearly completed building this for a second time.
I have enjoyed the build more this second time around. I think this is a fantastic homage to Marvel and the Avengers and I won't be making any custom builds from it again.

A very good helicarrier. I think that If I were to change a few things about this set, I would custom build a larger area for the bridge( to make it up to minifigs scale), add more detail into the hanger and make the rear hanger smaller as to allow more space for minifigs/ a larger control room. I think it is a good set but could allow 2, not 1 floors for the underneath area of the helicarrier

You made 2 points about the set I'd like to discuss:
-your opinion that the set spent too many parts on the making the turbines spin, thus sacrificing on play-ability for kids
-the price tag being a bit stiff
I think the conclusion is that it's not intended for kids (as in, not intended for the rough and tumble play that we* all have been guilty of back in the day)
*not gonna lie, I have one time got my entire family to stand up on one of my lego creations, it didn't break actually. Then again I tend to over engineer my lego creations back then.
You know,BUilding this set brought out emotions I didn't know I had,including:Happy,frustrated,sad,energetic,and so much more.I don't know if energetic is an emotion,but I was.This set is really something

The benefit of these nanofigures is the fact that they are so small and use such a tiny amount of plastic that if they were to be more commonly found in sets or packs or whatever, they would be fairly cheap. I really like the concept of them (they would be fantastic for builders who like the smaller scale stuff), but I doubt I will find use for them (purely because I don't have builds of that variety. I don't know, I guess you could make an action figure store or something, which would be pretty sweet.

As someone who has been on a few military ships, the gears and tubes and stuff in the main room area make it a lot more realistic (not movie accurate though) there are tubes and pipes all over the place

Could you do a video on how to build the nano vehicles? I think I know how to build the foreclift, but it is always nice to read the instructions! :D Also, Captain American looked really detailed and movie accurate. I like the nano people and hope Lego shall infuse them in different series and styles.

Those microfigs are much more detailed compared to the ones in the new figure factory promo set but promo ones are free so i understand
And one angle,the mini Quinjet looks like its really flying\gliding
I love this set, and i personally think the nano-figures make it scale, but i agree that the power function takes up space, and time that could have gone to other parts. I think the tumbler and slave one are both better than this and those were only 200. i would have probably payed 250 for this, but 350 was alot. Took me 24 hours to build
These nano figures open up so many possibilities for star wars sets. I always hated how none of the official millennium falcons were actually to scale with the minifigures. Now we can have a nanofigure scaled falcon. The same thing applies to the lego star destroyers, now the bridge can actually be used as a bridge, and the inside can hold a lot more detail than usual.
