I love these boots, I once had a pair that I wore every day at work and outside of work too. They got so comfortable I did a 2-day 50 mile hike in them and had no issues whatsoever. I keep a pair of steel-toe capped blundstones for days when I might be dropping heavy things on my feet, but these are my go-to boots. Great review, cheers.
@@JamesProodian no, just as they were. To be fair I ended up losing the toenail on my little toe from both feet, but overall it was a great hike, I was sad when those boots finally ran out of steam.
I actually prefer them because they are a bit round. It's really a more casual workboot that looks stylish. Most chelsa boots are very narrow and more based on a dress shoes and that can work if thats what you are after, but a dress boot would look really weird in the woods or whatever.
Same here, got the 585. First time I saw it, its like a rainboot (hehe). I have not shown it yet to my son (18) and two daughters (20s) and I would expect they will have the same impression😁. However, I do appreciate the craftsmanship and could take the beating of everyday wear. And yes, there is a break in period of getting customized as I wear them. 44 EUR is my size and I need to wear thin socks where the added insole I use. Initially the top portion of my foot specially my right side, hurt in few days I wore these. The reason I finally decided to buy thin material sock. Now, I think I am enjoying them. Thank you for the review.
I have owned 3 pairs of these over the years, they are fantastic except for 2 things, sizing is so off, and I had to do returns. The next big issue is that the soles eventually crack and cannot be repaired.
What are your thoughts on the 1306? They're the square toe boots. I wonder if that would be more to your liking than the 585. I am buying my first pair soon and i'm so torn over which ones to get, between these two.
So im a 6.5 in U.S womens. I ended up getting a size 4 which would be a size 7 in womens. and added an extra insole with the one that came with it and they fit great. The thing it the top of the back of the boot digs into the back of my leg a bit, but im hoping that goes away as i break them in.
This video was helpful. I wear a 7 but always purchase 7.5 for more room and comfortability. I’m looking to purchase the #585 in Rustic Brown; should I purchase a 8 or stick to my original 7.5 size. Thanks
I am thinking of doing the same! Did you purchase them and if you did, which size did you go for? I want to size up so I can wear chunky woolly socks with them
I’m usually a 6.5 but my feet were so cramped inside with thick socks that I bought a 7. I usually end up being a half size bigger in Europe/austrailian shoes. The 7’s fit great!
I just bought these and they are killing my heels. Should I keep wearing them and try to break them in or get a half size bigger that’s a bit loose on my feet? They are very painful on my heels like I said.
@@andreimarchenko4680 My entire heel was in a lot of pain to the point where I could not even wear them. Just gotta go through the pain and they will be very comfortable

Thanks for the good content. personally speaking, I think these boots they are particularly not ideal in the summer.. too hot too stuffy inside (probably I got one too small for me??), have not tried it in winter yet...
and for me they really need breaking in... the first few days they had nothing to do with comfort and bloody hard to put on, after wearing them for a week with pain in my feet they started to get a bit better... guess I have gotten a wrong size???
I could see that. I definitely veer away from them in the summer unless i am hiking or doing some sort of outside work. Drop a sub! Tons of videos coming!

Canadian (Toronto) here. I think you are asking for trouble. For Toronto is OKish. I added the sheepskin footbed to my standard Blundstone which makes it equivalent to the winter version. It’s warm on your footbed but the upper are just leather lined and not insulated. So pretty much you are as warm as your socks. I would invest in a proper winter boots (with thinsulate) if I were you.
@@eatfugu I am Canadian so I just buy Kamik. Their price is very affordable. Plus they have models with “moderate insulation” so your feet wont be too hot once you get indoor or remain active outdoor. If you want “heavy duty” winter boots, I recommend Baffin. My friend use Baffin for his northern expedition trip and they are wonderful.
There’s no decent gyw boot with nice leather that’s this price lol. These are amazing for the price and despite not being gyw they are super durable and long lasting, and most importantly they are comfortable

Thanks!, I almost bought some online, but now I know about the sizing I'll hold off until I can try a pair on.
Blunnies are great. Just got a pair, I used to have them when I was younger. Tasmanian pride helped, partially.
I have the BL063 dress boot for women. I am either buying the black 585 or getting them for Christmas.
Had the same issue with one boot being bigger and put the insert in.
Just to clarify, these are not waterproof, if indeed you have the 585's. They resist water but are not waterproof. The 584 boots are waterproof.
Can spray waterproof spray🤷🏼♂️

Are they good for winter? Like not goin thru snow but just walking the doggo and being out in the yard for long durations. I live in Sask Canada btw

What do you think of them now 2 years later?
Do you know the difference between these and the 550s?
Been shopping but not hyped about trying to get right size
I personally do not, they seem to look pretty similar. I know that these have an extra stitch for support
@@KyleDakotaBush found out after I posted that it is the color way
No other difference from what I found online
Thanks for the response
when you put that extra insert in only one shoe one foot is higher than the other? Isn't that a problem for your hip?
No, if the foot is shorter then the leg is already shorter. Using the insole would make the hips level.
I agree with you 👍 great boots.
I like Redbacks
Buy the vibram sole all terrain.
Why is the leather so discolored?
Try RM Williams, Rossi, Redback and Mongrol for aussie made boots unlike Blundstone
