This must have been hard on alucard, both physically and emotionally. Put yourself in his shoes: can you imagine how hard it would be to see your friends again after a long time has passed, knowing that they're dead but still you approach them with just a sliver of hope in your soul, only to see that it's not really them? And not only that,to see that they are actually cruel mockeries of your friends, specifically done to deceive you and shake you up emotionally, and then being forced to fight them for your life. Sad... very sad... it must have taken a real emotional toll...
However the beauty in this is that there wasn’t any dialogue before and after the boss fight. As soon as Alucard seen these imposters, he didn’t hesitate. He fought them with no questions asked.
Imagine those veteran players of Castlevania 3 reaching this stage and then fighting the characters they played them over 5 years ago. That was some plot twist but a very dark one.
If Sypha remains alive during this fight, she can revive Trevor in a more zombified state, she only does it for Trevor though and not Grant, makes you wonder if part of their personalities is still there.
I really like how the main characters of Castlevania 3 were designed in Symphony Of The Night. I honestly would like to see Konami remake or redesign Castlevania 3 in the graphics & gameplay of Symphony Of The Night or Rondo Of Blood.
After watching Season 2, this hurts. Knowing that there's a possibility that Alucard may fight his friends' copies in the distant future, if Netflix ever goes that far with the series.
Fun fact: In the Japanese version there is no "fake" in front of their names. According to a guide I bought years ago, Shaft had somehow acquired their tombs and resurrected them as he thought they might be the perfect means to kill Alucard (3 vampire hunters vs a vampire...), But the US and EU versions found it offensive and simply added "fake" before the names.
Fun fact: the people that comment on this saying the Japanese version claims these are actually Alucard’s friends are incorrect at best, downright lying at worst. Maybe there is a guidebook that was incorrect, but their descriptions say they are zombies that were meant to trick alucard.
I wouldn't mind SOTN as the 3rd Netflix series after a 2nd based on Rondo of Blood, re-introduce Alucard after an absence in the 2nd series, and they need to re-enact this scene to fight Trevor and Sypha clones to haunt him
This is knowing the Lore of castlevania and having seen how they interacted in the Netflix series (which, even though it was in a separate timeline from the series, the integrations are unique) I don't want to imagine how painful it may have been for Alucard to remember those adventures with his companions and forced to kill them after decades and even generations. Alucard taking into account what happened in the Netflix series with the two young men from Japan, it is clear that there are things that can affect him mentally badly and even leave him with certain marks. This would not be the exception, seeing your friends, those who formed something important in your life thinking of a beautiful reunion to realize that it is not them hurts. I would have liked an interaction between richter and the image / reflection of Trevor, it would have been epic if he mentioned something like "so he was the one you fought side by side against dracula"
@@arnahunas4048 i hope not. They kinda messed up the game lore of Castlevania 3 in the animated show. Just read it in Famicom english translation and the whole thing of Belmonts being banished by the church is kinda funny... because in the intro of Japanese version its more like the Church relies on Belmonts, even having the pope looking for one til he found the blood of Belmont being Ralph "Trevor" Belmont. This is due to the fact that the Church sent their own soldiers to fight the demons but mainly unsuccessful, so they had to rely on Belmonts due to their super human powers of nature

Can you imagine how hard this fight would be if each of one of them fought you as hard as Richter did during his boss fight? Also, just to be clear here are these bodies the real heros corpses "possesed" by demons or are even the skeletons fake themselves?
Hey, do you know if the fairy actually sings when Alucard falls asleep in the re-released Japanese version? I think it is called Playstation best of or something... now that may be a lie too, but I could swear I once stared at the screen wondering why the unusually well built fairy was singing ... And I never liked the Saturn version so I am pretty sure it was not that one... If you know, feel free to correct/enlighten me, because I am pretty sure she sings in one version of the psx.
Are you playing this on an emulator? If so, which one, and references would be wonderful! (I once tried to get a saturn emu to work, but it was horrifically buggy)
Fun fact, ignore the comment I replied to myself, its fake and while not as cool as the FAKE story I read in the "ULTIMATE CASTLEVANIA GUIDE!" It sounded funny at least...
Well I am in no position to argue with that, I should have known better than to trust a random guide on how to get 200 percent... (considering you can get more without cheating) Thanks for the update, damn lousy guides...

roastingpotato true good point

I dont think Alucard is that sentimental, also he saw the skeletons transforming so must have been strange, true, but not that hard
Probably not as bad as the attempt to reimagine his witnessing the burning of his mom though. @Roastingpotato
Yup
Imagine those veteran players of Castlevania 3 reaching this stage and then fighting the characters they played them over 5 years ago. That was some plot twist but a very dark one.
A dark twist of fate indeed. Basically, Alucard is fighting against three long dead friends who have been resurrected by dark magic. Quite tragic.
If Sypha remains alive during this fight, she can revive Trevor in a more zombified state, she only does it for Trevor though and not Grant, makes you wonder if part of their personalities is still there.
in the ending of castlevania 3 sypha and Trevor hug
Is sypha has revive magic?

They might. Season 3 seems to be hinting at Curse of Darkness with how it ended.
castlevania ss3 - cod - issac and hector
It would only fight Trevor & Sypha, since Grant won't appear at this point. (Well, at least there was a cameo)
@@xBlaster where did you see a Grant cameo

Axel Knight actually alucard is half vampire. Cuz his mom is human
Axel Knight That makes me wonder which one is canon
that would've meant they died young.....
@Pastell Doodler Or that can simply mean they were revived and brought back to when they were on their prime.
This takes on a much more tragic meaning since the show wrote them with personalities and a relationship
Wow, Dracula.... that’s just low, even for you.
@Enclave Communications Officer In the inverse Castle?
@Enclave Communications Officer Shaft trolled Alucard beyond death
@@Charlie94781that's for Richter busting his balls in the previous game (seriously, Shaft HAD two balls)
I really wish he had a reaction at the start of the fight since he fought along side these guys
He should've gone "I'm alucard, I'm alucard bitches"
If this boss fight shows up in Netflixvania, I'll start bawling
I find Sypha's weird moaning voice line to be very unnerving

That's Grant, a boss and a ally in Castlevania 3 (i hope your don't care about the delay on the answer, lol)
When Dracula pulls an Orochimaru and uses the Edo Tensei.
Pretty sure Castlevania did it first
they're called "Grant fake" (グラントフェイク), "Sypha Fake"(サイファフェイク) and "Ralph Fake" (ラルフフェイク) in japanese. as a result, they are.
im pretty sure if this is remade, there will be some sort of cutscene before and after this boss fight.
It's really interesting to see how they translated Trevor and co from NES to PS.
It's pretty cool that once they defeat you Trevor taunts alucard with a thumbs down gesture, i can't remember what the other two did though
This really requires some of the most precise controls! You're a genius!
Shaft is an asshole for doing this. But at the same time, his tactics make him one of Dracula's most cunning servants.
These guys are the heroes of Castlevania 3 in NES; and Shadowserg made them kick the bucket. Youre cool man!
Oh wow, the Sega Saturn version. I've played through that one a few times. It's really quite good aside from the slowdown and loading times.
Cómo se debió sentir alucard ver a sus amigos después de más de 100 años y los tienes que matar y peor aún que son calaveras imitadoras

***** when you do the sotn boss fights no damage no subweapons do you use a different sword for each fight or do you use one for all.
I hate the fact that this fight was so easy. SOTN was a masterpiece outside of difficulty.
This fight is a no-brainer in Castlevania: Nocturne.
If this battle is on Castlevania Nocturne then fans of the original Netflix Castlevania would go batshit crazy😂
