What I've always liked about this route is that one minute you're sailing along Kilburn High Road, which is a bit iffy, then this magic curtain comes aside and you're in St. John's Wood, which is posh and leafy. Kilburn is an Irish area (known also as "County Kilburn, emphasis on second syllable) and St John's Wood is wealthy Jewish/East European, all patisseries and designer shops. After that there's Edgware Road, which is an Arab enclave and down Park Lane, past Mayfair and into the grandest part, Belgravia. For the last part the bus is skirting the walls of Buckingham Palace.
Hi caleb mumby, well-spotted! The bus terminated around Hype Park Corner for some reason and passengers had to board another bus. By chance, Bus Route 13 travelled the same route and stopped at the same bus stops as Bus 16, covering its final three stops.
no time to keep stopping. u think it might just take a second but time adds up. the priority is to get the people on the bus where they need to be on time.
I grew up around Cricklewood and Willesden Green, so this video brings back great memories.
Great bus ride, love all the architecture, thank you. 😊
It is the best view point for people watching now the weather has turned warmer nice one it is to, thanks
Thanks nigel smith!
Thanks for editing out the times where we would be staring at the back of another bus. Much appreciated.
Thanks for watching also!
Gosh this brought back some memories, I lived in Cricklewood until I was 20, worked in Kilburn, used to travel on this route all the time x
Follower for ages .. SUPERB channel. Huge thanks from Cornwall.
Thanks Paul cramo! I appreciate your support. I would love to Cornwall too. Any double-decker bus recommendations for Cornwall?

Why do you describe Kilburn High Road as 'a bit iffy'? Is there a higher crime rate there than other London areas?
@@trevorjones3273 I guess you don't live in the area...
16 was my bus to school and work. Great memories riding down Edgware Road again.
Awesome, thanks for watching!

Blue skies and people walking around in shorts and T-shirts! - is this really London?? ;-)
Interesting bus video journey.
1:53 - Why didn't the driver want to take passengers who were late?
Seemed inappropriate

32:22 Why did you cut some of the journey out?
It is the Crown Hotel at Crickelwood, not the Clown. :-)
The "Clown" is the McDonalds next door... :)

Do all London cyclists have sort of death wish?
