Yesss Maria Sakkari is back! The strongest her match since Indian Wells, i really didn't expect to see her winning solid player like Kasatkina that easy! This is already the Maria who knows how to be constant, qualifing many times for semifinals and shows why she is top 10 player even only with 1 career title. Hoping to reach the final in Berlin and to do great Wimbledon, she deserves that!
A solid player like Kasatkina? Daria is mentally so weak.

@@xxxxxxxx8634 But she melts like others when Swiatek is on the other side of the net. Coco has a big forehand, but Swiatek western grip forehand speed was in RG sometimes higher than men’s average. The mobility, agility and the mental strength is on the other level. And their age difference is not full two years. Thirdly, Swiatek won her first GS at the age of 19. Do u think in one year time Coco is able to level that? I don’t think so. 12th is her highest ever WTA ranking, by the way. I don’t see in her physicality even she is young such versatile platform as Swiatek has. When asked from her after final in RG, who are the most difficult ever she has played against? Her answer was, a quote: “Asg&Iga, they are on the other level”

In some matches like this Maria just showcases why she is one of the most dangerous players on the tour on a GOOD day. If only she didn't lose her head as much as she does during matches and big moments she would have won multiple big titles by now.

So frustrating to watch Kasatkina, because she has all the tools to be a grandslam champion but her defensive approach to the game has completely stalled her career.
All the tools? Not even close. Her serve is a disaster.
The first set is not just winning a set, it's a humiliation.
I mean a lot of people have won after they lost first set 0-6. Some need time to get the rhythm
Wow, Kasatkina is usually kryptonite for Sakkari, seemed a little defensive and slow today while Maria was hitting good serves and moving well for an easy win.
Sakkari has clearly intentions as she plays. Going to the net when its appropriate and finishing the point. Katsakina seems to figure out something at the end of the match.

I wonder what's changed in Daria's game, she looks so lost. I mean there was a time when she beat Barty in Wimbledon (and rather comfortably) but today she seemed so off. But credits to Sakkari whose improvement in the past year has been a pleasure to watch
Kasatkina stands so far back on grass and is too passive for this surface.
Seems like Kasatkina is only good on clay there she can slide and return strong FH but on grass she is so weak and Sakkari has proved that she's a great contender for the title in Berlin and Wimbledon.
Kasatkina is always weak tbh. She was hitting serves of 60 km/hr at the French open 😂🤦♂️

There is a lack of adaptation in Daria's overall play. She seems to be playing the same way on grass as she does on clay. Monotonous methods won't bring victories.

Yep. While current coach Carlos Martinez has returned Daria her confidence, he has transformed a creative, aggresive player into a solid but boring pusher. She plays like an ATP player - but of course she doesn't have the strength of a man. Her high-bouncing, Nadal-inspired service routine could work for Nadal, but without Nadal arms is a pretty lousy service (even for the men's game, Nadal's serve is nothing extraordinary, and he hasn't fared all that well on grass).
@@rafarequeni822 Lol,two slams and 3 finals on grass,yaa didn't fare that well,that comparison with Rafa itself is downright stupid.Rafa has an offensive game when it matters.He has hit bullet winners off both wings,he can change his game and tactics as per the situation.He is a master at it.Kastkina doesn't have a plan B.
@@N.Kishore I was talking about the serve. Rafa has made 3 finals at Wimbledon *despite* his serve, not thanks to it. Also, he reached those finals when he didn't have much of a plan B, nor the ability to change his game and tactics as per the situation. That maturity came after the 2010's mostly.
Every player needs to practise :
When drop shotted, you saved the ball, but Must use great force returned to baseline... Need to practise the arm power... Otherwise, gave up that point better...

Daria seems to be a very nice person but boy is her game onesided. No dropshots here, no volleys, only hitting basic shots from the baseline.
Daria is adorable, a dogged defender and a serious competitor, but she just doesn't have enough firepower in her game to combat the ladies who can play at multiple levels. Sakkari just too athletic and plays a fine serve-and-volley game when she wants to, besides serving well and able to play behind the baseline. Sorry, Daria, but we love you and you are a sweet-looking young lady.
I thought grass would be a good surface for kasatkinas brand of tennis but it seems to me that she really doesn't understand the surface....i haven't watched her on grass before.

Kasatkina's game on grass is a joke :D Maybe Putin should build her more grass courts.
She's been far more succesful than Sakkari on grass, and I don't think Putin has much to say about building grass courts in Barcelona, where Dasha lives.
