- Before the iconic Thunderbirds launch sequences and before Aqua Marina could swim, the art of Supermarionation was developed in Slough by a crew led by husband and wife team Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. In this clip from Stand By For Action, Gerry, co-founder Arthur Provis, puppeteer Roger Woodburn, and directors David Elliot, Des Saunders, and Alan Pattillo recall there early days making films like Torchy the Battery Boy and Four Feather Falls in an old mansion house on the banks of the Thames before launching Supercar.

Lou Grade was indeed a TV mogul. Sharp on Business, tough to negotiate with , but had vision for the Golden Age of British TV and (ATV) produced other classic Programmes like The Saint , Persuaders, Department S , Jason King etc.....😊
