How is this holding up?
@MakeGood still going strong! Use it on every project. The top has some scratches and dings, but that's it.
Good to see some one holding the true wood and not the waste when cutting on the drop saw with stops. Well done
Gotta say I really love your ingenuity, Marie. I share your challenges with an uneven floor and combining the wheels and the leveling castors was a great approach. Please keep making these videos!
I’ve watched several videos on outfeed/assembly tables and yours is the best in my opinion. I’ll be building mine just like yours. I really like the way you did the casters. Thanks for sharing.
Just love the roller/leveling feet. Finally an out feed table that can work for me. Thank you
Awesome! Glad to hear that!
Thanks for the build video! Well done!! I ordered my plans and built mine this weekend. Just made one modification to mount the bottom shelf flush with the legs so I could get the height from my wheels to my saw top. Came out great! Thanks for the inspiration! Love your channel.
Nice job Marie! I really like your caster mounting and the leveling feet! Well done. Great build and ideas for making a nice solid bench!
Thanks so much! 😊
I finished my DIY Montreal Outfeed Table over the weekend and I love it! The plans were excellent and the video allowed be to know what was coming before each new step. I love the casters, and my table saw's dust hose slips right underneath the overhang. Thanks for a great project!
What a clever workbench! I like how you thought ahead and made the back stick out taking into account the dust hoses! I too have an uneven garage / shop floor. Later this spring I think I will add your design to my workspace. Thank you for posting! I like your creativity!!
Hello my friend.
I liked your wheeled workbench project for the workshop. I watched with admiration. I need such a bench too. Thank you for giving ideas and sharing. Warm hug. I wish you healthy and happy days. Great greetings....
Thank you kindly! Warm wishes
@@DIYMontreal healthy and happy days. You're welcome.
Nice to see a talented women woodworker - gives me ideas as my husband puts his shop together, I am his Ho to person -keep him safe with his saws
I watched a ton of outfeed table builds and ended up coming back to your build. I've also got a small shop and need an efficient, and easily built outfeed table that I can also use as an assembly table. I need to get my shop up and running, and know I need an outfeed table, but don't want to spend the time building a cabinet (I can do that later if I ever want to) so that I can get to building other stuff my shop needs.
Great idea for the shop love the caster and leveling idea it's the leveling idea is also a great safety feature as well as locking into place when your working on your woodworking projects. Thank you for the great idea keep up the great videos
Thank you so much, appreciate it!
That black melamine is sleeeek!
Love the look!
An excellent answer to both a irregular floor and a useful assembly/outfeed table Thank you
Great build Marie, love the idea of the Levelling Feet to go with the Castors, it's usually one or the other when you see other workbench/assembly tables.
Barry (ENG)
Thanks! Couldn't see any other way to make it work with my floors, and I know many others are in a similar situation!
Thanks, I have been watching tons of videos on workbench/out feed taBlew for my small shop(16x16). This is by far the most straight forward, easy to built and sturdy build I’ve seen. Thanks again.
Thank you, glad you like it!
That is a great table.. I am just now moving my shop and this table may be the next out-feed table.
I just bought the plans for this as a thank you for your awesome videos. Looking forward to building it. I used your video of the miter saw dust collection build and it worked out great. Thanks again, jeff
I've been a wood worker for many decades. Needing to replace one of my 25 year old work benches with a mobile work bench, router and outfeed table, I looked around for some different ideas. I will be going with your design for my sloped / wavy garage floor. Keep up the good work!
Wonderful presentations on her videos. A pleasure to watch. a gem
Best design on UA-cam for this type of table! Thank you for sharing this.
Thanks, much appreciated!
Very nice work. I just finished a tool station, and look to finish my table saw/assembly table soon. It's nice to draw inspiration from many woodworkers. Keep up the great work.
Thanks, Happy to contribute to the idea bank!
Hey nice outfield table, simple, no fuss and functional. Thanks for the video.
Glad you like it!
First video I have found for a mobile outfeed table that addressed the dust collect hardware fully!
Nice thinking Marie. I'm really enjoying your videos!
have you ever thought of pouring more concrete to level your floor? love your tutorials, all well done! ♥
Great build! I'm in the process of building one of these (though mine has an job site table saw interested into the bench). Was really great seeing how you made the wheels and the stationary levelers too - I was trying to figure out how to do that as my basement floor is uneven as well. Great ideas and great work!
Love the adjustable feet. Just bought a set for my workbench. Although the legs are the exact same length, my shop has uneven floor so these are definitely going to alleviate this isssue!
Glad this tip came in handy!
I love your channel - I have a job right now, despite these terrible times, so bought your plan, hoping this will help you keep yours... because you deserve to. 🤝
Thank you so much, appreciate it! Stay safe, and hope you get to build it soon.
I have you 360 thumbs up👍
I'm glad you continue to share your videos. You are great at what you do.
The best to you.🤗
Thanks, truly appreciate it! 😊
That was fantastic! Thank you!
I have exactly the same issues with my garage floor. I think I'll be borrowing a few of your ideas here.
Thx really useful content and love your simplistic way of explaining
Nice job Marie enjoy watching you make your projects😃
Thanks so much 😊
es agradable tanto visual como laboral, el ver a una mujer valiente e ingeniosa en el arte de la carpinteria, felicidades y buena figura por cierto
Genius idea with the level feet.... can't tell you how many times I've caught my foot on my locking casters !
Thanks for the link on those clamps, added to my wishlist.
Ha! Reassured with my decision I am!
Really nice and not too complicated work bench /outfeed table 👍🏻
Glad you like it!
Wow your on it. Very nice. You can get self- leveling concrete pour it on and it's like magic it now level. Keep up the good work 💪👷
I’ve watched this before. But it was worth watching again. Still need to replace my old outfeed table. I find it a difficult project to start because the other one does work. But it sure would be nice to have one on wheels.
Great job Marie another great informative video. You make it look simple.
How many years have you been a, handy person/woodworker,Do it yourselfer.
That outfeed table looks awesome!
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this design/build. I downloaded the plans and built it to the cut list and instructions without any issues. I made a couple of small changes...increased the clearance from the legs to the casters to 3/4" versus 1/2"; couldn't get black Melamine but used 3/4" MDF sitting on 1/2" MDF. I used 3 coats of shellac on the top surface. I really liked the leveling legs which makes for a very stable position of the table on an uneven floor, and I think the overall dimensions of the table are perfect for outfeed and assembly. I'd like to show a picture of mine but don't know how to upload...
Ottimo lavoro ben pensato ed eseguito ad arte , in maniera molto fluida e ragionata . Sei molto brava . Pollice in su e subito iscritto. Grazie per aver messo i sottotitoli in italiano , dovrebbero farlo tutti . Al prossimo video.
Really nice work! Just what I need to make.
Awesome! 🙌🏻
Thanks Marie. I bought your PDF plans and built my own version for a workbench. Made mine longer and taller and a bit wider and just went with regular lockable castors that aren't "hidden" like yours. I really like your black melamine top but I could only get white here in the southern Oregon area so had to go with that.
It was pretty easy to cut and build, although I had trouble with the pocket screws which I had never used before. I should have shelled out for the nice looking pocket screw guide you have, but I got something cheaper from Amazon which placed the holes too far away from the top. So I had to use longer pocket screws. I had to hand-drive them as you did, but that didn't help ME avoid driving them too far. I should have practiced on some scrap 2x4s to give me confidence in what was going to happen, but I didn't, so now I have 3 spots in the melamine top where the tips started to come through. (I screwed them with the workbench inverted so the weight would hold everything tightly together) Oh well... it is just a workbench!
I'll put edges on mine as you did, but I still need to get hold of the hardwood and some melamine glue. Thanks again Marie. Very enjoyable watching your channel.
Bonjour, très belle réalisation, bravo👍👏👏😊. Merci pour cette vidéo.
Norbert (France)
Merci beaucoup!
awesome Build. Will build one for myself
Thanks for this video and the parts links. I am building this tomorrow.
Sweet! Hope the build is coming along well. Enjoy!
Nice practical build . (Two (or all) of castors being locking would add to stability )
You know, I had that same thought when I was almost done with the build. In hindsight I would have used locking casters in addition to the feet. Just makes it more practical too.
Hi Marie I am new to your channel and really enjoying some of your simple ideas and methods . I had already built my workbench using a similar method by Tommy Tomkins. Your idea of making it mobile is excellent thank you
Really beautiful job! 😃
I'm going to have to build a few benches soon... But, now, I don't really know how soon it's going to be.
Anyway, stay safe there! 🖖😊
These are unique times indeed... Hope I'll be able to keep putting out projects too. Be safe!
Thanks for the video. Looks like it will be a very useful bench for you.
Sure will! I've needed this badly.
Looks like a very sturdy and simple build. Now that we’re 3 years on I wonder how well it has held up, especially the single sheet of melamine for the top.
Great video. Really like the leveling feet idea.
Thanks!
The black melamine looks so much better than white!!
Agreed!!
Thank you so much for sharing this process. Especially your solve for the wheels and levelers. Curious about the edge banding, has the glue held up against the melamine?
Great work! Purchased your plans (well done BTW) and building mine this weekend.
Thanks for the support! Hope the build guess smoothly 👍
Always excited to see another female woodworker. I do mostly woodturning..trying to get into some table building though. Just subbed! I'm in Maine so we are practically neighbors!!! :-)
Sweet, thanks for the sub neighbour! stay safe
Thanks for sharing Stay safe during this pandemic God Bless
Thank you, you too
If worried about gluing edge trim to that type of board: bondo for wood, spread the bondo on outside edge, sand smooth, glue your trim.
Can also use the all purpose bondo.
Thanks for the tip!
Great video and easy to follow 😊
Hi there, great job. I love your work, very nice and clean
Thank you very much!
Poplar is underrated as a hardwood. Spalted poplar is my favorite for drawer fronts.
Finally someone who understands me! ;-)
I haven't come across much spalted poplar in lumber stores but love the look.
Great video. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for watching!
Great build!!
Thanks!!
Nice Job!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant!
I like it very helpful and strong
I like your technique!
Work smart not hard👍
I used those lever type casters with optional plates for removal on a just finished mft/router/assembly/out feed/tooling storage table. I don’t like them, the table isn’t yet loaded with tooling but they’re very hard to engage/disengage to the point I don’t bother.. They’re absolutely bound to fail and were expensive as you point out. Live and learn, thanks for sharing.
Sorry to hear that, but it's reassuring to know I made the right decision not going with those. Thanks!
@@DIYMontreal I think they'd be fine for light weight tables (they worked OK before I added the top). For the benefit of anyone reading this thread I think the way to go for heavy benches which need to be mobile are leveling casters with handles/levers. I see some on YT, researching them now.
Love this video - you have a very practical approach, with a touch of humor. Very nice. Plus, you're savvy to what the people want - MOAR CATS! :) Subscribed.
I was really inspired by this, and I fixed a chair leg with duck tape.
Hope you video'd and posted to your YT channel.
This video needs more views!!!
excellent work I hope to soon become a work table for me .. 👍🏽🙋♂️
My floor is super unlevel too. I have an outfeed table that I made when I first moved in. It is larger than what I need and it is not super stable. This is a great idea to replace it and to get it level.
Great work on the outfeed / workbench Marie! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Thanks for the continued support JP! 😊
Your very welcome Marie! Have a great week!😎
Great build
Thanks!
Your woodworking looks easy and simple but output looks great and nice ~~ great skills~~
Thank you kindly!
@@DIYMontreal 👍👍
Another nice build.
Thanks!
Good build. I like your style.
Thank you! Cheers!
i learned something from you today and that is using those two clamsp to go all the way across the table and clamped... the shop fox track saw dust collector leaves a little to be desired, ill keep my festool one , alot better at dust control.... good work though...
Go Girl .....keep up the good work
Great job!
Thanks!
Nice and Simple like always
Thank you 😊
Awesome!!
Marie, very nice work...
Thank you!
Great job! 👏💐🇦🇺✌️
And I thought MY garage (workshop) floor was bad ! Nice strong unit, I didn't think of melamine coated board for my table, used 18 mm MDF. Got it from a local builder's merchant and it seemed a bit heavy and dark. It came from Brasil and when given a coat of boiled linseed oil it turned the colour of dark chocolate ! Mmmm
Nice! Must look good... And yummy 😉
As for the garage floor, the worst part is that it's much better than it was before 😆 We work with what we have.
Double great(my shop floor in the barn is similar)...cheers rr Normandy, Fra.
Nice work Marie, you're quite the professional, ma'am. I know that I miss several of your videos, but it's fun to see your progression. I need to start from scratch and make my first table saw sled, a full sized one, as opposed to your mini-sled.
Thanks Jim, I'll tell you a secret... I need to make a full size crosscut sled too! Still don't have one. 😯
@@DIYMontreal I know that I'm going to make one with a bed panel that's at least 16 inches (about 40.75 CM) wide from front to back... the largest piece I foresee cutting in the sled would be 12 in. (30 CM) then another inch (2.5 CM) for clearance, then add about 3 more inches for the front and back fences.... Adding up to at least 16 inches! I was stunned when I just did the math.
However, I confess to cheating on the runners. I bought a set of "ZEROPLAY Miter Bars by MICROJIG (Double Pack)" from Amazon. This way I KNOW I won't get the runners wrong. lol!!! It's really nice to chit chat with you. Take Care.
Brava!
Nice job!
Thanks!
Отличная работа,хороший рабочий стол
Well done.
Thanks!
Great design just right for getting things out of the way too! Sadly cant find local Black Melamine must be ordered and no telling when it comes in. Im building a similar design as well but with my own dimensions. Thanks for the inspiration and links :)
Love this build! I might skip on the middle shelf tho to save a few bucks haha
I really like your solution for the wheels and that was an excellent tip to keep the poplar edging flush with the melamine surface!
Thanks, happy to share a couple tips that may be useful 😊
Nice build. 👍
Thanks 👍
