Hi, Max! Thanks, I've got and read your NEWSLETTER 6. "Before you believe something, look at who's paying for it" - this is practically one of a basic ruls of life :)
Hi, Max. How are you?. I finally know why I can't understand people when they speak fast. I'll try to train my listening even more. By the way, I appreciate your video as always and look forward to the next one. Saludos!
Hi Max! Very interesting video! Many times I asked myself if I was hearing wrong some of these words, now I know they sound different when they are pronounced fast. Thank you so much for your help!
Unfortunately there aren't really any rules regarding those words, and there are lots of people who don't reduce them. For example, some people pronounce "probably" as "prolly" sometimes, but plenty of people don't do it. So it's good if you can understand when people are reducing these words, but you don't need to do it when you speak. :)
Great suggestion! I can't promise anything, but I'll definitely add it to my list :). (We don't usually reduce "about" except in some common phrases like "how (a)bout X" 😉.)
It means no one should be considered guilty without a full proof. For example, suppose you suspect a guy committed a crime, but you aren't quite sure. There is a doubt that he indeed committed the crime. Hence, you don't accuse him, you don't.press charges against him, because there isn't a full evidence that he is a criminal. In other words, you gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Yes, Artur gave a very good explanation :). Another example is if you think someone might be lying to you, but you decide to assume they're telling the truth. You could say: I realised John might have been lying, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
They're used in both British and American English. Some are a bit different, and those are the ones that I pointed out (when I said: In American English, it's like this...").
Ciao so che sei australiana ma capisci anche un po' l'italiano, ti vorrei chiedere una cosa, com'è l'Australia come paese per un viaggio?? Ho questo sogno di fare un viaggio in questo paese che mi sembra bellissimo!!! Spero di venire prima o poi! Grazie se mi risponderai♥️
Hi! I hope you don't mind me replying in English. I understand your question, but it's hard for me to write in Italian. :) Australia has a big tourism industry, so yes, there are lots of things to do! But unlike Europe, people don't come here for museums and architecture. ;) People mainly come to see beaches and different types of landscapes. You should also be aware that it's quite expensive if you're coming with euros (although obviously that also depends on the current exchange rate). Spero che questo ti aiuti un po '!
Thank you for your efforts. Haahhhhh you made me laugh when you said my name is Max. You don't have say that you are famous as the sun .waht the meaning of naughty? Is it used for swaring.
I heard that you can quickly learn to understand and speak English, if you watch five films in English at once. But I usually fall asleep in the middle of the first movie... 🙄
@@EnglishwithMax Yes. My friend said that this is how he studied English. After the fifth film, the brain ceases to resist and begins to understand everything. But my brain says: I go to sleep, bye! 🙄

Hi Max I am a big fan of yours.
This vidio is useful for me:) thank's
Thanks for watching!
Great lesson!
I'd like a video about reductions made in the middle of sentences, with words like: remember, little, already, probably, etc.
It's very funny! The beginning and end of every video is particularly interesting.
😀
And I think you could do a video ‘bout (reduction?) the usage and subtleties of the word “just”, it would so interesting. Thanks.
Great suggestion! I can't promise anything, but I'll definitely add it to my list :).
(We don't usually reduce "about" except in some common phrases like "how (a)bout X" 😉.)
I thank you so much, Max.
I think you'd have more success on this platform 'cause you are such a good teacher! 💛

Amazing.very effective. r u safe?

Thank you for your efforts.
Haahhhhh you made me laugh when you said my name is Max. You don't have say that you are famous as the sun .waht the meaning of naughty? Is it used for swaring.
Haha, I'm far from famous!
"Naughty" means behaving badly. It's often used for children. 😉

Do you mean five films in a row (consecutively)?

I suppose it's another form of "total immersion". 😃
