They're using RWD(Rear Wheel Drive) and the rear tires are made of foam polymer that's why their cars never get maximum speed in straight (most RC cars are fast) because always slips therefore make them drift in cornering then the front tires are made of Rubber Compund or Plastic for stabilize and make it directionally.
As soon as I saw that first turn I was Bihoku!!!!! I love how they put the tires and stuff on the outside too and it even has the slight decline. Super Authentic

It's just the tires. You can make anything drift with the right tire. I have seen people cover their traxxas tmax tired in pvc and drift all day. But it's a certain type of tire. I guess you need enough power also to make it kick out and start drifting when you need it too but is day motor wise those cars are all stock

Hey makers of RC models and manufacturers here is my idea i think to make the RC units more enticing you could install a audio system but instead of music the sound of the vehicles at the the press of the gas so if its a fast car it would have a rough bassy effect. koooooool
The blue and yellow S13's most certainly are. The rest are some variance of what's referred to as CS or countersteer. It's a modified 4wd setup where the rear tires spin faster than the front to simulate rwd but still have some control like an awd and requireing you to countersteer like a rwd and not steer into the turn like an awd.
I love how you guys have, a scaled bihoku! I will definitely bring my drift rc, to Japan. When I visit.
