I don't think ryder should have collaborated with the ballas but the character who gave him the voice quit because he didn't talk anymore so it's possible that the rockstar had to make ryder collaborate with the ballas

Yea and the hood would be complete also it would be cool if the reason they go back to cj's side is bcs tenpenny tells them he was just using them this whole time and after that they kill tenpenny and boom the whole team is complete and all of them would watch tenpenny die
