  • Back in 2000 Randy did a video with Ross Hinter, one of Alberta's Fur Management Trappers, his daughter Angela and his good friend George Mitchell. We have taken and put the animals covered into separate videos. Some really good information on Fur Management and most of it still relevant today.
This video covers the Beaver and is presented by George Mitchell, Angela Hinter and Ross Hinter.

Was still going strong at 82 , outstanding. Had a neighbor still busting dirt and planting a small garden in his 90’s . Interesting frame system for the trap . Makes perfect sense after he explained it . Thanks for the info. Have a great day

I've got a beaver problem myself. He's taken out dozens of trees and has built a nice corn stalk lodge in the middle of the river. Funny how he's not using any of the wood really just eating the bark and cutting like a kid with a brand new saw. I'm not wanting to play with steel traps and access to him and his lodge is really accessible. I would love a bushcraft style trap/snare set-up to get him with. I have a permit to do whatever.

      hi...you can't snare a beaver...
their neck is bigger than their head...
if you want to take the big ones and leave the little ones alive...
you trap 200+ feet away from their "whouash".
