It was the furthest it went without one to start the year since 2016. It even surpassed it. Now in 1994, it's unlikely to reach it.
Rains was something else this year for all of motorsports
Martin Truex Jr was announced as a regular season champion after the red flag came out from the massive crash in end of stage 2 in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona. (Crash happened in 8:08)
It's weird that the first (regular season) Red Flag was not at Daytona xD

Some red flags had more than one incident, many rain delays only because of crashes. Both marked, as weather delays were a necessary precaution to the crash.
With the Indy 500 coming to Fox in 2025 it would make sense for the network to use its NASCAR theme for the race.
How bout every black flag in the 2023 season?
So, for exhibition races, are the Duels one event, or did you not count the All-Star Open?

Their No Red Flag for Ryan Preece Flip in backstretch before turn 3 because backstretch Grass before turn 3.
Why nascar don't make wet tyres?
They do they tested them durling the 2023 all star race heats
Goodyear does have wet weather tires, but they are only used on road courses and occasionally on short tracks. This is because the compounds for wet weather tires would wear out far too fast on the superspeedways and intermediates.

The fact that most of the red flags were for rain delays show just how bad nascar is and that their “checking the forecast” is false
