@@Jason.cbr1000rr In my experience there is a pretty common theme of trauma and/or mental illness. There are so many reasons I could go on and on. Nature vs nurture kind of thing. Sometimes you hear someone’s story and it’s so horrific you instantly understand. Developing a drinking problem later in life is common with bariatric surgery patients. A lot of people start with prescribed meds and take a long pathway down. Divorce. Shitty parents. Covid… the reasons are endless for men and women. I’m a recovering addict, working on 4 years of total sobriety after 10-15 years of using heroin and whatever else was around . My childhood was great, no other addictions in my family. Started using in high school to fit in and checked out from life. 8 trips to rehab in 8 years, three trips to jail, multiple overdoses, homelessness etc etc. I only say that to say that recovery IS possible.

Big Herc is truly a pioneer. Very intelligent and amicable man. For sure he has a scary side but he's really sharing some valuable information for some. For others, he puts things into perspective and gives another take on things. People get to see the bigger picture and that can only be a good thing considering the raw nature of the content.

Not your California prisons, but tough enough to remember. Seems like a different life, a different lifetime ago, but it always sticks with you. I still have prison habbits, like flushing the damn toilet a couple times while I take a shit....lol.
I was able to put most of that behind me, but my name follwed me around for a long time. Well, actually....my dad's name follwed me around for a long time afterwards. It's a different experience when your name is recognized, even if you are not. Robert Alton Harris Sr.

I have far more respect for someone like Garrett who once lived in darkness, but has now elevated himself to a much higher vibration, than I do for many here in the free world. We have everything you could want here, but great numbers of people choose to live in a very low spiritual condition. Or completely disconnected from higher thought and intention. I like that he didn't cover his tattoos, to remember who he used to be. That's real. But that's not who he is now. Our society has entered a stage where the very concept of forgiveness is being abandoned and disparaged in homogeneous mass culture. As though a man cannot ever change his heart. But he can. This is a far greater achievement than simply skating through life without ever having done anything that bad, but never doing anything good either. I only hope I can uplift myself as substantially as this.

You're talking nonsense. This guy was far worse than people in a low "spirirtual condition". Some of you get so carried away when you watch these videos about people who change their lives you forget that the vast majority of people live good lives from the start. I would not want to be anywhere near this guy before he changed. If you were one of his victims you wouldn't be stlaying anything.

To my people who aren’t in prison understand debt of any kind is not good. In the free world it’s a dream killer. Proverbs 22:7 the borrower is slave to the lender.
I encourage all to familiarize themselves with the “baby steps” concept to living a debt free lifestyle to build wealth and eventually be able to give and be outrageously generous. God bless and merry Christmas
