@David Erick Ramos I know this video is a few years old, but as an Irish flute and whistle player (and an aspiring ocarina player) I just wanted to say great job on these tunes. If you haven't heard Lunasa play the Malbay Shuffle, you should definitely check them out.
You are such an inspiration! Ive played a tin flute for a few months, but struggled a little going from newbie to more skilled. THere just seemed to be soo little info out there compared to an ocarina. So I can proudly say I have swapped over, starting on scratch again. Bought a tenor and a bass.-ocarina. HAving so mutch fun. And I notice my practice with a tin-whistle (+a 6 hole ocarina Ive had for about 15 years. WIch I almost traded my soul to get. Its a old Songbird one) really has helped me out alot!

Any video btw on techniques on how to smoothly release the back -holes for higher notes? I feel like im struggling too mutch as my ocarinas are mutch heavier than my tin flutes

I'm seeing a D Major piece that is out of range for a single chamber C or even D ocarina. It's been transposed to they key of F Major (shifted down 9 or up 3 semitones) to fit in the range of a C ocarina. So far as I can tell even shifting down by 7 or up by 5 to G Major would fit on a C ocarina. Someone correct me if this is not right as I am still learning!

Hey! I just ordered an ocarina that's similar to the one you're playing here and I was wondering - the two smaller holes on the top, does that make a big difference compared to other 12-holes? I didn't realize until after ordering that both of those small holes were on the same side, and I'm worried it'll make the tuning weird
