LOL, it's great when you find a how to video for the exact model bike you're working on. Just so happens I'm building a 310cc as well. Thanks for the video, keep up the good work.
So you're the one who showed my wife to use my crescent wrench as a hammer. Now one more thing did you also show her a screwdriver makes a good chisel? stay safe
Nice - gotta see what's in there all nice and shinny! Will the indention around the sightglass get painted or am I just seeing the reflection through it (@ 3:49)?
Hey there brother, I have a custom clear clutch cover ... apparently there's no information on installing a site glass.. I took the OEM site glass out its in good shape.. so I did push it in but it popped free from oil pressure after putting back assembly.. So you recommend tapping it into place.. and I didn't see or hear you mention anything about freezing the the sight glass and then installing...is that necessary...thanks for your help...Great video👌🏾💯
I think I just put a new sight glass that came with a rubber seal in.... seems like it was a tight fit, so I use rubbing alcohol around the rubber seal so that it would fit in tightly, and once the alcohol dried off, it was tight.....
@@MrDuhfactor ok.. im going to try your method...seems the most reasonable...I did not try and tap the sight glass on the first attempt to seat it.. Makes sense ...I too have the glass in the rubber seal already...I took the oem sight glass out of my OEM clutch cover..in great condition.. I wish this was a screw in deal..would alleviate so many nuisances. But thank you for your help and keep the rides fun and free!
That was very nice! Thank you. When I look at my new motorcycle sight glass, the metal back plate with holes just behind the glass is a little dirty (something like a corrosion). And it’s a brand new motorcycle! Do you know what it could be? Pls help. Thanks.
y'all aint sayin it right. it's bo`n-a-fee-de`... what wrong wit you? :P Now that I've said that, I'd love to finda seriously cajun motovlogger.. That'd be the most perfect thing ever.
My Dad would freak out if he saw you knocking that in with a wrench...lol...I learned at a young age to always use the right tools for the job.
looking forward to the final version!
it shall be glorious!

Man this makes me want a WR250R I bought a porky KLR 650 which is a nice bike but not as light as the Yamaha.
+PunchingMegaTree WR is 276 wet
lol is this bike going back together one part - one video at a time?
I think he tried testing his old pump with river water!
Where did you order the sight glass from?
Tanner McVey We ordered it through a local dealer bud.

you need to take old school out and blow the cobwebs off the Cobb...... get my drift
but how did you remove it?
I just pushed it from the outside in and it popped right out.... Its only held in there by a rubber grommet if I rember right....
Mmmmmmm Metric....... ;)
