On the past few flights I've been practicing a higher than normal approach while maintaining about 5 kts extra speed on the base leg. This has worked out OK as long as there is a headwind to help steepen the approach and reduce the rollout. The Avanti has no brakes. On this flight, there was no wind.

Great explanation of each situation that led up to the runoff!
I find when I’m certain my rollout will exceed the runway’s length, I keep the nose wheel straight allowing the grass to slow the craft to a stop. Less stress on the gear and reduces the chance of upsetting the plane.
    Another video well done!👍👍

Thanks! Yes, I definitely agree on rolling straight ahead into the grass. Doing so would have prevented the tip over. Should have mentioned that.
The only reason I started the turn was because I thought there was enough runway left to make it. Obviously not! Next time: when in doubt, straighten out.

From where I was standing when the Avanti left the runway, almost 400 feet away, it looked like the plane - and time - just stopped while it teetered on the edge. To recreate that sense of it just hanging there, I slowed the video down just a bit at that moment. Watch the clock!
