Local man's paintings scam the art world

- If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, in the art world, Ken Perenyi's imitations have made him a pariah with a paintbrush. "It was a love. It was a passion. It was a contest of wits," says Perenyi from his waterfront art studio in Pinellas County.
I think this is talent not a scam
The art world is a giant tax scam anyway.
Not everyone can afford the real art I like his thoughts on this I paint myself I don't have the patience to do what he does but I would do the same thing as him if I could wrong or right.
The art world, the auction houses, antique dealers, second, third and fourth rate buyers and sellers, RELY on forgers. Without them, there wouldn't be enough 'churn' in the market to keep their doors open. He realized after many years that both Sotheby's and Christie's had a policy of Buyer Beware' and there were no guarantees that the artwork was authentic. He rightly saw that as an invitation to do business. The 'experts' often were nothing of the sort and they erred on the side of authenticating whatever they could, because the money and commissions were dependent on that. Too bad all the 'experts' didn't learn as much as he did about painting - but they didn't have the talent or didn't want to work hard.
Barnett Newman was the greatest con man in the history of the art world.

The best art forgers are the ones who haven't been caught. How about an interview of those?

I love your talent
Anyone making this guy out to be some kind of hero, watch "How to Fool the Experts..." He explains himself quite clearly. If afterwards, you still believe Mr Perenyi is to be revered, then you might want to reassess your own intellectual honesty.
Why are the 'experts' never interviewed, they are the fakers not the art they validate wrongly. Auction houses are all part of the scam, jsut read their disclaimers.
His paintings are beautiful. That's all that matters.

Thank you. I enjoy a good art forger as much as anybody (Beltracchi comes to mind), but this guy is so enamoured of himself, in such a dishonest, obnoxiously bullshite way, it's sickening.
