I'd be afraid to go to one of these drum shows. All of those double bass kits would have been coming home with me!
They are there to be sold!

Mike!!! Seriously can’t thank you enough for this just a fun ride through American drums right now. You got your finger on the pulse of this community Brotha. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for supporting the channel.
Twas another very great drum show. Picked up a bunch of heads for cheap (you know the booth). 9 heads for $90? Can't beat that. Also a few parts and a Dream ride cymbal from Hawthorne Drum Shop. Meet Tim Baltes and Josh Breslow. That was truly awesome. Dropped your name of course 😁.
The heads I bought were sure not that price, but you gotta pay a premium for goat hide heads! Thanks for letting them know you enjoyed their videos.
Thanks Mike.
Thanks
Great to meet in person Mike!

Thanks!
That is one delicious looking candy shop... Had a busy weekend this year, but I will make it there next year. Thanks for the tour.
Happy to help fill you in on what you missed!
Great video, Mike! Thank you for recording your walk through the 2023 Chicago Drum Show.
Absolutely, great booth as always!
@@malonedrum, thank you!
Great show!!! Loved it!!!
Always!
I went there in 2012. Lots of fun.
So, who’s playing drums on the track on this video and what kind of drums and cymbals is he playing?🙂
That’s a backing track I recorded quickly to these organ loops I had. Just some Gretsch drums and Bosphorus cymbals
@@malonedrum what model Bosphorus ride? I need that cymbal! Sounds killer!
@@saydlowski It's a 21" 1600 Era Ride
@@malonedrum Very nice playing.
Thank yo for taking me along to my first drum show. I just visited my first drum shop on Saturday. That was an overwhelming experience. I can’t even begin to imagine what going to a drum show would be like. Did you buy anything?
I bought a lot.... of little things. Added up, but fun stuff to share sooner or later!
@@malonedrum I live in South Bend, WA. Our son lives in Tacoma which is bout an hour south of Seattle. There is a community next to Seattle called Bellevue, and that is the home of West Coast Drums. Within the actual drum store is a section called Donn’s Drum Vault. Donn has had quite a few videos on UA-cam showcasing his wares. So we also got to see all of the vintage gear he had on display in his vault. It was pretty cool, but quite small compared to an actual drum show with all of those venders showing off their sweet gear.
@@gregwonhoff7161 I’m familiar with them!
Can you please tell me what song this is and what cymbol do you think they're using sounds great!
It's jus a loop of from a sample pack of jazz organ/keys stuff. The cymbal is a Bosphorus 21" 1600 era ride.
Who was selling the pearl ferrone snare? I need one of those
I’d love to tell you who, but it would like finding a needle in a haystack and then remembering where exactly it came from at this point.
Who had the yellow Peavey drums?
Atlanta Pro Percussion
What's the name of the shop at 3:08?
It was a husband and wife, but honestly can't remember exactly their names.
7:55 mark / gretsch set / who had that ?
Classic American Drums, check them out on Facebook.
@@malonedrum appreciate ya
Better than NAMM!
I’d tend to agree!
I’ve been to many shows over my 50 years drumming, but I don’t bother anymore. All you see is brand new gear from shops or crap that has issues. You can keep it.
Guess you don’t go to this show.
