Watching your video from Texas. The date on video is 12 days ago, so I'm a bit late but, still enjoyed your project. Appreciate your sharing your thoughts, experience, knowledge and creative expertise. Thoroughly enjoyed watching you two working so very diligent and very hard. I'm 73 yrs old, been in a wheelchair for 15 years but, work in the garden when I can. I worked in construction from age 15 to 50 and I'm a minister. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to your next one. Blessings and prayers ☝ 🙏 🙌 💪 ❤🎯💯% in Jesus's Mighty Name to you and family for safety, strength, health, discernment, peace and success in all that you set your minds and hearts to accomplish. Hope that your end of year celebrations are peaceful, full of joy and flow fully into beginning of next year. 😊👊
Poor little puppy, hopefully feeling better soon. The speed of the cement mixer is amazing, I actually thought you had speeded up the video 😳😳, nice video.
🎉🎉🎉, 33K and growing! 🎉🎉🎉! Great job getting that footer done! Ian, you should apply for your Mason’s ticket! 😁. The rally car looks excellent, can’t wait to see the footage from the rally! Julie, when this project is all finished and you have moved in, I do believe a spa day is in order! 😆
It's not called watching. Her favorite part is called supervising. Is it just the camera but it seems like that mixer spins too fast. I still think that is a cool little car and has to be allot of fun. Great setup for the tool kit. What spare parts do you take with you? Need a pit crew? I need to see if there is a version of those blocks being sold by someone here in the US. I have a project those would be perfect for. A short wall base for a shed where the slab is at grade and needs to be built up before framing. You would be jealous of my 4' long blow gun I use for cleaning the shop. No bending over. And there are longer ones. Thanks for the shots of the tool store. I'm always looking in the background. And yeah tygon tubing is pricey. And do you like those lights in the tech room so far. When I get the shop ceiling finished I want to redo the lighting and have it very bright and I see everyone using those now.
It is a big mixer, no speed control. No fast than my other smaller ones. I see a lot of those lights now in peoples workshops - they do work well with a good strong even light.
Hiya, Been following you since the beginning, glad to see its all going well, just a couple of suggestions that may work for you? I would use your cordless drill set on 1 in place of the twizzle on the rebar a lot easier. You should really have the mixer running before adding the aggregate etc, it mixes easier and doesn't put so much strain on the mechanism. Finally use buckets of water from a large water butt next to the mixer to add to the mix it will be much more consistent, because after trial and error you will use the same amount of water for each mix same as you do for the sand etc. Hope that helps? Paul. Plymouth UK
Cheers Paul, Yes the mixer is normally running but I emptied the trailer so Julie could go and get some more - then the cord snapped (I had dumped bag of cement into it also in readiness). But in future it will be turning. Just some mortar today so an easy job.
Not here - concrete trucks are expensive plus I would need a pump - so unless more than 3 cube it is not worth it. Most builders here will mix their own with individual components (not pre mix bags).
The skid steer I'm guessing that the rear idler sprocket is a shaft with the sprocket ( locked in by bolts) being able to self-align by having some free play which you have removed with the washer modification, I don't see a grease nipple so my guess is bearings rather then bushing. I feel your worry about my suggestion of using counterweights & extending the foot pad is the effect on the idler, if the bearings are a smaller size then with some minor machining step up to a bigger bearing which you could also up size the shaft & attachment bolts. What ever modification should be passed back to the manufacture which I am sure they will appreciate because 1/ with 33 K of subscribers you have a big audience & people see THEIR product in use. 2/ by them modifying THEIR machine to your suggestions shows that they are progressive & willing to listen, today in todays world full of miss information & dis information this is a refreshing change. You are correct, the bearing slides along the shaft, but when tension is put on it such as a left turn it just kept throwing the track. So reducing the outer play has kept it in line. There is still movement but not as much. I do like the idea of upgrading the bearings though. I will look into this and try and chat with Nuoman, not spoke to the in a while.

Glad the pup is doing better! Always love seeing the rally car as well. Looking forward to seeing the block work!
Block work starts today - it has not stopped raining for the past week
@ hopefully you got plenty of rest during the rain. That block work is physical.

Thanks - hoping to get the car out shortly for some snow testing.
We had bad storm on Friday night, a lot of damage here and in Britain. No damage to our property or neighbours thank god.
We had it bad for 3 days and then constant rain - drainage project will be on the cards now.
Don't forget your dust mask when blowing out that concrete dust - it can cause respiratory issues! Great work BTW!
Yes! Thank you! I always forget 😬

nice progress. Rally car progress as well.
Thanks 👍
You can use a drill and socket to start the mixer
First thing I tried but the mixer is too big, it just tightened the nut and no rotation ☹️

Are you planning to build a wall next to that hill? I can just see it coming down on you. Doing a great job. I am Joy I Central Florida USA
That is the plan - these are the foundations for it. Just it won't stop raining so we can get it up and finished
5:21 Ian, I refer to my wife 'spectating' while I struggle... 😐
"Can I help you with that" while drinking a coffee looking over the wall 🤣
Isn't getting a concrete truck easier? No hauling bags of base material etc.
