Think I may have to give this a go after the WHW. Thanks for continuing to share. I stayed at the Punch Bowl inn in late 90's when I was on a School trip I remember it being a nice place/area. Would be cool to stop there again 20 years later :)
@@darrencurtisuk Oops, bit of late reply. Re-watching your vids again, readying for my camping season to start. You probably read on forum I made it to Beinglass and a big storm came in and next few days looked proper miserable and I knew the next sections were quite exposed so I bailed. I averaged about 11 miles a day. Hoping to improve on that this year. Going to be doing a few trips to Lakes and Dales in May/June then continue my WHW from Beinglass in July.
@@darrencurtisuk Can't bloody wait to get back out. Wish I'd made as much effort losing some weight on the Bod as I have in pack though lol Out this Friday for quick over nighter or two in the Dales.
Really enjoying these videos Darren. Nice and clear where you are and the little bits of info imparted are great. I’m planning the WHW for next spring , what’s your jacket? I keep trying to read the logo and it’s driving me mad.
Hello Darren, I am enjoying your great videos as I do my research about C2C. I want to hike it with my family next year. What time of year is the best, regarding good weather. I am from San Diego, California and it would be nice to have pleasant weather.
Darren, I'm so pleased you enjoyed Swaledale. It's one of my favourite walks in England and I don't think many people know about it. Did you go up to the ruins of Crackpot Hall? You were very close to it.
Wow… looking forward to this section👌🏽
Cheers
Lovely series - such peaceful footage without the need to get up at 5am myself to experience it
Haha, so true
Loving the videos, looks like you have hit the weather very well 👍
Yes, got lucky with the weather thankfully. Cheers
Apologies if the editing was a bit sharp on this one in parts! Absolutely STUNNING section from leaving Keld

Hi Marissa. I would suggest June as the best month. Tends to be the best month for weather.
Good luck :-)
Smashing them miles Daz I'm really excited to do this now next year. What size is your atompack and what weight you hauling. Atb daz
40Litre, think my pack weight without food and water was just shy of 4kg. Very minimal kit. Cheers buddy

No I didn't, I gather it was just a few mins from where the path splits?
Thought I'd save it till my next time up in that area!
The crows could of been the local parrot's.
They soon had me up and onto the trail. LOL
