This is one of the OG fan films and one that gets so many people into 40K including myself, glad you enjoyed it!
The marines in this video are a fan made chapter called the Retributors and as far as we have been informed they are Imperial Fist successors (sons of Dorn) - Those orbs are xenos trying to build those large golden statues, to what end we never find out - its such a shame he never got to continue the series - there is a small teaser for Astartes 2 but to this day a sequel has never been released and from how GW runs itself now we unfortunately may never get a follow up.
something you'll only notice if you pay really close attention~ there's only 5 space marines doing the attack. So the marine that sneaks up on the psykers at 9:27 is actually one of the two marines that open fire at ground level at 8:37. He sneaks around to the right so the psykers blast the position at 9:08 and think they stunned two marines when there's still a marine left unaccounted for.
You can hear the inquisitor say " Recall them immediately!" If you listen carefully 16:15

So to answer some questions that I saw in the video you had
The space marines are known as the Retributors chapter (custom chapter made by the creator)
The normal humans fighting the space marines are some unknown heretical cult
The person connected to the orb was an ordo Malleus inquisitor (basically a daemon hunter) you can tell by the symbol on his back and shoulder
They weren’t trying to destroy the orb they were trying to listen to it to find out their plans and that was what the inquisitor was trying to do before he heard the words “YOU MUST TAKE THEM” he told the space marines to recall them but then he got possessed and became a daemonhost
The massive sort of unfinished statue in that room is weird but my theory is there is a daemon or warp entity in that orb and normally such things cant exist in reality unless there is a warp storm, certain rituals are preformed, or they have a meat puppet that they possess a human but the statue in my guess is a away around it to have a body in reality
And lastly when the space marine was absorbed into the orb something killed the entity and he just appeared somewhere in the warp

@@Mattpo187 well it may happen GW did hire the creator and license his project making it canon and they teased that Astartes 2 would be on their “warhammer+” along with the rest of their animations and shows
