You didn't mention the two depressions in the bottom that allow two or more boxes to stack evenly. (Though at $35 each stacking them gets expensive...)
35 is way too much I can get 7 of the heavy duty Rubbermaid sandwich containers to protect my sandwich(and do have 2 of them currently that I have had for over 20 years) for that one but I do really like Stanley products. They get that to 15 to 20 bucks might be more interested in buying but thank you for the review on it keep them coming
You can get an Otterbox for that price, or a waterproof box from a competitor like Plano. If it's supposed to be a lunch box which is what the 18/8 steel implies why not get... a lunch box. Or a set of like 20 meal prep containers (which is what I use, I make all my lunches on Sunday and they're ready to go the rest of the week).
They don’t state that it is oven safe, but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work. It would make a great baking pan for brownies or a small cake and the lid on top would be perfect for storage. That’s a great idea. Thanks for watching and the comment.
From what I see and that they don't state that it is oven safe, I wouldn't put it in the oven and definitely not in a fire. If it had no coating and no plastic on the lid clips it would probably be oven and fire safe.
You would have to (and can easily) remove the clips on the bottom of the box since they have rubber rollers to secure the top. They are steel and can easily removed for cooking and put back on when done .
So, looking at the box; Was wondering if you could put the heating pack from an F.R.H. in there with "a little water" and an entree pouch from an MRE. Do you think that could work?
You should be able too (I have not tested that yet) the clips has rubber rollers on them to secure to the lid. That can easily be removed for cooking and put back on afterward.
What are you doing with all that gear? I live, hunt and fish in a super remote part of the planet......18 hour drive through the tundra to the nearest small city......I don't know a single person who has that much gear! Sure hope your putting it to good use.
? You can use anything for this. I have a 10yr old Tupperware with latches. $3 dollar store works great. Has a removable gasket. But not a Barbie "kit" accessory like this.
It's funny that nobodys asked if they could boil water in it yet. Any time someone posts a video about a stainless steel lunchbox, some bushcrafter wants to cook in it... just buy a pot...
Yes it does cost over $30 for what looks and feels like the aluminum bud light bottle version of a take-out throw away container, but it does come with free lead poisoning.
I have mom's Tupperware from 1982 it is the same size, waterproof and was free. 😆
$35 is a bit much for a box that's not insulated or water tight.
I was waiting to see what cool 'useful' tools or cookware came inside the box.... especially for that price.
35 bucks? Thats too much for a tin box
steel
@@itsahandlebro really?
It says Stanley on it. Incredible personalization if you also happen to be named Stanley, or love things named Stanley.
2:25 it's where the video starts
Only in 2024 can you buy an empty box for $35 🤔😡
You're right! They're much cheaper now!
The people who bought pet rocks needed a new box for them.
@@BruceRouslin😂😂😂
It comes filled with Kamala Harris' promises.

Pretty nice stuff. Thanks for test-driving it for us.
Wish they made one half that size. I got a raging river haversack I've used for a couple years,I really like it.

$12 would be a good price for what it is. But with our worthless dollar now $42 = $12 a few yrs ago.
It's definitely a good size and I can see plenty of uses for it.
But $35 ? WOW !
@barnyard outdoors, your video is genius. You waste no time and you're super enjoyable to listen to. glad I found you
In a nearly 6 minute video about the useful box, it took over 2½ minutes to start talking about & showing the useful box. 🤦🏻
@@utubepunk I was about to say this video could have been an email.
You can put your weed in there😮
😂 No seal, so it will stink.
No weed, but it would hold a lot of Twinkie’s and Ho Ho’s . (Or whatever your favorite munchie snacks are )😉
Missing the joke, SNL skit
Dandelions ???
Put your greenery in a good ziplock in the bottom of your pack. When you’ve hiked 5 or ten miles it should be broke up and ready to roll.
I've made leather patches, mine is a small round survival mirror, and one as a sharpener stone. Both really just a novelty.
“I’m so excited I haven’t even opened it” 😂😂😂

Could it be used without the lid to bake in? Then after the bake goods cool, the lid would/should keep varmints [maybe small kids also] out of it.

$35 for a box? I dunno.. I am on the fence about this one. Thanks for the video brother
Overpriced junk
Looks like a great little box
Looks useful. Looks legendary.
That looks like a great piece of gear to have!
I like it and will probably get one, but yea the O-ring guys come on!
Wow! Now I can MAKE Lasagna on a campout! I'm In!
Great box to store some candy in .
I was thinking it would be great for a variety of Little Debbie Snack Cakes.
You forgot to call out the the little dimples on the bottom which allow nested stacking. While not Earth shattering, still a nice thoughtful feature.
So, looking at the box; Was wondering if you could put the heating pack from an F.R.H. in there with "a little water" and an entree pouch from an MRE. Do you think that could work?
You probably could, but I doubt t think you would get the total emersion of the food pouch in the hot water to fully heat the MRE.
Actual review doesn’t start until 3:00
wonder if it would be affective faraday protection
Faraday box. A ultra small tablet and memory bank. i wonder if a small solar panel would fit
Expensive, but it being stainless sort explains that.
2:50 seconds and he still hasn’t opened the thing 😂
I was about to say the same thing. He spent over half the video bullshitting
Good video thanks
So how is this different from a butter cookie tin?
Have never seen such awesomely brilliantly cool stuff deep respect and more thank you
🎉🎉🎉love from Australia.Clay
So it’s a stainless steel bento box without the seal?
Pretty much. You can put anything you want in it, just no liquids.
I looked up Bento box. I like it better.
Can a Stanley box be used as a faraday cage ???
Love the box! I have never seen them before!
It would be like having a large Altoids tin use it for quite a few things
A silicone seal would have been great.
But then you couldn't cook, could you? It'd have to be hi-temp silicone, maybe...
The box would make an excellent EDC kit box for a water filter, fire starter and small shelter/ thermal blanket type
So would any other container.
I wanna know about your other bag you have on that bench
That’s the Raging River Trading Haversack.
can you cook with it? box as a pot and lid as a pan in a shtf situation. or in a get home bag...
You should be able too (I have not tested that yet) the clips has rubber rollers on them to secure to the lid. That can easily be removed for cooking and put back on afterward.
When you're tired of all the plastic stuff.
I mean...really any lid, that's removable from a box like that, can be considered a "tray". That's a weird feature to promote lol
Does it fit in the new square pan?
Unfortunately no…..well it will sit in the pan, but the pan lid will not go on top properly.
I own the box. My one complaint is that it doesn’t fit flat in my Classic 10qt Stanley lunch box.
Great point. It would be awesome if it did or if Stanley made a smaller on designed to fit the lunch box.
Does it keep bread fresh?
Can you cook with it?
What are you doing with all that gear? I live, hunt and fish in a super remote part of the planet......18 hour drive through the tundra to the nearest small city......I don't know a single person who has that much gear! Sure hope your putting it to good use.
Will it fit in the metal Stanley lunchbox?
No it will not unfortunately.
I'll wait for the walmart/amazon clones
For that price I thought this was a big box - that you could put real stuff in !
Hey gals do you enjoy learning about this stuff?
Link to your pack ??
It is the V2 version of the CCW Haversack from Raging River Trading.
www.ragingrivertrading.com/listing/800075941/raging-river-trading-ccw-custom
Just learned this recently; the 8 in 18-8 stainless steel represents the amount of nickel, which is toxic.
So, where's it made?
China same as everything else
I forgot.... Where did you get the haversack?
The haversack is from Raging River Trading.
@@BarnYardOutdoors Thank You!
Too bad it doesn’t in the Stanley traditional lunch bucket. I put my two sandwiches in mine for work.
Would be cool if you try to cook with it 👍
Stanley lost me on that one when you showed it not having a gasket on the lid or fhe box
Biggest issue is its not waterproof. Such metal boxes usually have a gasket running through close to the edge. Such a disappointment.
The box is not waterproof so don’t try storing anything liquid especially syrup because if the syrup leaks it could get messy quickly.❤😊
Wtf its high. Stanley must be smoking the good shit.
I love Stanley products. I'm not sure I like the box though. Seems short on features and long on price.
You said hammertone green..SOLD. all of my Stanley is hammertone green
It’s an uninsulated, unsealed tin box…and it’s $35. Not sure what the point is.
looks like a rolling tray to me
5.54 min of wasted time.
? You can use anything for this. I have a 10yr old Tupperware with latches. $3 dollar store works great. Has a removable gasket. But not a Barbie "kit" accessory like this.
But my generic Tupperware cost like 2 bucks and goes in the microwave. 🤔
food-grade SS and not effing plastic: A good idea.
Danish cookies tin - $1.25 at dollar tree.
It's funny that nobodys asked if they could boil water in it yet. Any time someone posts a video about a stainless steel lunchbox, some bushcrafter wants to cook in it... just buy a pot...
$$35 Really? For a plain steel box? Right.
Priced out of the market, both box and cookies for me. Patches, I don't understand the fasination
35 bucks for that? Seems a little not needed
😉
I don’t a use for these items. 1. To heavy 2. Overpriced 3. To bulky
Yes it does cost over $30 for what looks and feels like the aluminum bud light bottle version of a take-out throw away container, but it does come with free lead poisoning.
35 $ your kidding
Would be a great Geocache box, but alas, not @35$.
A solution looking for a problem to solve.
$35 lunchbox with no carry handle
I bet the yeti costs $199
Are people insane? A tin box $35 and people are buying this?!?!? 🤣😂
That's a tin can foe 35 usd😅
Nicely manicured public park.

$35
It’s pretty pricey.
Yikes! For about that price you can get a stainless steel bento box that has a removable silicone seal to prevent leaks and smells.
LOL!!! Seriously?!?
