Thought the start was rather poor. You need to be at committee boat end playing with the big boys. Being at pin end in fleet racing even if you have a better start once you tack over you end up having to dodge all the boats coming across on starboard so end up losing what ever you gained. Looks like you are not pointing high enough - main could be tighter and skipper needs to get closer to the rail ( weight further out ). I would also sit forward of the traveler - use tiller extension. Once you are higher on the rail you will be able to see the waves coming relative to the bow and be able to steer through them rather than crashing into them gaining losing speed. -- just saying
