I applaud Revell for these 32nd scale kits, good size, easy enough to build, mostly affordable (prices have started to go up though) and accurate enough out of the box that you will never confuse it for anything else.
I have this kit in my stack and it’s a great kit for the price..I have got a few after market items for it..The panel lines are light but ok..But the downer for me is the riveting, there isn’t really much for a FW-190..They we’re smothered in rivets..Good news is I don’t mind marking out and riveting.Plus I’m fun at parties.!😎When the rivets are added it should push the kit right on..Another big plus for me is the stand.Want my Fw-190 flying and got a really lovely 1/32 after market pilot seated..I think for what this kit is,it gives a lot.. Thank you Peter for a great review of this kit..Always so informative, entertaining and sharply dressed..🇬🇧👍
Totaly agree with you on the Boarder Lanc, silly money and I bet they do a second release, limited numbers means drumming up sales. Nice review 👍🏻. Must be an older kit as the instructions has some history. They dropped history in 2015 because it was to hard for their researchers!! Makes you wonder how accurate their kits are if they cannot be bothered to google some history for the instructions intro!
14:50 They weren't in a "Jagdgeschwader". SG stood for "Schlachtgeschwader", which is what the Germans called their ground attack squadrons. Hence the unusual nickname ("Schlachter") given to the kit (which I don't think was actually used during the war). The St part means this aircraft was issued to the HQ section.
I do love your reviews Peter!! Well done. By any chance are you planning to do more "classic" kit reviews or comparisons like matchbox or even FROG vintage kits?
Great reviews.Your comments and opinions are great to read. The new lanc price seems crazy. Started saving up based on your comments a week or so ago, I can probably still afford it, but realistically it can't be worth it. I am going to look at the HK kit, despite reservations after all Nigel's articles. Please keepup your output, I am really enjoying everything you post
Thanks for the review. I made the Revell Focker Wulf 190D a few years ago and was impressed, and as you say, they are very good value for money, with sufficient detail to do the job (depending on how well you finish it). Still not keen on the 1/32nd scale though, it's 1/48 for me with WW2 fighters - plenty big and detailed enough.
It was the weekly magazine "build the milenium falcon" from about 5 years ago with 100 issues in the series so that's the best part of 2 years to get all the parts at 11.95 euro per issue here in Ireland.. Still haven't built it as I don't have space for it.. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The problem with this kit is how much extra you need to spend on aftermarket stuff. Starting of course with historically accurate national markings which they dont provide.
I know just what you mean by lack of colour call outs, would save endless searches on Google. 1/32 nice size but. Why not 1/35, just think of diarama possibilities with all the figures and vehicle out there

Great review Peter been looking for a 190 to add to my stash think this is the one. Cheers.
Thanks! But maybe you should first see the new Zoukei Mura FW190 A4 in 1/32...coming soon!👍🏻

Oh yes...I remember it! Ouch!😖
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab yep. It's the first magazine collection I actually completed.
@@Kickback-dm7zt I bet that is unusual. Hats off to you! 👍🏻👏🏻

Great review Peter, my wallet has just taken a bashing..😆
I paid about 1,100.00 euro for a fiberglass and metal kit of the milenium falcon that is held together by screws. .. I must be mad.
Think it's Sway bar ? Great review. Those Revell boxes though 🙄.
'Sway Brace'.
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab my bad, I was thinking of sway bar as in RC cars 👍
£700 may not be an obscene price for a 1/32 Lanc, but it is an un-sellable price.
Does this guy ever remove those gloves?
Disappointing no rivets is there another manufacturer who makes this plane with better detail?
Zoukei Mura have a new FW190 coming out! 👍🏻
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab any knowledge how the hasegawa kit compares?
@@wasrio1403 No, Sorry, have not had that one.
