New subscriber here. All my reels are spooled with braid. My finesse/spinning rod has 15lb, froggin rod has 65lb and rest of baitcasters have 30lb. If I’m fishing topwater baits I tie directly to braid, everything else I use a 12lb fluoro leader (I’m too scared to use less 😄) connected with a uni to uni knot. Now if you don’t like tying knots, you may like some of these clips I just started using, Harmony Fishing Stealth Clip off of Amazon. I decided to try them, simply to reduce replacing leaders as much. I really like them so far, but definitely would not use on a spinner bait 😉.
Welcome and thank you for the sub! I have 30lb braid on my spinning rod and 40 on everything else. Previously, everything was straight mono. I hate tying knots so that's the main reason I use straight braid. The switch (in my mind) is better hooksets from a lightweight platform. I used clips when I was a kid and still have a few laying around with one on my crankbait rod. I've considered using them more (except on spinnerbaits).
Good one bud
Thank you!!
Spinnerbaits come in so many different sizes, and blade configurations that they can be a very good bait year round!
That’s why I always have one tied on! Thanks for watching
Nice
Congratulations on retirement
Thank you!

Throwing on flourocarbin!
I might change back to mono with the new kayak
Throwing spinner bait on braid 😮
There's a reason you won't let me teach fishing set-ups 🤣
