  • A Network Rail platform pass gave me access to the country end of platform 4 in the EMR section of the station to capture these clips.
The station is a difficult location with lots of OHLE masts and security fences between the Eurostar platforms and the rest of the station plus emergency exit structures at the platform ends.
The lines also curve away sharply so there are no lingering views of trains disappearing into the distance.
Hopefully I have made a reasonable fist of recording the comings and goings of a routine Monday mid-afternoon.

Super video as always. I agree that's one very cluttered station. I spent some time at Ramsgate recently watching the javelins. Well done Mr Boogie and stay safe 🤓💙🚂

Good to point out that the 180's will remain with EMR beyond the full fleet of 810's

Rejoice if you get an old Eurostar they are so much more comfortable.

A few units were refurbished and retained. They were out of service during the Covid timetable but are now back in use on some Paris runs.

I just asked to sign in at the EMR ticket office and they gave me directions to the Network Rail reception desk who were happy to oblige.

Have you been on the East Midlands Railway Class 360/1 Desiro which have been cascaded from Greater Anglia. And are mainly used on St. Pancras-Corby service. Which I think they do look really nice in the EMR Connect livery.

Wellingborough was wired prior to Kettering! Apologies if I misunderstood your point.

No, you didn't misunderstand. My geography has let me down. I always get Wellingborough and Market Harborough mixed up.

Hi. They are a bit beyond my normal range. I use my London Freedom Pass for most of my outings with only the occasional journey beyond that. I do try to get some shots when we are on holiday, like our trip to Devon last October.

UA-cam isn't free, it is paid for by advertising. My share of the revenue buys a Cornish Pasty for lunch when I am out filming. I have to fund my own coffee and any travel costs if I go beyond the Freedom Pass boundary.

The choice of EMR livery colour reminds me just how much I dislike Ribena...
