Thomas: that must have been quite an experience !! That is all the footage I have - it is taken from Super-8 footage and since it was quite an expensive format to use the amount of filming was kept to a minimum.
@@lessismore8044 Thanks for the fantastic pictures that catapulted me back to my childhood. The flight has remained unforgettable for me - at that time I was still allowed into the cockpit and was at the seat of the "flight engineer" for 5 minutes. A really great experience.
Sadly no. It was filmed on Super-8 which perhaps had an audio track (for subsequent over-dubbing) but the film camera did not record audio. It would have been quite a sound !!
I was a passenger that day. I was 13 and more than impressed by this fantastic aircraft. Is there more footage of this?
