Hey Darlin, I enjoy your videos. I’d love to tie your hands behind your back and get you to answer questions as fast as they come to mind. It’d be hilarious for you and whoever is throwing you the quick questions. I didn’t realize that I talked with my hands as much as I did until we had that little game of me answering questions as fast as I could and then when I was done with the questions, I had to tell a story about something that happened to me or I saw happen that will always be in my memory. We had a blast!

Renting out cake towers are a good idea too! Just make sure to create a rental sheet that states if they break they buy!

New sub! You have saved me !! I’ve been a little discouraged with my business I just moved to a new area and it’s been very hard trying to build up clientele especially with the pandemic . Thank you for sharing this information a lot of people are very secretive and don’t want to help and you have giving me a second wind. The only question I have for you if you’re willing to answer is prices, I found it a little difficult to find the right prices for things given the state of the nation and me trying to find the right balance I don’t wanna overprice and I don’t want to sell myself short. As I said I am a new subscriber so I’m still going through your videos LOL but I’m curious if you have one regarding that?

I’m so glad this video helped you! I don’t have a pricing video yet but I will be working on one soon! What I can tell you is that you can price whatever you like. It will take some time and practice to get comfortable with charging your worth. I still get unsure at times. But start with figuring out cost of goods and then determine how much you want to pay yourself according to your skill level. And always remember to take into consideration your customers and do your best to work with them to find a suitable option for their budget. Keep going and learning. You got it!!

Hey! I don’t remember how much I was selling them for but you can calculate out your numbers and decide from there. It depends on flavors, toppings, and sizes!

Thank you so much for this video. I'm currently a home baker and I want to continue to grow my business. Right now I have been just attending different vendor events selling my baked goods. What are some tips you can give on how to price your baked goods and what kind of audience you want to attract. I'm trusting the process because right now I'm only doing this part-time but I am ready to take this baking thing to the next level. It's so many ideas I have n etc but also need a little guidance as well😫😂.
Jazmine Henry pricing is always a huge question when starting out and there are formulas you can use to figure out a base price, but in honesty you choose what you want to charge. There’s so much to say on this lol I don’t think I have enough room. But basically, figure out how much it costs for you to make the product, how long it takes and how much you want to pay yourself. You also might want to factor in utility expenses (I don’t) and business profit depending on what you’re trying to do.

Hi there! I get my land from Walmart, but would definitely use amazon to get more in bulk. Yes, each state is different so you have to look up cottage food laws for your particular state to see what the requirements are.

Doing the kits will remove the time it takes it to decorate and you can freeze and prepare everything ahead of time and just assemble the boxes when you get orders. Also get your teens to help you!! It can be their first job lol if they don’t already have one.

I am not good at taking the pics for my products at all. They come out so dark and like you said first impressions are big!
