i thank you for the information. i have 1 question. you display a 20 watt laser.. is that output or 20 with actual 10 watt output?? i ask cause im using a laser tree 43 watt outpud diode so my numbers are way less
Thanks a bunch for this video. This is very helpful. One question: When you say Line Distance, what is that a measure of? I'm guessing it's the spacing between lines in mm? xTools uses Lines/CM, so I just want to be sure I do the conversion right. If so, that would be approximately 150L/CM on the solids and 100 L/CM on the foils, which makes sense.
You also have a UV laser. Which one would produce a better result in terms of both engraving quality and cutting? Would the 5 watt UV laser produce better cutting result than the LM 20 with less charing/scorching around the border and better engraving than the Lasermatic 20 due to the UV smaller dot size?
yes, it can! The iron will be on the cotten/linen setting and surface of the iron will be placed on the backside of the adhesive. The motion you will use will be very similar to ironing a shirt until the adhesive is adhered. Use a ironing board or old towel to soak up any moisture
Dude, you saved my life! I was running far to hot and not getting any results!
You're welcome sir!
Great looking patches.
Glad you like them!!!

for the lasermatic, its actual optical output

Yes, correct. spacing between the lines. thank you for watching!

i think we have another episode coming! thank you for the great question. i will start UV testing very soon!
Can you please do these leatherette and the Lonestar leatherette with the UV laser? Thank you.
yes! i will have some lonestar leatherette soon! thank you for the comment!!!
Do you cut the leatherette at the same focal distance as your emgrave, or do you stop and refocus?
same distance. thank you for watching!
*GREENS* 🤪
spinach!
Just placed my order, what settings do you recommend for a 10W diode?
I'll double check after I return from the Isa show
I have a 10 w also would love the settings
If we don’t have a press can this be done with an iron?
yes, it can! The iron will be on the cotten/linen setting and surface of the iron will be placed on the backside of the adhesive. The motion you will use will be very similar to ironing a shirt until the adhesive is adhered. Use a ironing board or old towel to soak up any moisture
What is the temp of the press to bond the adhesive?
220 for 14s
I am getting a xtool m1 what settings would I use
i am not familiar with the xtools. i dont have one yet. aorry.
What press are you using?
old generic single platen press I have no idea what it is
