A NICE MEET UP WITH MY MATE DEREK IN THE BORDERS. ABOUT A 2 MILE HIKE TO COLDSMOUTH WHICH WAS BACK OVER IN ENGLAND A PERFECT EVENING FOR WEATHER. NO WIND BUT CHILLY. TALKING A BIT OF RUBBISH, BUT A GOOD NIGHT WAS HAD.

Hi andy quick question was camping at the weekend there had rab 1100 ascent woke up with the bag slightly damp is there anything you can do to stop this was thinking bivy any advice be much appreciated also just purchased osprey kestrel 68 litre back pack so all set for solo camps 🏕 👍
no a bivvy would make it more damp with conden
Yeah it’s hard. It’s the condensation around. You can’t avoid it if the temperature drops overnight. A bivvi will make it worse. The thing with the ascent 1100 is it’s hydrophobic down. So it’ll keep you warm. What I do is throw it in the tumble dryer when I get back. 20 mins on the cool cycle. Good as new hope that helps enjoy your camp. Don’t worry about condensation 😂
