“Used” is a poor choice of words. That implies that she was only friends with her for that reason. That doesn’t make sense, because she didn’t know she would need a kidney when they became friends, nor did she know that she would be a match. It’s terrible that they aren’t friends anymore, but we have no idea how or why their friendship fell out.

I’m struggling with mental health issues but it’s a build up through out my life it didn’t happen overnight.
Why would anyone want to have Selena's life ??? She has mental health issues like bi polar. She has gone through public alcohol abuse and drug addiction and even smoking cigarettes. She was filmed making out with her good friend, Katy's boyfriend Orlando who was a great deal older than her. She struggles with her weight and having lupus. She has fall out after fall out with her friends and even gaslights Raquelle in her documentary. Her most public relationship was unhealthy yet praised, she was filmed punching him in public and flipping him off in fights and then he replaced her in a heartbeat with a model..which made Selena insecure because she is shorter, rounder, paler and older than Hailey. Selena still interacts with hate channels and is clearly on tiktok too much..she has expressed dislike and disinterest in staying in her music career because although she has a huge following, her music streams and album sales don't really match up to it..she is followed for the drama so she keeps stirring it up. Clearly she is unhappy and miserable, single at 31 when she thought she'd be married by 25 and a mom by now..why would anyone want her life ???

What’s unfortunate is that Selena has not learned anything in how she treats others despite having some moments of growth and realization in her doc about her mindset and choices. At what age does the sardonic “clap backs” become more disrespectful and harsh than a flex? Selena is a grown woman and she absolutely is in control of what decisions she makes. I wish Francia well and hope she’s able to move on and process this entire thing because I can’t imagine how painful this has been since the beginning and now.

i saw the documentary and have to say that selena seems to have and attitude sometime and i don’t think that people ever call her out on it. even with her friend raquelle she acted very defensive and put words in her mouth and raquelle didn’t really react to that. with the foreigh reporter it was the same. english was obviously not her first language. i didn’t understand her attitude, the reporter wasn’t being rude. i think her fans need to stop to put her on a pedestal, she can be petty and rude just like everybody else and this comment about francia was very telling

God bless Francia. That hospital broke the law and I wish she had sued. And I wish her family had stepped in and told Selena no because Francia was put in a position where she couldn’t say no. Her family should’ve told Selena no for her. The other thing is Selena claims she didn’t ask anyone but she did, she asked everyone of her hired friends to take a blood test to see if they were a match. To be drinking and drugging on a transplanted kidney is the ultimate betrayal. I wish she would’ve been left to go thru dialysis for a while until she realized how precious a donated organ is. After the donation, thankfully he's safe and sound he managed to find me and my address. He invited me to his home and to my goodness he's some what rich so he offered some gifts which I've rejected. Wow, as someone who is under investigation for lupus and suffers from flareups, I can tell you that my doctors have been so particular about lifestyle. You have to be super careful with alcohol and even medication and food because flareups can impact your organs (hence Selena’s kidney transplant). I’m only under investigation for it, since a lot of my symptoms are related to lupus, so I can’t imagine how serious the advice must be for someone with a full diagnosis AND an organ transplant.
It seems pretty disrespectful to Francia to be living that kind of party girl lifestyle and not even checking that her friend is okay after she’s donated a literal organ to her?
I know chronic illness is difficult and sometimes you just want to live a “normal” life where you don’t have to be so cautious about everything you do, but this is definitely not the way to go imo.

If that's true they literally violated HIPAA, her privacy rights as a patient, by telling Selena first, in order to pressure Francia to say yes. The way she explains how it went makes it clear that someone or several people made profoundly ethical mistakes medically ( there there are very high ethical standards around not pressuring potential donor in any form) and in terms of patient privacy. If Francia wanted, she can sue them and win...but we all know the whole world would tear her down and the entire internet would Dogpile her for it .

The medical industry is horrible and if you try to sue then another doctor won’t ever want to touch you sadly. My mom had colon cancer stage 4 but was managing very well. Into year four she had to have a lung biopsy and her vein was nicked by the doctor!!! and had a heart attack and stroke at the same time. She actually hid it from me how serious it actually was. In the icu for 5 days only told this after she was on her death bed. I wasn’t living in town she didn’t want to worry me. But man she was so scared to sue bc she knew she needed doctors to keep her alive. Then three weeks before she died she was walking talking everything couldn’t keep food down but one day before they put her on hospice without trying a feeding tube. the doc was talking about oh yea we are about to start chemo again blah blah and gave us all hope. It’s pathetic we can’t make complaints but yet we can have our lives tampered with. I can only imagine how many people would still be alive if someone spoke up. But it’s so scary. Sad America is all about money instead of quality of life.

My mother is a respiratory therapist and she herself has a lot of knowledge from the doctors she works with about transplants
1. Organ shortage crisis - demand is exceeding supply
2. Kidney especially are in high demand and being on the list a lot of factors can come into play from proximity, medical history, money, and urgency. I’m pretty sure Selena being a celebrity was what got her on the list so fast versus urgency.
3. Most people who have been known to drink a lot or do drugs or even have it in their history regardless of sobriety from rehab are towards the bottom as doctors don’t wanna risk giving a kidney to someone who would drink or drug it away. So yay for you Selena.
When you get a donated kidney doctors will tell you abstain from drugs and alcohol. You have to take care of the organ your body will know it’s not yours. By continuing to not just take one drink or two every once in a while but getting drunk shows that she doesn’t care about this kidney that Francia gave and suffered to give her

I don't think francia is looking for acknowledgement or anything, the fact she commented on a statement that selena made that taylor is her only friend in the industry even when francia met selena before taylor and was friends for longer time and actually gave a kidney. that statement really hurt her clearly francia valued the friendship more than selena and selenas rude behavior is very telling of her personality. This is not something that she shows on camera but for someone to react so sarcastically to their donor is quite mean even if they aren't friends anymore

I mean there’s no way to hide addiction issues from a dr they either ran a toxicology report and if she’s a hard user as you say damage would show up on her heart , liver ,brain and kidneys. So maybe francia was pressured she saw it as a oh Selena WILL die if I don’t give her my kidney. So of course if she found out Selena hasn’t gotten sober she’d be rightfully pissed. I know technically once you donate an organ you have to accept it’s no longer yours. But anyone would be broken to find that out.
