CCET 3512: Ex NS 3512/HLCX 7010/BNSF 7010/BN 7010. Built in 1977. Used for stone trains. SD-40-2. The two GATX blue boxcars without any graffiti are rare sights. lol!

Keep up the good work!
Great video today! The SD40-2 looks awesome. Chessie is the best railfan dog ever! Thanks again JawTooth. Always enjoy your work. Pet Norfie and the rest of the gang back at home for us.
Glad to see CCET putting money into the infrastructure and equipment. Good job JT ! Give us more of that track info especially who made the track ! Stay Safe !
That is one handsome power consist. About the only way it could be improved would be to install a Gyralight in place of that upper headlight blank. Need to team up with Mortske Repair and have Chessie and Duff do a doggo podcast together. 🙂
I do appreciate all your work, showing the shortline and big RR's. I would like to see more of old rusty rail and then get a picture after some train traffic has worked on it to see how much of the rust gets scrubbed off.
Yeah, the two GP15s could have handled those trains easily on their own. Probably they brought the SD40 along because they're still checking it works OK.
Good footage to from huhtamaki rock , boxcar trains moving on the line they're cleaning out storage catch up at a good time I got hands up for canadian eastern rail team is that good filling spot for rail workers , A to B
I've said it before, but Congrats to CCET for picking up those "new to them" locomotives. They look like a professional outfit now instead of a 2nd rate shipping company. Looking good CCET.
Hey Brian, I noticed a second track not protected by the crossing gates at Eastwood Rd in Mt. Orab. Looks like they removed the rails from the crossing also. If you ever get the chance to show some of the abandoned trackage on the Peavine Line, that would be cool; like you showed some old rails that were abandoned at that business in Mt. Orab a few videos back. Thanks for all you do!
Awesome video. The best part was the Pooch -- he reminds me of Krypto who was Superman's dog in the old comic books. He is so alert in the video so it is evident that he enjoys railfanning.
Hi Jaw Tooth!! Getting caught up on your videos. That’s an awesome train. Wry cool new locomotive! Have a great day!! Will be watching Part 2 soon as I get done writing this!!
You regularly show rusty rails as proof nothing has been that way, but I notice a lot of the ties (we in the UK call them sleepers) are pretty rotten, too! - - - Three engines for six trucks, that's a lot of traction! - - -
I suspect the SD40-2 was only there because they're testing it works OK. The two GP15-1s could have handled those two trains on their own with no trouble.
Love that new locomotive with the wide deck on front and back. They such put tables and chairs on them and let rail fans ride free with coffee and donuts.
Thanks for those snippets of short line switching. That SD40-2 is a sweet machine in those colors and nice horn. Maybe you should carry some WD40 for those squeaky railcar wheels😀😀
Great video as usual. I like the sound of lead-off engine# 3512 vs the others (heard them in the other videos). Keep up the great finds as only YOU continue to do!!
Loved the part when you compared chessie nose with the locomotive👍🏻 all it’s own. Like I always said chessies the star of the show besides the trains of course 👍🏻😎🚂🐕
I liked the switching moves at Huhtamaki and Mount Carmel Group. I had to do a Google search to find out what Huhtamaki North America was. I found out that it is a food packaging company. I gather that means that Huhtamaki make food packing that is used to package food products produced by another company. What did CCET do with the boxcars? In the last scenes, the engines are pulling open to hopper cars and gondolas. I presume these cars are going to the quarry for loads of stone. Thank you for uploading this video for us to watch. I look forward to seeing Part 2!
Those cars on the last train are all gondolas. The distinction is that gondolas are emptied from the top, whereas hoppers are unloaded through gates in the floor.
Just the look is like Chessie is humming. Oh where oh where did that SD40 go. Oh where oh where can the CC&E be? If this had been a former UP long nose SD40 you would have had an actual "snoot nose" picture. Nice to see the SD40 out on the road. Alas this may very well spell the end for the GEs. Thanks for keeping us up to date on CC&E as it matures
That first train had the screelie wheelies! Nice factory fresh power and little Chessie! That train rumbling by can't be good for that dilapidated building. Have a great weekend Jawtooth!!
I noticed a posting in the Columbus Dogpatch that Cincinnati Eastern Railroad was looking for their check. Apparently they feel you’ve been taking so many videos of their locos the paint is beginning to fade to maroon. Tesla proposed that taking many pictures of the same object would begin to suck the light out it. So CER is looking for some paint money for all hours of paint-sucking you’ve been profiting on. One of the engineers was a black man, and he had to change spurs because his wife threatened to leave him if he came home any lighter!
WB5CGD here. Great videos Brian! Across the Big Sandy River from Kenova WV is Catlettsburg KY. Lots of rail fan opportunities and interesting old houses there. Steve
Jaw Tooth Have you thought of bringing Norfie too.. I had a cat that looked just like Norfie that like riding in my truck with me. You can get a collar and leash incase you need to let her out.

the SD40-2 looks a CN on here
I saw 3512 on NS 123 going to Cincinnati
Noticed that as well. Those blue ones were NICE!! :D

👍👍👍👌👌👌 AMEN to that Vernor's Ginger Ale! The WORLD'S BEST ginger ale! The ONLY thing wrong with it is you can't get it in glass bottles any more 😭
Love that classic EMD sound. Great video 👌
Nice one, JT! Love that Hutamaki action
Nice to see 3512 working. Great video. Lucky day for Norfie when she came wandering in to the JT household. Really a member of the family now.
Greaaat report! And your raílfan companion, Chessie! 😀👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you very much Mr. Jaw Tooth!
Nice to see the EMD SD40-2 sporting new paint. Nice catch.
Thanks!
Great catch JT and to see the new addition to the fleet! They really sound STOUT rolling by! Thanks for sharing this video JT as you never disappoint!

LOVE THE DOG'S-EYE VIEW!!
Those Bearcat colors look nice on the locos!

The most unique train videos I have seen he is filled with energy when he talks
Nice switching, shine up those rails with hard working steel wheels !!
Nice 6-axle 3512... sounds awesome too !!
Another great video !! 👍 👍
EXCELLENT COLORS ON THOSE ENGINES GOOD JOB JT YOUR THE TOPS

That horn vaguely reminds me of the way Seaboard Coastline once rolled. I miss that fallen flag.

I sure hope the SD gets the same scheme as the GPs.

That’s great. Watching from Clackamas, Oregon. 😎
JT, I appreciate the before and after look on those rails too. Thanks for doing that.
Seems like a lot of power to haul a few cars..Thanks JT.
They're probably still checking that the SD40-2 works OK -- the GP15-1s wouldn't have any trouble with those trains.
A nice video from Mt. Orab. Thanks for the pets, especially Co-captain Chessie. See you on the next.
Some beauty looking locomotives in this.
3512 is an interesting 6 axle loco - and matching our favorite ones 1657 and 1686. Thanks for filming these. A bit too much power for a few wagons!
Yeah, the two GP15s could have handled those trains easily on their own. Probably they brought the SD40 along because they're still checking it works OK.
Missed a golden opportunity before the slideshow to say, “But wait, there’s more tomorrow!”
Always good to get some color commentary from Chessie on how does the train smell.
Lol
And there is nothing quite like the smell of diesel exhaust from a train locomotive, that to me is like a lady wearing Chanel number five! :-)
Nice! Give'r the zip stripe and the cet logo and she'll be ready ta roll! Great sounding horn!!👍👍

Awesome the had all three locomotives at work.
