Beautifully played great musician
Only came across this piece of music recently - though I love Piazzolla, so I wasn't suprised by how good it is. This is the best online performance I've found. Really musical and technically secure. Love it!
Bravo, l'interprétation est fantastique
Merci
I'm so admire the flute player, who performed quite different meaningful tone and colourful thinking. I'm the flute player too. As master student, really enjoy both of you performance, thanks you share great music with me!
my thought was the same... even if im a guitarist :) the flute was very enjoyable, both colorful and the articulation very interesting too. Nice.
Alberto is the master of this kind of music. Actually, he is mastering whatever he likes.
Amazing performance, I'm flabbergasted with such good tunes and sound, Piazzolla is immortal

Es necesario más volumen de la guitarra para que queden equipados y sean un dúo y no solista con acompañamiento
Does someone knows where can I find the score for free?
I am a flutist myself, and I remember when Astor Piazzolla back in the 1990's started to become an interesting novelty among flutists and conservatory flute students in Denmark. Performing "Histoire du Tango" sort of became the lastest fashion - almost overnight. Just like in the strange world of Haute Couture, where outrageous designs in clothing for no apparent or logical reason can also suddenly become the highest fashion. ;-)
Personally, I have never embraced this composition - or his Tango Etudes, for that matter. Piazzolla's preferred choice of chord progression (with a descending chromatic bass line) in "Bordello 1900" and "Nightclub 1960" always sounds highly predictable to me, because it's being used again and again in many of his other compositions. He has a tendency of repeating himself musically, by re-using the same few tricks.
But your superb performance and interpretation was such a delight listening to. And it makes me almost want to play "Historie du Tango" on the flute myself. Almost. ;-) Good job!
