- In today's episode, I take you with me to Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. We explore Granville Island, a tourist spot in the middle of the city that exemplifies this city's creativity and commitment to fiber arts. I'll also show you how I'm doing with my current knitting and spinning projects as well as introduce a new segment to the show, Book Corner.

Lovely seeing Vancouver & all the beautiful yarn you bought. Thank you 🏴
So glad you enjoyed the video, Christine!
It's awesome to see Vancouver from your point of view! I've lived here my whole life and I knew there was Silk Sanjo on Granville Island (I actually work a 10 min walk from there) but I didn't know there was even MORE yarn to see! So thank you for introducing me to those shops. I hope you can come back one day and experience and see more of the city :D
Thanks so much for your note! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. I really do hope to come back to Vancouver. I get the feeling that I just scratched the surface of the place and it’s such a wonderful city!
I enjoyed this episode. I spent a day in Vancouver about 3 years ago. We enjoyed Stanley Park. I had to to forgo the fiber shops because of time limitations as well. I am curious. I may have missed this information in earlier episodes. You are traveling to great places, frequently, and for lengthy times. Do you work in an industry that allows this travel? If you are comfortable sharing the answer, I am curious!
Hi Kathleen! I’m glad you enjoyed the episode. That’s a fair question. I haven’t explained this before. A few years ago, my husband and I decided to structure our lives to prioritize travel. It helps that we don’t have children. The pandemic put our plans on skids for awhile, but now we’re getting back to it.
@@YarnJourneys that is fantastic. We don’t have children, but we have cats, which changes the situation. We have cat sitters, at $55.00/day, and I don’t think it is right to leave them more than about 1 week to 10 days. I am so glad you have found a way to incorporate travel into your life, particularly while you are young and healthy!!! Thank you for sharing your travels with us!
