Today I'll seal up the T-Match box and get this antenna ready to put on the tower. I'll also talk
about my experience with MFJ over the quality issues I've had with this antenna. Thank you to all my subscribers, I do appreciate you stop by my channel.

...kinda thought this video would head the way it did....the newer mfj made antennas are really much less quality than the original cushcraft made units. I have found that I favor about any older/vintage antenna over most, not all, of the new ones, simply because of the quality of the build. If you know antennas, there are always older ones out there that can be fixed up, or refurbished a bit, and most times are superior to most of the new ones. I have a few that fit that description. Thanks for keeping us all up on the progress. Still looking forward to a day that we can play radio and do some simplex testing locally once you get things rockin! 73, WD9M
I guess I was hoping for a good quality antenna for that price. I think I'm going to make a UHF version at some point.
I had a 26B2 Cushcraft from 10yrs back. Fantastic antenna.
No problems and never insulated the unun box. Probably should have. How is your 13b2 holding up?
I will probably go witn M2 9 element (1 vert, 1 horizontal) if I decide to upgrade my current antenna on 2 meter.

So far I haven't had an issues with it. You probably got your antenna before MFJ started making them. I've look at the M2 antennas as well. Thank you for the comment. 73 de N9JOD
