- Ellen DeGeneres remembers Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss. In the comedian’s first video message since Boss' death, she tells fans on social media how she wants to honor his memory around the holidays. The ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ alum joined ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ in 2014 as the in-house DJ. Boss was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Dec. 13.

Eventhough I didn't personally know him, his death is devastating. For years my family and I looked forward to watching Stephen and Ellen for the love and joy they shared with us. May he rest in eternal peace. May God be with Ellen and Twitch's family during this difficult time❤
She is grieving the loss of a dear friend. There is nothing you can do ,but sit in it Just so painful.

Yes twitch did always look happy but off screen and behind closed doors we don't know what goes on or what happens or how twitch was feeling and what he was going through you know .twitch loved to dance that was who he was to me I thought twitch was happy but obviously he had other stuff going on that he couldn't cope with I honestly never thought he would be the next person to pass away I was shocked and the way he died was even more shocking

Breaks my heart to see her in some much pain 😢 she truly loved him and his family. It’s so hard enough to lose someone but to see how others are breaking her down and the wife is heartbreaking. Right, I wish people knew that it's ok to say no and to take time for themselves. It's ok to ask for help, and it's ok to seek therapy. There is not anything in the world that anyone is going through or went through that no one else hasn't went through. There are people out there for us to talk to. Life is a gift from God, He didn't promise it would be easy but he promised He would see us through. We can't give up. There is healing on the other side of despair.

It’s rare that a celebrity passing makes me emotional, but this one really got me. Yes I know that he was struggling inside now and just putting on a happy face for us, his fans, but I truly believe Twitch was a good man inside and out. Same. This one really got me too. Felt like I had lost a good friend and I had never even met him. The thing with someone like him that is such a light and leaves such an imprint with people, they are usually empaths and they absorb all the energy of others in the room. He was a light on a bigger scale and absorbed the energy of the world and I feel like he literally felt the weight of the world on his shoulders...eg: his last ig video. Our shoulders are only so heavy and can only bear so much... 🥺💔

Thanks for sharing this Ellen. You didn't have to, but we are all hurting over this. I Just had to keep checking for 3 days to make sure it was really true. That was the most shocking thing to me. I thought it was s joke. I was like what cruel, sick joke! But it wasn't. Each time I checked, it was no joke. It was the most awful truth!

I personally think those of us who smile and laugh the most are often those who carry the most trauma and hurt. That is how we developed into funny people it’s a big coping tool. I know I often try to make joke about the absolute worst moments in life because it’s just easier than to really dive deep into that pain. The sad comedian applies across the board, not just stand up comedy. I obviously don’t know but he strikes me also as a people pleaser (most performers are to a degree) and let me tell from the perspective of a hardcore people pleaser in recovery 😂(just learned how to say no at 39 years old smh) that is a very dangerous and unmanageable trait to carry all the time. 💔 God rest his sweet soul. And I pray his babies don’t grow out of his memory being as young as they are. Those poor sweet babies. Thank god that there’s endless videos and pictures of him for them to look back on one day. And his poor wife. It’s just all so sad and very hard to wrap your mind around. Being such a young person he had so much more he could of given and received in this life! Never ever suffer in silence go find a therapy program that works for you and remember it’s a long game that counts. Therapy has done wonders in my life and I just started in 2021. It’s like dating you need to find someone who your personality clicks with it’s ok to shop around for good fix with a therapist! ❤

For those of us old enough to remember, it brings back memories of Freddie Prinze back in the 70's. He was young, popular and seemed to have everything going for him. It just reminds us all that fame & fortune isn't the answer to everything.
