This is truly one of the most useful UA-cam videos I have come across in a long time. Thank you for the site recommendation, but thank you even more for the practicing tips!
The notation for two songs ‘Blame It On My Youth’ and ‘Deep Purple’ are written an octave lower than the Real Book printed versions. It’s not true in all cases but I did find it with others I picked out at random.
Thanks for posting this, Jared! I've been trying to bootstrap myself (after ~40 years of kitchenpicking cowboy chords) into a bigger guitar world, and had literally just 2 weeks ago hit upon the idea of working through a couple of books worth of jazz tunes at the shell-voicings level. This will be better ! (I'm also working through a couple of your courses, which is where my recent idea seems to have begun its development). All best to you!
Uh, some serious issues with the chord changes here to these tunes, a cursory check of some classic tunes shows some, uh, interesting chord changes for sure. Great they have link to the recording, but not a place I would go for the chord changes.
Fair enough, _maybe_, for advanced jazzers, but for people just getting into these tunes, the supplied changes are fine. As one advances, one can figure out the ‘real’ changes as needed. Fwiw, your post comes across as very elitist. I found it kinda creepy, to be honest. Many years ago, I had the great fortune to take some lessons from the late, great, Emily Remler, and, on the first lesson, instructed me to go get a copy of the real book. I was in nyc at the time (1986-ish), and you had to go to one of the guitar stores on 48th st and they’d keep copies behind the counter.
Whoa, I own all the Real Books, so I don't feel bad about using this terrific resource. Ability to transpose? Get outta here. Yes, iReal has that ability, but no lead sheets. This is better. Thank you!
I had a look at Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen on this site, and it didn't look right to me. The first chord is C major, that's fine, but the melody starts with C. it should be G. The melody line doesn't seem to fit into the chords.

Oh no "A CALL FOR ALL DEMONS " SUN RA is missing from the "A" section.. It used to be page 1 of the book after the index..

You're welcome!
Wow
I still wonder how the heck this is legal😮. Is this affiliated with actual Real Book publisher?
I doubt it since they don't link to any offical site of Hal Leonard or anything.
Wait no "Peaches and Regalia" but "smoke on the water" is in there .lolzzz serious lolzzz.
