Hey Kyle - thanks for the great video. I'm planning to do front main seal and being able to see everything wide open was very helpful.

Use a brass brush!!! That steel one is way to abrasive! :)

Did pulling the crank gear out that way do anything to the tread on the inside of the crankshaft? I was afraid to do that today.

Crank gear came off smooth and the crank bolt still treads in like butter no issues

I have a question I noticed you used gasket maker for the water pump hole , is that 100% necessary? Also I noticed whenever you used gasket maker you let it sit for an hour before you torqued , after watching your videos I’m a little nervous now bec I completely just re sealed my 1j but did not use gasket maker on the water pump and I even though I torqued everything to spec I didn’t wait any longer then 10 min to torque after gasket maker was applied , do you think I’ll be ok or do I need to start over

gasket maker is pretty forgiving, some mechanics use just a tad bit of grease on the o ring seals to hold them in place since that will get flushed out with the oil since its , engine assembly lube is pretty tacky also and holds things in place that will be having oil run through them.

Question. I have an Aristo 2jz GTE VVTI motor like yours. My water pump that on my engine looks nothing like yours. My rear housing has a water bypass pipe. Is there any way to convert it to a vertical rear housing like what’s on your motor?

You have the jdm version of the water pump instead of the USDM version. All you need to do is purchase the USDM 2jz gte water pump and you'll be good to go! It bolts right up.

Зачем красить мотор? Трата времни,один хрен краска отвалится
