I believe the VILARP is a Not A Drop To Drink thing; the gang get a new van from the VILARP with that wizard decal-ed on it. Edit: Of course the second note had the details
Honestly, the touchiness of some American southerners to being called a Yankee has always baffled me. "Oh pardon me for confusing you with the side that A: Won, and B: weren't a bunch of slavers"
It also shows misunderstanding of the fact that all Americans have been referred to as "Yankees" by those in other English-speaking countries for as long as the U.S. has existed, which hasn't really been helped by the fact that no one is sure where the term came from in the first place, and that Southerners using it to refer to Northerners is a heavily revisionist usage. As someone who grew up in the South of the 70s and 80s, it was already a term that was rarely used anymore to refer to people from the North.
Having worked in a post sorting office (for a college) For the love of god, no metronomes. Or if you *must*, take the batteries out of them first. Otherwise, your box *will* be made to go boom. Liquids were so much easier to deal with than the metronomes of a school with a good musical department...
Kinsip is absolutely my favourite maple syrup! They're based in Ontario but you can usually find the maple syrup at Indigo chapters in other provinces.
Random bit of trivia: Göteborg is the only city in Sweden that has a different name in English (Gothenburg) than in in Swedish. It is also my favourite Swedish placename to say.
I do NOT fault them for having issues pronouncing that one, particularly the ending confusion. That said; considering what it is, they did pretty good!
I have to give a big thanks for the constant full commitment to trying to pronounce things as well as you can; Excellent job Graham on the Göteborg pronunciation, it was on point! Thanks for these cozy vids guys ❤
Hi, longtime lurker here. I hope the stuff I sent you (incl. a bottle) will arrive safely. It's currently crossing the little pond called Atlantic Ocean 👀
Sigh, I hate to do this but... both John Sands and Carlton Cards are companies founded by citizens of their respective countries, that were both eventually bought out by American Greetings - Carlton in the '50s, and John Sands in the '90s; they both have the rose logo of THEIR parent company, American Greetings.
Oof! Honest name mistakes are always awkward. I used to work for a conglomerate which included 'Canadian Bridge Supplies'. As in the card game, Bridge. I once had to field a phone call where after the customary greetings the confused caller asked "do you mix the concrete onsite or offsite?" and it went downhill from there before I managed to explain to them that we didn't have any concrete or steel available. (Don't blame them too much, I'm conveniently skipping over my confusion before I realized why they were confused. My first few responses were basically "uh no." "what?" "we don't carry those")
Just a Historical FYI, the Term "Yanky/Yankey" actually refers to people from the northern half of the original 13 colonies that wrote ol' King George that famous/infamous "Dear John" letter. While most people in the US would shrug off being called a Yankey, people from "The South" do take it as a slight because of that little scrap back in the 1860's called "The Civil War". (Odd, I don't know of any war being civil.) Those fighting on the Union side of things (northern states) were called Yankies. So that's why calling anyone from the south a Yankey is an insult. Graham, I believe (and I might be wrong) that the comparison term for Canadians/Cannucks is to call people from the US (like me) "You Jerks".
There's typically prohibitions on sending human remains internationally, you'd need to find some similar service in Canada. (Do not send actual bones to the Moonbase.)
Generally speaking, it's not legal to mail alcohol in Canada or the US. Both countries have a whole list of regulations on who is allowed to ship alcohol and how they must do it... and that's just within the country itself. Trying to send it across the boarder is almost certainly not going to end well.
I'm sorry, Drs. LRR, but I cannot make other Welcome. Mostly because I suffer from hand/eye coordination and fine motor control issues. Arts and Crafts have been a life long nemesis of mine, and I don't think those two are ever going to let up. But I can cook and make sweets for others. Am I still Welcome?
Oh, the Star Wars RPG is actually fantastic. It's based on something called the "narrative dice system" - they've got good and bad symbols of varying degrees, and you actually can fail successfully or succeed poorly with them. Very good system, evolved into the intentionally generic Genesys.
I played that once! My character's Force powers tended very satisfyingly narratively Dark Side, manifesting frequently in times of extreme stress and fear, and in very unbalanced ways. It was a lot of fun.
I don't keep track of the AFK streams closely, but I'm curious if they've actually played any of those Arkham Horror games? I don't think I've seen a mail time in a while that didn't feature them.
There are 4 Christmas Islands Kiritimati (pronounced Christmas) which is part of Kiribati (pronounced Kiribas) and was named Christmas Island by the British, who did nuclear testing there, and later renamed to the same thing but in the native Gilbertese language Christmas Island, Nova Scotia which is a tiny community with a post office on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada Christmas Island, Tasmania which is a chunk of granite near Tasmania populated entirely by seabirds, lizards, snakes, and "A species of mouse" And Territory of Christmas Island which is the one you already know
Mail time is content I enjoy, youtube algorithm
I'm replying to affirm to the UA-cam algorithm that yes, I also enjoy Mail Time.
All hail the mighty UA-cam Algorithm!
I, too, leave comments on videos I enjoy! Like this one! :D
I agree and I’m typing about it.
Live love land rights is just amazing. I’m so so so happy to see that.
I'm the designer 😊, miigwetch!

Yeah, that's what it's from. So the gang of vampires are running around in a LARP van.

DOH, I *do* know it's Vancouver Island. I just had a brain fart I think.
Also you're welcome for the papyrus font, it was 100% intentional.
"Lord Desmondonio von Silverleaf" was my own creation: "what is the silliest fake fantasy LARPer name that I can come up with"
During the Maple Syrup/Wisky tasting, I'm imagining Paul just off camera not getting anything
19:30 "AND BAGS OF AIR" is my favorite line from Les Miserables

The 'Bags Of Air' sections would make great Shorts without context 😂

Oooh Battletech. Would love to see that on the stream eventually, but I'm biased
Love the SAAB postcard! I live by a garage that repairs funky vehicles, and was so excited when I saw a SAAB the first time there. :D

“Low hanging fruit” 😂 love the editor comments
That murder mystery party game might make a cool pre-record for Live

Poor Beej's tastebuds got double whammied this episode. 😛😛

MAIL!!
🎉🎉🎉
Hello algorithm. I enjoy this content. Well edited and performed!
Always love Mail Time. For the algorithm.
nice, alpha strike is my favourite way to play battletech. Was contemplating sending that box myself
Delightful as always!
April this year !? we're almost up to modern day. At this rate we'll be up to date by like summer next year.
I love mail time, and always want to contribute, except I can't figure out weird local stuff that isn't *also* local to them, as I live
Letters/postcards are fine and fun even without anything else!

genuinely incredibly excited for the ne unskippables to start dropping
So we could order actual bones to the moonbase? (please dont order actual bones to the Moonbase - Probably Graham)

I would almost literally kill to attend a murder mystery party, they are so my jam.
I guess that's one way of getting into one...
You're making the mystery much easier to solve.

I'd like to try that whiskied syrup and mapled whisky, I got some maple infused bourbon up in Vermont and it was good stuff.
Beej killed me with the Spinarak joke
"A Mail Time
watch, like, comment
Engagement" A Haiku for the Algorithm
My card got opened!!! Woo!
I also need to work on my penmanship, it's BecBoundwood 😂
Mail Time is good time, thanks all.
it was graham all along!
Some friends and I got a few chapters into Age of Rebellion. Have to say I was thoroughly enjoying it.
Yay engaging content 🎉
I love to drink whiskey and maple syrup! Me and my friends call it a "beaver tail".

So… reading Christmas cards on the Boxing Day stream?
Cool haul.
When are you gonna open mine? The puppy inside is probably not doing so well.
yay
It's October, I should organise a Christmas card...
I support Graham's bid to be the next voice for Alpha 5! lol
Ok that nod to Alpha from Power Rangers was very niche and very appreciated.
Mail time!
Huzzahs for mail time.
With special guest Hakkon!
Bags of Air!
I don't keep track of the AFK streams closely, but I'm curious if they've actually played any of those Arkham Horror games? I don't think I've seen a mail time in a while that didn't feature them.
It has not seen play yet. Though judging by what my friend had to say about it, it's probably better on The Long Game
Oasis of Mirth is a great band name.
algorithmic punch!
i think we could all tell it was graham xd
KCMO represent
Barely obscured by the box.
Quick note: Christmas Island, not fun. It's our (Australia) offshore detention facility for immigrants and it's VERY cruel.
There are 4 Christmas Islands
Kiritimati (pronounced Christmas) which is part of Kiribati (pronounced Kiribas) and was named Christmas Island by the British, who did nuclear testing there, and later renamed to the same thing but in the native Gilbertese language
Christmas Island, Nova Scotia which is a tiny community with a post office on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada
Christmas Island, Tasmania which is a chunk of granite near Tasmania populated entirely by seabirds, lizards, snakes, and "A species of mouse"
And Territory of Christmas Island which is the one you already know
Views for the algorithm god.
I read frosted nips at first
