I started practicing as a dentist 2 weeks ago and it feels surreal to be done with dental school, life outside has its own challenges but it’s extremely rewarding to be on this path. Congratulations on your acceptance and starting this year!! I actually remember so well January of 2020 which was when I was in your very shoes looking ahead to starting dental school in July. Time has FLOWN, my friend. I haven’t uploaded on the podcast in forever just as how I hadn’t uploaded on UA-cam in forever. I want to make videos, I always have. In the past few months, I just didn’t have the time (and at times didn’t have the drive). My motivation is back though, so just stay tuned to everything I’ll have coming out! I’ll see if I can get back to the podcast as well!

I’m starting to realize that I need to drink in as much as I can from this time because a major era of my life is about to end which carries with it a great deal of weight. But the end of an era shuttles in a new one which I’m super pumped about! Hope all is well. Thank you for the comment!!

I used to be intimidated too trust me!! It is always daunting to look ahead at the whole big picture but then you get to where I am and you realize that everything has all just fallen into place over time. Every step of the way isn’t always perfect but you end up where you need to be if you’re faithful and devoted. I wish you luck with the process and I hope you find your place in dentistry!!
I’m going to be a first year dental student next term. Do you wear scrubs everyday to class or is that just to labs? what are the expectations with what you wear?
Thanks for the comment! I haven’t converted, but in the past few years I have grown closer to the faith of my childhood which is Catholicism. I absolutely love it and it means so much to me. In terms of how it affects my daily life, it has made me question my motivations for doing certain things. I recognize now that I should do things out of love of God and love of His children rather than for my own personal gain. I want to have a family in the future and my dream is to provide for them above all else. These days I am trying to become much less selfish and give more to others. Hopefully that answers the question!

Hi, that probably depends on your dental school. In mine you only wear scrubs when you have lab days coming up so it's probably the same system.
