# 41 " What took you so long? " is a quote from NY serial killer David Berkowitz. The Son of Sam was a postal worker in New York. That was a brilliant reference.
@Flame Resistant Troll that's only because he rarely gets lines so.when he does the spotlight is firmly on him, it's set up that way. Kramer imo the funnier of the characters , Newman at times seemed better suited as a Bond Villain.
That's what comes when you are co-writer, and you hear the actors perform what is basically your stuff. Jerry has said it many times on retrospective clips. I can't blame him for it; in fact I find the scenes even funnier with him laughing. It makes the show more endearing to me.
You see dear all certified mail is registered, but registered mail is not necessarily certified…. ILL tell you a secret about zip codes…. they're meaningless LMAO HAHAH
“You really think you could manipulate that beautiful young woman like the half soused night club rabble that lap up your inane ‘observations’?” - goddamn Newman
Newman's an absolute legend. Above all he's a side character and has only appeared in 45 episodes. Still he managed to create almost the same impact George and Kramer had in the audience ❤️. It's unequivocally true that no other sitcoms has such a hilarious side character. Examples like Gunther in Friends, Carl in HIMYM or Stuart in TBBT are utter trash when compared to Newman.
Wario and Waluigi are the bad versions of Mario and Luigi. In the game Mario land 2 on Gameboy Wario is the main villain instead of Bowser. Then they came out with a game where you play as him and he has been a part of Mario games like Mario Kart ever since.
Newman: You know, old friend, sometimes I ponder this silly gulf between us and I say, "Why?" Are we really so different. For what is-- Jerry (cutting in): I'm not the one doing the cooking, Newman. Newman: Damn you Seinfeld! You useless pustule. Newman was amazing.
The courtroom scene where he was questioning Kramer, the one where he was sweating under a hot light and his biggest moment at the end of series in the final episode where he threatens Jerry are my favorites from him.
Yes I love that part. He wanted to get off without paying the speeding ticket. Too bad for him Kramer was coocoo. It was so funny when he was trying to get him to remember the lies he'd made up....I laughed my eyeballs out
It's opinionated. He's not wrong, yours isn't either. Personally I say either goerge or Kramer has the best actor. Probably Jason alexander as George, even though Richards gets WAAAYYY to much hate.
If anyone nailed part it was Wayne Knight as Newman. You can argue Jerry Stillar but he did parts like that most of his career. Michael Richards, anybody remember Friday’s
It's such a shame that Wayne Knight was so fantastic that Michael Richards felt threatened & overshadowed and they had to reduce & re-tool his character. He really was amazing in those early episodes when he & Kramer were more of a double act.
@@williamzagarella8066 It's not. Richards didn't have a problem with Knight. He just preferred to not be part of a double act. By the way, he also didn't have any problem with Danny Woodburn.
This should have included my favourite line of the entire series, when he's ratting on Jerry about necking during "Schindler's List": "Yes! And a more offensive spectacle I cannot recall!"
Great list, but my favorite's not on here: In "The Millennium," at the end, when Jerry points out that Newman's party will be one year late and thus lame, that kind of quacking sound that Newman makes is just too funny.
YOU EMIT A FOUL AND UNPLEASANT ODER ! Kramer and Newman switched places from the time Newman gave Kramer ques on what to say to Pam in the library. Remember? lol
One of my favorite Newman lines that most people probably don't notice or recognize is from the episode ' The Diplomats Club ' when he brings kramer the son-of-sam mail bag and goes : son-of-sam, the worst mass murderer the post office ever produced !! '
6:45 "It's pretty hot under these lights, huh Seinfeld?" That scene is so funny because it's Newman, and not Jerry, who's sitting under that hot lamp, so instead of the subject being interrogated (Jerry) starting to "sweat" under the lamp--and from the pressure of being interrogated, presumably--it's the interrogator (Newman) who's sweating bullets! And Jerry's the one sitting there drinking soda, and taunting Newman with it... ;)
Newman was the best " pinch hitter " in all of comedy. He could be interesting, evil, friendly, insightful, conniving, etc., but he was always funny.
Sort of Shakesperean character.
# 41 " What took you so long? " is a quote from NY serial killer David Berkowitz. The Son of Sam was a postal worker in New York. That was a brilliant reference.
Seinfeld's van? Seinfeld's van!
Oh. Thanks. I never understood that line.
Quentin 33
Yeah..The “spit” scene too. He was in JFK with Kevin Costner. That was a great reference too. Lol
@@777sicilia King Solomon on cycle dispute
Oh wow i didnt know that...thanks...thats perfect
Newman is hands down my most favorite character in the show. Best written nemesis!!!
+thespecialist0111 Newman and Kramer are bread and butter of Seinfeld show
+Rahil Sethi Agreed
same here
He was good in Third Rock also
Can't split Newman and Frank Costanza as the best supporting chracters on this show....they are both awesome
Newman easily
+Jessi L. Give a reason or two. Otherwise, the rest of us think you're an idiot.
Frank is number 1 as a screaming maniac fool.
I agree 👍 both
Newman could give me a blank stare and I'd still fall off my chair laughing. The funniest supporting character in a sitcom ever.
Per Eriksen not better than Kramer. Unless you don't consider him a supporting character... Idk.
Without. Doubt
@Flame Resistant Troll that's only because he rarely gets lines so.when he does the spotlight is firmly on him, it's set up that way. Kramer imo the funnier of the characters , Newman at times seemed better suited as a Bond Villain.
Wayne Knight is one of my favorite actors. Just an outstanding foil in this series.
'Do we own Bermuda?'
'No that belongs to the British.'
'Lucky Krauts...'
Oh Newman
Yeah Krauts are what you put in a salad.
Vegetarian Soylent-Green: Krauts are the Germans though. 😂✌🏽
@33kaus holokaust Well, we haven't been Anglo Saxons for almost 1000 years, when old William the conqueror and his Normans came to Hastings.
What a great actor. 100% commitment on every line.
Band of back woods, mail hating survivalists. I love that line.
it'd make a great band name
The rest of that scene in one of the best of Newman
LMFAO it's a hilarious line
Isn't it a reference to that movie "The Postman?"
Oh Newman. You never cease to amuse me.
Joshua Jezeski wayne knight plays the neurotic characters well. he was basically Jonah hill before Jonah hill
He's the Lex Luthor to Jerry's Superman!
ReyaitheShadowWolf do
As a former mailman I must say he knew us well.
Did you worked on the rain?🤣😂
"Define rarely"
"Frequently"
:-D
The stuff in newmans apartment always makes me laugh, a butter poster, cow print crockpot hahaha
A hamburger telephone. ...😂😂😂
The funniest guy on the whole show!!! They should have put him in way more scenes!!! I love newman!!!
*Elaine* : _Perhaps there's more to Newman than meets the eye?_
*Jerry* : _No, there's less._
"Sista go get yourself a cup of coffee" LOL
Love at #5 when Newman takes the hat and patch Jerry is trying so hard not to bust out laughing.
That's what comes when you are co-writer, and you hear the actors perform what is basically your stuff. Jerry has said it many times on retrospective clips. I can't blame him for it; in fact I find the scenes even funnier with him laughing. It makes the show more endearing to me.
Newman should've gotten a spinoff. Maybe he finally gets his transfer to Hawaii. 😂
Now that is a good idea.
I love that idea!
I've always wanted a Kramer Newman spinoff.
No... He goes to Costa Rica and gets eaten by dinosaurs.
Could call it "Newman goes postal "
"Think again, Long Shanks!" lmao
"Aren't those the guy's that always go crazy and come back with a gun and shoot everybody?"
"...Sometimes" XD
guys plural not possessive
Because the mail never stops!!
I love how he just freaks out even when talking about it.
"I did invite you...your invitation must have gotten lost in the mail"
- That line always gets me.
I love most of these, but the scene where Newman is chasing Kramer down the street with the Risk board is one of the best scenes of all time imho
Newman was so fast and nimble for his size. He could have beaten Jerry in a race.
newman is like george and kramer combined
He really is!
He's just as scheming as Kramer, but as petty as George.
So on point dude! lol wow
fuuuuustion pooooower
@@sharonanderson5619
Hah!
I love how, if left unchecked, Newman descends into a mini nuclear meltdown!
"You know this is your coat."
"...Damn..."
Typical Newman
you can see Jerry trying to hold in the laugh so hard
WHEN YOU CONTROL THE MAIL, YOU CONTROL.............INFORMATION!
His delivery of "...Sometimes..." in number 1 in response to George's question at 12:52 is genius.
**sniff** Jambalaya!
I kinda want Jambalaya right now.
Newman is sooooooooooooo crazy, and it's GREAT!!!!!
Wayne Knight is a genius... he's been on many of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Seinfeld and 3rd Rock from the Sun are two of my all time favorites.
He talks like a poet
Wayne Knight ladies and gentlemen...
Genius!
Newman is so great.

“You really think you could manipulate that beautiful young woman like the half soused night club rabble that lap up your inane ‘observations’?” - goddamn Newman
One of my favourite bits is when he rats on Jerry for making out during Schindler's List
Sloth55Chunk "A more offensive spectacle I cannot recall!"
Came to say that. I love how he reacts at the cinema hahaha
That's also the first time Jerry ever said "Newman!!". As I kept watching I hoped it was going to be a running gag, and god I was not disappointed
1:48 Newman’s personality at his best

Wario???
Waluigi??

Video games suck. What a lame analogy.
Kramer's door entrances and Newman's door exits. Perfect.
10:31 Such a snappy response. Pure evil!
Newman is the best secondary carácter ever.
Newman: You know, old friend, sometimes I ponder this silly gulf between us and I say, "Why?" Are we really so different. For what is--
Jerry (cutting in): I'm not the one doing the cooking, Newman.

You're giving up that easy?
I usually do. XD
Loved this video!! He was a great character!! Laughed so much!
What about the one where Newman says he isn't at work because it is raining?
yeah, he doesn't work in the rain :)
betpow Even though he's a mailman. They have a creed. "Neither rain, nor sleet, nor s-"
IT'S THE FIRST ONE
A second spitter, that's one magic loogie.
I do charity work with the blind. Cracks me up.
Yes I love that part. He wanted to get off without paying the speeding ticket. Too bad for him Kramer was coocoo. It was so funny when he was trying to get him to remember the lies he'd made up....I laughed my eyeballs out
As if they can see what he's doing. . ..
Great video. The only essential clip you're missing is "I feel Tuesday and Wednesday."
Great one! Also, several scenes with Newman & Babs Kramer could have made it!
Wayne Knight did a great job as Newman.
VILE WEED!!
Best actor of the entire cast.
Bullshit, not at all.
It's opinionated. He's not wrong, yours isn't either. Personally I say either goerge or Kramer has the best actor. Probably Jason alexander as George, even though Richards gets WAAAYYY to much hate.
Oh, George for sure. Hmm I guess I just find Numan's character annoying.
Valerian Rain ditto
Kramer and George basically made the show imo
… OH THE HUMANITY!
Snap back to reality
He was such a great actor
The spitting episode is comic genius, cracks me up every time I see it.
Hugely underrated actor and comedian. Great impact on the show.
Thank you. I wish they had put Newman on more! He was so entertaining in all aspects.
... and then it's PUBLISHER'S CLEARING HOUSE DAY!!!!
Oh my god I am cracking here! LOL Newman is hilarious - his language!
newman is one of the best supporting actors on a sitcom...
Love to watch Newman running with pointed toes. He needs more time on the show. He totally cracks me up.
god i love newman.
4:56 "...that lap up your inane observations" lol
Searched 'Newman' on Google. Wayne Knight's face comes up above Paul Newman's!
If anyone nailed part it was Wayne Knight as Newman. You can argue Jerry Stillar but he did parts like that most of his career. Michael Richards, anybody remember Friday’s
He is merry I'll give him that
12:32 Newman's starting to sound like Evil Emperor Zurg from the Buzz Lightyear movie and TV show. (Wayne Knight did indeed voice him)
Think again, Longshanks.
Damn, Newman is diabolical.
Newman was one of my favorite characters on this show.
no one can play his part better then him, he's great
Kramer, George and Newman, in that order were the reason why I watched this show
That chicken scene a honestly a little creepy.
Agreed!!
Kramer and butter.
That was a great compilation, thank you. ♥
It's such a shame that Wayne Knight was so fantastic that Michael Richards felt threatened & overshadowed and they had to reduce & re-tool his character. He really was amazing in those early episodes when he & Kramer were more of a double act.
I never heard of this anywhere. Any sources so I can look into it? That would be really something if that were true.
@@williamzagarella8066 It's not. Richards didn't have a problem with Knight. He just preferred to not be part of a double act. By the way, he also didn't have any problem with Danny Woodburn.
That sound at 10:23 produced by Newman, presumably, made me fall out of my chair laughing! I'm in tears!
The underated Great Comedian! His rant is timeless......
This should have included my favourite line of the entire series, when he's ratting on Jerry about necking during "Schindler's List": "Yes! And a more offensive spectacle I cannot recall!"
Holy crap ..... #25, that's the guy that plays Jigsaw in the Saw movies !!!
malalo75 And Newman's the guy who made him go crazy!
I cant believe it, well i guess everyone has to start some where
Bryan Cranston and Cary Elwes were on the show too.
I think that’s my favorite quote of Newman. “But remember, when you control the mail you control…information. 😂
Hello Newman
'' I love broccoli, it's good for you"............ " vile weed" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the best one.
When you control the mail, you control information.
Wayne Knight is such an amazing actor. Funny as fuck and the perfect nemesis for Jerry.
