I'd be interested to know what type of camera you're using, and how you mount it. Very nice picture and audio quality! I'm guessing you might need to show an overhead view of the RB (Google Maps) in addition to the view from the car, to really get the point across. ( I've tried a screen capture programme called Jing, and am now using Screencapture-o-matic)
Hi, sound is recorded, just need to use headphone and watch on a laptop or desktop as microphones on mobiles/tablets do not seem to be strong enough, despite me using a mic.
Laurence , how you finding it teaching post lockdown 3, not just busy, but pupils/customers. Is it the same job it left off pre 03/2020 and Covid. I'm still slowly getting towards going on a pink at PT3 and my driving isn't the best. 25 years of busking it is hard to break in practice ( think it is concentration, your COAST from your 2020 spiral roundabout video ); cheers Dan
Hi Dan, Personally I am not finding much difference between now and pre covid, well accept face-masks and a bit of extra cleaning! Due to the way I market myself mainly, UA-cam & Google reviews, I tend to get pupils who have had issues with other instructors and need an instructor who can explain things better to help it to click, I would say 50% of my learners have some sort of factor that effects their learning (such as strong anxiety or coordination issues). With these pupils they tend to be quite enthusiastic and know that might take longer to learn that 'average'. The other 50% tend to be referrals from previous students, as such they are also quite enthusiastic and very rarely have late cancelations or another other sort of 'pupil issues'. When I was new I certain had more issues with the learners, such as late cancelations, no shows, wanting to do a test after 10 hours etc etc, but not really any more. Regarding your driving I guess it is "Bad habits die hard", 25 years of driving a certain way will be hard to break down, but as you clearly WANT to break it down then you will, as will power to fix something is incredibly powerful, it is NOT a case of if your driving will improve, it is a case of WHEN it will improve, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it WILL improve and become more natural. When it does because more natural teaching learners becomes so much easier as spotting the 'faults' becomes second nature. When I trained to be an instructor I had only been driving for 3-4 years, so I like to think my driving was still fairly decent and had not formed too many bad habits, especially as I took a bit of time to learn to drive and took 4 tests, so after passing I did not change things much for fear of crashing, even though there was a few moments were I almost did crash due to being over confident.
My insurance company says if you are in left lane of three lane roundabout, that has arrows showing you should turn left, you can ignore this and drive straight on,regardless of putting traffic in danger.
Would be interesting to see that in writing from the insurance company, along with the specific roundabout they are talking about. Something seems off, possibly something has been miscommunicated.
@@UKDrivingTest Ho Thanks for taking time to reply. I was hit by a Romanian truck driver, who was in left filter lane,he decided to go straight ahead and hit me as I filtered left from the middle lane, insurance said it was my fault.
