Love hearing Mirasty. Thanks!
Two of the toughest AHL players laying out Russians. Amazing.
Yabo and Nasty are two legends !
That team was such a gooned up squad that the KHL changed the rules about how many Canadians/Americans any team could have on their roster who hadn't played around 100 games in the NHL, and no more than one "tough guy".
Brennan, Yablonski and Mirasty had a combined total of 3 goals, 0 assists and 611 minutes in penalties in 60 games. They also had Nick Tanarsky, a guy with NHL experience who had 173 PIMS. No other team came close. They sucked as a team, they had shit crowds - but they brutalized the rest of the KHL that year until they threw guys out of the League.
I watched Jon play in Syracuse, he’s one tough ass dude. Played hard and took ZERO shit. Way to go Jon!
He was a staple in Syracuse for a few years that really molded my youth
I remember watching Jon nasty mirasty while he used to play for the Raiders in the WHL. Great fighter.
What a legend WOW.
