Yeah and to be honest I can't blame him for being addicted it's such a great game decked out is amazing and vault hunters have been done exceptionally well.
"I think I understand all the sounds"- Iskall after calling the artifact pickup sound the starting sound, the clank block sound as the plus clank sound, and not playing the hazard block sound.
Yeah. I think it would really help him to learn the basics of the game if he can catch up during Tango's stream (Sadly, Timezones is a thing). Most of the hermits that had Tango as an observer gain some knowledge about things. But then again, there's a charm in these kind of runs about figuring it out by himself... That is...if he will. In the end, it's still a fun watch.
@@crossfang1440I think it is charming to see him learn how to play the game without much input (other than us lol). If he wanted to win I think he could but doing it this way, I think he’s having fun and I’m glad he is. :)
@@miniciominiciominicioyeah, ren and x (i think) are also basically blind playing, i really like that because it also adds some variety in the runs for us to watch, and ofcourse i want everyone to play in a way that they enjoy
Just a small tip: Pick up every berry you see. You are picking berries only when you're low on health or hunger and you don't have any spare when the need comes.
Yes this, for sure- a lot of the Hermits who are having good runs will have at least 10 berries on them when they go down to Level 2, and they easily go through all of them before they're ready to leave.
Well, at least iskall _tried_ to read the books 😂 Every time you hear a shrieker and you don't have "clank block" on the map, you get 1/20th the way to max clank. Also you get +3 clank with artifact pickup.
Finding a balance between sneaking and being fast is also key. It’s hard though, you would have to keep in mind to sneak where shriekers can be to not set them off.
You truly are going with the “authentic” decked out experience. 😂 As in you don’t look at any other hermit’s runs and don’t take advise. For me, someone who watches almost every decked out run from each hermit, the “they’re random?” Moment was hilarious.
Iskall: “I love random. Things that are random are great. Random means fun” Also Iskall: “Oh no. What? It’s random?! No, no, why am I getting this tier 1 artifact”
Stumble adds +2 clank but activating the shriekers add clank. You run around activating every shriecker available, it doesn´t matter how much time you spent on the dungeon, you max out on clank almost imediately with almost no clank block on your deck and not sneaking at all.
@@ElementX. Yes, however the hermits were instructed to not watch any content concerning the construction of decked out Sure he can eventually learn the relative locations, but you're asking a little much
Iskall, the clank goes up when you activate shriekers, not just when stumble cards are played. You're the only creature in the dungeon capable of activating them though so don't worry about the bats
Stumble is intended to stop people camping a safe spot and triggers clank. It also means running out of cards is bad as everything after that is stumbling. Iskall needs to carefully read the books as it says the tiptoe tunes are shriekers or clank being blocked.
Iskall, when you hear a shrieker that means clank is added! On some of your runs you trigger a ton of shriekers and therefore get tons of clank (which is why your clank rises so fast)! Also, the tip-toe sound you hear (the ding-dong) is actually clank being blocked, you want that sound! Oh, and when you get your artifact, you automatically get 3 clank!
it honestly makes the wait so worthwhile. i know decked out 2 was gonna possibly the best minigame ever made. hell it would be an impressive game for a server to host with all the datapacks and command blocks they could use let alone being able to do all that was done in vanilla minecraft. it's shocking how creative it is and how smoothly it runs for the most part.
"I'm not addicted, you're addicted" Iskall, having watched literally every single minute of available decked out content, I'm well aware of my addiction
Iskall plays very fast and risky. It's done some cool things so far- he's discovered jumps other hermits hasn't, but overall I think he could be sneaking around a bit more, checking his corners, etc. Rushing in is getting him killed.
but it's actually not getting him killed. yeah he's playing it really risky, also because that's what he's used to, but it's surprisingly working out really well for him, not many hermits would be able to get away with that kind of playstyle, and it seems his riskiness built him quite a deck this episode.
I have seen how other hermits play. Iskall plays much much better than everyone else but lacks the full understanding of the rules. Also, don't forget that he's playing a game that's somewhat similar to his Vault Hunters, which has tremendously enhanced his ability to maneuver quickly.
This was a lot of fun to watch, Im not addicted, you are. Also, smart cuts during the runs (editing wise). Cant wait for more runs during Docs next breakfast!
Clank goes UP when a streaker goes off OR stumble card is played. The tiptoe sound is you blocking clank that would be generated. Also heartbeat indicates your level of clank. Vex come out at max clank
As much as I don't want this season to end, I just can't wait for the world download. I played the first decked out with some homies and I'm so excited for this one
I’ve never downloaded the worlds before (been watching since season 7 beginning) but this version of decked out makes me want to download this seasons world for sure.
@@ButchPleaseImFabulous I highly reccomend getting the world download for s7 to play the original. It was so fun to get friends together and do some runs. We even each took over a base to stay in. We played for about a month.
Speed running and setting off shriekers increases your clank a lot. You actually want to sneak in certain areas to avoid them. Also, it's a good idea to stay in until all your cards have played if you're careful. You can get mega rewards.
Phase 3 Run _spoilerfree_ Timestamps™️: Run 1 - 6:20 (Medium - Lv2) Run 2 - 11:17 (Medium - Lv1) Run 3 - 14:51 (Medium - Lv1) Run 4 - 19:16 (Medium - Lv2) Run 5 - 24:59 (Medium - Lv1) Run 6 - 26:52 (Medium - Lv1) Run 7 - 30:35 (Medium - Lv2) Run 8 - 36:45 (Medium - Lv1) These runs were so much fun to watch! Ty for uploading them all, Iskall! Have a good day 😉
hey iskall. every time you hear a shrieker, your clank rises, causing the dungeon to get to maximum clank sooner. that is why some runs end sooner than others.
Iskall, the tiptoe sound is clank being BLOCKED. Everytime you activate a shrieker, you add 1 clank. Every time a stumble card is played it adds 2 clank. Every sneak card queues up 2 clank BLOCK (what is shown on the map). So when you trigger a shrieker, if you have clank block queued up, you hear the shrieker first, then the tiptoe sound, then a clank block disappears from the map, and your clank level remains the same. The max clank is about 20. So if you run into the dungeon without waiting for clank block to queue up, and you activate 7 shriekers in the first corridor alone, you’re already at nearly half your clank before even leaving the first corridor. This is why some of your runs had clank maxed very early, while later runs where you had more sneak cards which played early did not have max clank, even though you were in the dungeon longer.
22:45: Okay, so there is a bit of confusion when it comes to artifacts and Clank. Artifacts are indeed random for each spot, however, they are roughly split into 5 tiers, with each tier mapping to a difficulty. That's why you found Cleo's artifact on level 1 and 2, they are both part of the tier 2 items which maps to medium difficulty which can either be at the back of Level 1 or the front of Level 2. I think the ones on Level 2 will tend to be higher ember counts, but still not guaranteed. As for Clank, it can be generated by both the stumble card AND triggering shriekers in the dungeon. Shriekers are triggered by being loud, such as running and/or jumping, which you were doing a lot of. That's why the Evokers started coming out, you maxed out clank by making too much noise and not having enough sneak cards played to block the clank. The stumble cards are added every 2 minutes to incentivize you to not stay in the dungeon too long.
Iskall 😭😭😭 you continued through lvl 2 with half a heart and no running, even cub wouldve been sweating bullets. You need to feel the confidence, bc you definitely have it. Thats the key to decked out. Just do it!
If I'm addicted to WATCHING decked out, imagine if we were allowed to play it too =P Always happy ot see you guys have such a fun time playing Decked Out.
My roomies and I have talked about how we’ll play on the world download. I think it would be fun to build our own decks… but if it turns out the game at that stage still requires constant maintenance, we may just each choose a hermit’s deck and run with that!
@@emmulah the game definitely will require constant maintenance. it would be an amazing fan project to make a server where fans could play decked out maybe a less vanilla more automated way. but still keep the essence of the game and the way most the stuff works the same.
@@crunchevo8974that’s such a good idea, when the world download comes out, if it’s sometime when I’ve got a bit of time, I’d definitely consider doing this (I’m a plugin dev and server admin) I’d use the world download to replicate the map and see where all the spots are etc. But would remove all the redstone and do it with code instead so it’s more stable and easier to tweak and bugfix. But I’d probably go for recreating the exact behaviour of the redstone (Although would definitely make some improvements in some things where the redstone imposes limitations, eg long delay between setting off a shrieker and hearing the clank block sound)
Oh wow I would have LOVED to see that full run at 33:00! How did you make so many laps in level 2 without dying??? I think that puts you as the best level 2 evader so far!
Iskall, you misunderstood how Clank works. Every time a hidden Shrieker goes "SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!!" you build up one potential Clank. It might take a while if there's a lot piled up, but eventually the game will process all of them. Then the redstone checks out if you have any Clank Block built up. If you do have some Clank Block in stock, it goes down by one, and that's when the xylophone plays the "plink, Plink! plink..." noise. The xylophone is Clank Blocked, not Clank going up. If you have no Clank Block in stock, then your actual Clank tally goes up by one and the heartbeat start going faster, until the max when the Vexes start to come out. So when you just hop around the big basement room, and you hear the Shrieker go: "SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!! SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!! SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!!" You either burned 3 Clank Blocks, or built up 3 clanks if you had no Blocks left. Or a combinaison of both. If you want to keep clank low, stop making noise like a goofball right on top of a Shrieker!
No matter if its VH ort DO I'm so here for the dungeons runs! Just a little info regarding clank every time you hit a shirker it adds clank, the stubble cards adds clank, and when you pick up your artifact it adds 3 clank every time, but if you have a sneak qued up it adds clank block. However many blocks are lit up on the map for clank block are what's qued up to help when you when you hit a shirker or get a stubble card or pick up your artifact. Which is what allows you to stay in the dungeon longer.
Clank increases when: - An artifact is found - A stumble is played - You activate a shrieker You run past all of the shriekers everywhere, which drastically increases your clank. Watch a video from someone like Cub, and see how he sneaks everywhere.
The sound for clank is “clank block”, meaning that the sound only plays when you block a clank using a card. You know if you got clank when hear sculk sensors get activated, and the amount of clank you have in total can heard with the heartbeat sounds. Jump boost is also not bad, as it can allow you to get to some unreachable areas, which you see all over the game, some actually useful to get to harder levels or to get around in the harder levels
there is a small trickle of treasure(coins, keys, crowns), but you get a lot more from cards, but with embers you only get them from cards you gain clank (heartbeat) is from the shriekers, 2 from stumble cards and 3 when you pick up the artifact. Each shriekers have a change of being disabled so the longer runs with less clank you just got lucky with shriekers. You can sneak over them to reduce it, so if you know a area has a lot of shriekers you should sneak over it, but it slows you down so don't sneak everywhere.
The running jumping and back and forth through the rooms is what's causing the clank to max out so quickly if you just took it a smidge slower and stay a little quieter you'd be able to stay in the dungeon a lot longer
I die inside more and more each time he runs past a berry bush and doesn't collect berries, other hermits do that too sometimes but iskall has been on another level.
After watching Cub’s first run live on Tango’s stream, where Cub ran out of stamina and took the coward's path out all because he didn’t pick up a single berry, I am immune to Hermits not getting berries in the dungeon.
I know a *lot* of people have already given you redundant DO2 advice, but I'm going to try to condense it all as well as rephrase it to be clearer & I hope it helps. :) . First off, there are TWO ways that clank can get built up. The first is through stumble, which activates every 2 minutes and makes two clank. The second way is by activating a shreiker. If you want to keep doing your speedy runs, I highly advise keeping an eye out for any green cards that block higher amounts of clank than your Sneak cards do. This will help prevent your heartbeat from building at the insane levels it has been for you. . Secondly, artifacts and their locations are based off your difficulty level. They aren't in fixed locations. Thats why you got the Chisel of the Undead Sculptress on both floors 1 and 2. It is a medium difficulty artifact that can be found deep into floor 1 or near the beginning of floor 2. . Third, unless there is a ravager or vex on your tail, its always beneficial to grab berries every time you see an open bush. Having an inventory full of berries can make the difference between whether or not youre able to recover a run.
iskall!! read well! the tip-tap sound in the instruction room is not a +1 clank but a blocked 1 clank! every time you hear a shrieker activate it's +1 clank. this is why in some of your runs you immediately reached the maximum number of clanks even if you were just in the dungeon, you should be careful not to light too many shriekers to have a longer run. you feel it from the speed of your heart
Make sure you remember the card limit! You can't have more than 5 common cards, so you want to branch out into harder tier 2 runs so you can get more chances for higher cards.
5 of each kind of Common Card might be the limit, but you don't actually want that many. Since there's also a 40 cards total limit, ending up with 25 Common cards would be a total waste eventually. And having nothing to spend your leftover Frost Embers on would be a huge waste as well. He doesn't just wants higher cards, he actually needs them. Otherwise he's shooting his future self into the foot. But he doesn't seem to have realized this yet. To be fair though, it ain't that obvious.
The speed of the heartbeat is what goes up in relation to clank, which is why some runs you felt like it went up fast, due to you triggering shreikers before your sneak cards had been played, and in other runs it took a long time to build up because you either a. had the cards play before triggering the shreikers or b. got lucky and didnt hit too many shreikers. Depending on the scenario you have a lot more time in the dungeon then you think. Love watching your runs! edit: the tiptoe sound is you blocking clank not generating it, the shreiker sound is you generating it. also I believe hazard is random chance on ALL levels right when you enter the dungeon so all your hazards could trigger on lvl 1 or lvl 3 or spread out.
It is so funny, i watched over 3 hours of Etho play this game in the last two days, with the carefull planning and strategic moves trough the dungeon, and the i see this man just run head in and trigger every shreaker, then get eaten by a raveger.
He is reading the books at the beginning but he isn’t comprehending what he is reading? You sprint through the dungeon and you don’t give your cards time to play. Every shrieker is 1 clank and you set off 20 in 1 minute.
Is it just me or Decked out is like the greatest vanilla minigame ever? Like a completely vanilla no mods minecraft mini game? And that it kind of resembles vault hunter xD
Honestly I'm hoping to get a copy of the map so I can "fix" the issues of resetting the dungeon each run with commands. Would be amazing to run, but with how it's built it requires someone to go in and fix problems by hand, like moving the ravegers or wardens around, or refilling hoppers once their inventory is depleted. I know Tango has done it fully vanilla and it's amazing that it works, but for people wanting to run it without a game master fixing these issues it would break pretty quick.
@@Gamer12666there will likely be many world downloads of people automating it with command blocks (make ravagers not take damage, treasure always full ect) and then if anything else does break you can reset map or go in creative and fix yourself easily
@@bruhbutton4520 yup, and I'll be one of those people. Honestly the easiest way would be to reset the chuncks with a copy that's persistent every time a run is completed, since everything already works as is. Now the real challenge would be to make it work in bedrock... which I don't think is possible.
People, just because Iskall edits his video showing him skipping over reading the books, it doesn’t mean he didn’t read every word. Iskall is our lovable troll.
Comments: "Iskall you should read!" Iskall: reads half of the books, gets the completely wrong idea what the tiptoe sound does and never learns about hazard block.
Amazing runs! (Info that isn't a spoiler, the empty dropper sound in the river area is just that. it's not supposed to be filled Tango just keeps forgetting to take it out and it's still hooked up to the redstone)
On the Evokers/ Vexes coming out so early 22:47 , hazard is also influenced by clank, so if you sprint around the dungeon the whole time… you’ll end up generating a lot of it 😅
Hazard is accumulated by spending time in the dungeon, not triggered by shriekers. And yeah, as the other guy said, evokers/vexes are clank-based, not hazard. That's why it's important to be fast in the dungeon to not generate hazard, but also important to carefully move ahead and not generate clank. It's an important balance in a run.
im sure theres plenty of comments about your misreading but ill try to help anyways: Clank increase is indicated by shriekers going off, clank block is the sound you thought represented increased clank. Hazard happens every 30 seconds in the dungeon at any random location.
It is awesome watching your perspective of Decked out. All the other hermits are involved and competing and I feel like you're giving your own perspective away from the rest of the group is an awesome view for us to see. Plus it's been cool watching you figure things out at your own places separated from the other hermits. It's been great! Thanks for re-engaging with hermitcraft for this!
Also on the map you can see how many cards you have left. So bigger decks are usually better, because when out of cards it will play stumble cards over and over
I think you're the dark horse of DO2. You haven't been on the streams to get a lot of recognition but you have some seriously clutch moments this video where you don't even change the tone in your voice for your story. So much fun to watch.
Today's Fact: The 'Oakville Blobs' were a strange, gelatinous substance that rained down on the town of Oakville, Washington in 1994, causing illness and puzzlement.
Been missing you on Hermitcraft. Glad you are back. Even if just for decked out. Couple tips. The shrieker noises mean you are building clank - the heartbeat noises indicates clank has been added. The clank block cards and tip-toe sounds mean you are blocking clank. Max clank releases water traps and vex. You run too much over shriekers without block cards in play (see how much you can block on map - block goes down by one when you walk over a shrieker). Hazard blocks doors/paths & that generates with time. Artifact values you can get for easy, med, hard, etc have a lot of overlap, but the higher the difficulty, the higher the chances for a higher value. Anything over 16 is pretty good. You’re definitely killing it in there. If you learn where shriekers are & shift sneak over them, you will be unstoppable.
You got the sounds wrong, Iskall. This isn't me being angry or anything but the first button (with the pickaxe) is the sound for when you pick up your artifact. That is also when clank goes up 3 automatically. The other sound is clank block (the tip toe footsteps) and that will trigger when you block clank with your queued up clank block cards. Hope this helps! =)
I love the, "I'm not addicted, you are addicted ... OK? It's not me, IS YOU!!" LOL its quite true, Iskall, clank builds up when you past through the Shriekers, the one that is random is Hazard, so if you run all the time your clank level will go up faster, depending on the areas covered with Shriekers
Well done Iskall! These were some great runs. I can see that Vaults Hunters has given you a considerable advantage in Decked Out over everyone else, you run this very well. Which is good! I love to see a single massive video with many runs in it. Please keep doing that it's awesome to watch! I think it would be wise to submit at least a few Victory Tomes during this phase and each phase ongoingly, just a little bit, otherwise there will be a lot of pressure on you to match what everyone else has in the coming weeks, as the game comes to a close and you would not only *have* to win every run you make, to even get a Tome. But you would be forced to buy the 3 Tomes for 27 Frost Embers, or even the 5 Tomes for 40 Frost Embers. So that would end up forcing you to do deeper runs in the back half of Level 2, and levels 3 and 4 (When Level 4 comes online) just to stay on pace with everyone else. So submitting Tomes now is a good way to stay in the game for the overall score at the end. And you won't feel panicked about it later on. Also the cards that will get you more Frost Embers. Like Ember Seeker, and Frost Focus, Reckless Charge. these will be good to have when you go do Medium and Hard Difficulty. They will not only allow you to get yourself some of the better cards you want to afford like the green and blue cards, but it will give you the chance to buy a set of Victory Tomes as well. As well as getting keys with treasure, I think Frost Embers would be a good way to go. just make sure you have enough clank block to stay in the dungeon longer and look around. But I would say you did a very good job, keep it up love to see you run in Decked Out! :D
Love the decked out runs!! Keep ‘em coming! Get all the berries. The shriekers are clank and speed up your heartbeat. The tinkling sounds are clank blocked which is good. Clank block will cue up on the map and let’s you know when it’s safe to plow ahead a bit. Max clank=evolkers and vex. Sneaking will prevent the shriekers and clank. Hazard just builds over time. More hazard=more pathways blocked. Hazard block will prevent this some (stability).
1- The difficulty determines the pool the artifacts can be from, not where you pick them up 2- All those shriekers you set off by running everywhere is what causes clank to build up, so even though you are only there for 4 minutes you have set off every single shrieker in the dungeon and cause the vex and water to appear 3- the tip toe sounds is clank being blocked 4- the map shows how much clank and hazard block you have stored up to use, the heartbeat can tell you if you are at max clank (along with the vexes and water coming out) 5- the treasure does drop without a treasure seeker being played, it is just really slow which is why the card is really helpful but technically not necessary
I love how Iskall run he trigger the Vex so fast because he never sneak at all and trigger infinite clank. You might take Hypno place as my favorite Deckout 2 runner in level recklessness and I mean that is a compliment, you just have a difference play style and it's so fun to watch.
Suggestion on what to do while you wait for a key: stock up on berries. A lot of the treasure drops are also near berry bushes, so you might as well get them when you are searching for a key. Also, I think others have mentioned, each shrieker you activate adds one clank unless it is 'blocked'. That is why the vex came out so fast, because you had triggered a lot of them when you were waiting for a key. The stumble cards add 2 clank, this is to keep you from camping a treasure spot and staying in forever.
Hey Iskall! Hazard is purely time based, having a chance to close doors and activate traps every 30s. Clank is based on the shriekers you walk over! Both of these can be blocked by cards that have the "blocks" keyword like sneak and stability. Treasure (coins, crowns and keys) is dropped passively into the dungeon, but you can speed it up by having treasure like treasure hunter and loot n' scoot. Embers ONLY play when you have a card that gives embers like ember seeker. If you do play a card, it randomly gives every drop location on the floor of the dungeon you're in a chance to drop some embers! Hope yoi keep enjoying the runs! Keep it up!
The toot sound is a frost ember being dispensed. It is really important to pick up as many frost embers as possible. Also, as everyone else (and the book you tried reading) pointed out, setting off shriekers causes clank.
Some useful tips iskall. Coins and frost embers drop on which ever floor you’re on. The rusty toolbox gets used on an iron golem in an underground laboratory in level 2 to get bonus crowns. And always pick up berries. Too many is better than not enough. Also at the end try to hit the button and run out the door at the end. It has a surprise alternative ending.
SPRINTSKALL85! Please sneakskall85. The shrieker you hear every second are set off from not sneaking. It makes things so much harder on the way out you're increasing your clank too fast man.
"I'm not addicted, you're addicted." 😂 It's nice to know that not only are you a player of Decked Out 2 you are also a fan, just like us. Wonderful to watch your runs. May the ravagers never eat your face and key luck shine down upon you! glhf
hey iskall! loving the decked out content, keep it coming! One thing from the tutorial that is essential and doesn't spoil the learning experience is that the shriekers are actually building your clank. By running everywhere you max it out quite quickly and that's why you see vexes so early! The books had more info you skipped, especially about the tiptoe sound which is actually clank block noise. Your deck is really getting there though, keep it up :))
Iskall, I feel like you're not fully understanding clank vs hazard. Clank builds as you make noise in the dungeon. Clank controls the vexes, the moment you hit 20 clank, they come out. Triggering Shriekers are +1 clank, picking up an artifact is +3 clank. If you run and jump around a lot like you do, you can get to 20 pretty quickly. The noise you heard in the try-the-sounds room is the "clank blocked" sound, not the "clank generated" sound. Cards do work properly. When you queue up clank block and you make a noise, it doesn't add clank and you hear that sound. Hazard builds as you spend time in the dungeon. Hazard controls the paths that get closed. So the more time spent, the more blocked paths you're gonna encounter
Iskall, clank or crank is increased in multiple ways: Stumble cards +2 Stepping on shriekers +1 Finding your artifact +3 If you run around all the time and never sneak, your crank will go up faster
A little tip iskall, the "clank" sound that you talk about at 37:55 actually means that the clank triggered got blocked by the clank block, on the map. The shrieker sound is when clank is added, +1, and also when a stumble card is played, +2, and when you trade in your artifact, +3 clank. Hope this helps!
The 3 notes you described as "crank increasing" is actually the sound of crank being blocked. The shriekers are your crank increased indicator along with the heartbeat increase. The hazard block is very similar to the hazard sound. Listen to both.
I'm going started commenting this on all the hermits Decked Out videos... Don't forget to B.U.I.L.D. B - Bed! (Set your respawn point) U - Undress! (Take off all your armor) I - Inventory! (Empty it out) L - Level! Check and set your runs difficulty level) D - Deck! (Review and screenshot your deck before giving it to the dungeon)
I really like how the dungeon looks in your video, whatever setting it is I hope you keep it. It's not really that it's bright, but it looks enhanced and very beautiful. I'm sure some might not like it and prefer it darker, but I thought that it looks like the perfect mix of cave-dark with some shadows but a bit easier to see and REALLY detailed and beautiful looking, like the icy parts looks SO blue and white and it looks like it's colder and the dark block areas like deepslate and blackstone look really detailed and ancient. Also all the soul lanterns look so good, so much more blue and fitting with the aesthetic. Makes for an even better viewing experience.
clank is what make vexes come out, it can go up when you activate shrikers or when sumble card is played, so when you ran so much you are constantly activating it. You know the clanck level by listening to the heath beat, the faster it goes the higher it is and when it's at max vexes and some water hasards are activated

@@crossfang1440I think it is charming to see him learn how to play the game without much input (other than us lol). If he wanted to win I think he could but doing it this way, I think he’s having fun and I’m glad he is. :)
I was thinking the exact same thing. His level of excitement and gotta go fast attitude may get him in the end, but he's having a ton of fun!
This
Yes this, for sure- a lot of the Hermits who are having good runs will have at least 10 berries on them when they go down to Level 2, and they easily go through all of them before they're ready to leave.
Also a good answer to the question of what to do while waiting for treasure cards to play at the beginning.
Gotta dig the well before you're thirsty! 😅
Well, at least iskall _tried_ to read the books 😂
Every time you hear a shrieker and you don't have "clank block" on the map, you get 1/20th the way to max clank. Also you get +3 clank with artifact pickup.
And the “tip toe” sound is clank block being triggered.
He also tried to understand the sounds.
"The tip toe sound is played when blocking a clank"
Finding a balance between sneaking and being fast is also key. It’s hard though, you would have to keep in mind to sneak where shriekers can be to not set them off.
yeah he failed to read every one of those books
Emphasis on TRIED. I love iskall but he went full adhd with those books.
I feel like docm taking hours to eat breakfast is absolutely going to turn into a meme and im all for it.

Random means fun”
Also Iskall: “Oh no.
Yea he needs to be more aware of where shriekers are located , i always cringe when I see him running around and jumping near those shrikers .
Stumble blocks 2 hazard from registering and he has 5 sneak cards which block clank
5 sneak cards is 10 clank block that is a good amount fro medium

@@ElementX. Yes, however the hermits were instructed to not watch any content concerning the construction of decked out

Iskall, the clank goes up when you activate shriekers, not just when stumble cards are played. You're the only creature in the dungeon capable of activating them though so don't worry about the bats
Yes! Running through the dungeon is causing so much clank!
Gotta do some more crouching
Stumble cards don’t effect clank at all, it effects hazard
@@lynettereed8079 That is incorrect and wouldn't make any sense. He stumbles and makes noise meaning clank is increased.
Stumble is intended to stop people camping a safe spot and triggers clank. It also means running out of cards is bad as everything after that is stumbling.
Iskall needs to carefully read the books as it says the tiptoe tunes are shriekers or clank being blocked.
Also, picking up your artifact generates 3 clank
legends say that doc is still eating that breakfast to this day
Doc is still eating breakfast to this day
Iskall, when you hear a shrieker that means clank is added!
I bet Tango is flattered that everyone is devoting so many videos to decked out 2
He's so happy that all the work has paid off, and really just overjoyed that people love it.
it honestly makes the wait so worthwhile. i know decked out 2 was gonna possibly the best minigame ever made. hell it would be an impressive game for a server to host with all the datapacks and command blocks they could use let alone being able to do all that was done in vanilla minecraft. it's shocking how creative it is and how smoothly it runs for the most part.
Not only that, but the enthusiasm that everyone is showing (including viewers)
At this point I hope after this season ends, that he will make it a stand alone mod like he used to do when working on his better villagers mod!
It's the same as happened with tcg by beef
You should always harvest berries if you can. Also, read the books fully. You missed an important part of how clank works.
Mr iskall, you need a nether tunnel for the amount of time you need the pick of shame, to reduce running back time.
What's easier, remembering to sleep in a bed, or building a whole tunnel? I think we can _all_ clearly see it's the latter.

I don't mind it, I just wish he'd have a little awareness of the shriekers, so he doesn't repeatedly trigger one (or eat 7 berries over one).
I have seen how other hermits play.
Iskall plays much much better than everyone else but lacks the full understanding of the rules.
Also, don't forget that he's playing a game that's somewhat similar to his Vault Hunters, which has tremendously enhanced his ability to maneuver quickly.
@@justforme1290yeah, he plays like he has a time limit, but clank is more of a movement limit
As he didn't actually read the books, he doesn't know he's the one adding clank by running around in circles, activating all the shriekers.

Speed running and setting off shriekers increases your clank a lot. You actually want to sneak in certain areas to avoid them. Also, it's a good idea to stay in until all your cards have played if you're careful. You can get mega rewards.

These runs were so much fun to watch!
Also grabbing the Artifact adds 3 clank automatically and it bypasses the Clank block in the deck.
It is not bypassing the block queued up. @@HALberdier17
They're not in teirs - it's linearly distrubuted based on a ranking of how difficult each spot is to get to.
Iskall 😭😭😭 you continued through lvl 2 with half a heart and no running, even cub wouldve been sweating bullets. You need to feel the confidence, bc you definitely have it. Thats the key to decked out. Just do it!
If I'm addicted to WATCHING decked out, imagine if we were allowed to play it too =P
Always happy ot see you guys have such a fun time playing Decked Out.
Pretty sure that in the end of the season there is a world download
My roomies and I have talked about how we’ll play on the world download. I think it would be fun to build our own decks… but if it turns out the game at that stage still requires constant maintenance, we may just each choose a hermit’s deck and run with that!
@@emmulah the game definitely will require constant maintenance. it would be an amazing fan project to make a server where fans could play decked out maybe a less vanilla more automated way. but still keep the essence of the game and the way most the stuff works the same.
@@crunchevo8974that’s such a good idea, when the world download comes out, if it’s sometime when I’ve got a bit of time, I’d definitely consider doing this (I’m a plugin dev and server admin)
I’d use the world download to replicate the map and see where all the spots are etc. But would remove all the redstone and do it with code instead so it’s more stable and easier to tweak and bugfix. But I’d probably go for recreating the exact behaviour of the redstone
(Although would definitely make some improvements in some things where the redstone imposes limitations, eg long delay between setting off a shrieker and hearing the clank block sound)
Maybe I’ll get in touch with tango at some point and discuss the idea.
That last run when you were down to 1/2 heart downstairs was wild! This was such a great episode!
So when you just hop around the big basement room, and you hear the Shrieker go:
"SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!! SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!! SHRAaaaaAAAAAHHHH!!!!!"
You either burned 3 Clank Blocks, or built up 3 clanks if you had no Blocks left. Or a combinaison of both.
If you want to keep clank low, stop making noise like a goofball right on top of a Shrieker!
jumping and sprinting increases the speed at which you set off shriekers, but crouching reduces it
No matter if its VH ort DO I'm so here for the dungeons runs!
I love these specials. I don`t mind the waiting until we resume the regular schedule. Cannot wait to see new stuff on the base and at 20 ways to fail.
Clank increases when:
- An artifact is found
- A stumble is played
- You activate a shrieker
You run past all of the shriekers everywhere, which drastically increases your clank. Watch a video from someone like Cub, and see how he sneaks everywhere.
You’ve got to be the jumpiest of runners of them all! Pretty brutal on your berry supply.
The sound for clank is “clank block”, meaning that the sound only plays when you block a clank using a card. You know if you got clank when hear sculk sensors get activated, and the amount of clank you have in total can heard with the heartbeat sounds. Jump boost is also not bad, as it can allow you to get to some unreachable areas, which you see all over the game, some actually useful to get to harder levels or to get around in the harder levels
there is a small trickle of treasure(coins, keys, crowns), but you get a lot more from cards, but with embers you only get them from cards
you gain clank (heartbeat) is from the shriekers, 2 from stumble cards and 3 when you pick up the artifact.
.
I love these Decked Out episodes SOOOOOO much
iskall!! read well! the tip-tap sound in the instruction room is not a +1 clank but a blocked 1 clank! every time you hear a shrieker activate it's +1 clank. this is why in some of your runs you immediately reached the maximum number of clanks even if you were just in the dungeon, you should be careful not to light too many shriekers to have a longer run. you feel it from the speed of your heart
Make sure you remember the card limit! You can't have more than 5 common cards, so you want to branch out into harder tier 2 runs so you can get more chances for higher cards.
5 of each kind of common cards
5 of each kind of Common Card might be the limit, but you don't actually want that many.
Since there's also a 40 cards total limit, ending up with 25 Common cards would be a total waste eventually. And having nothing to spend your leftover Frost Embers on would be a huge waste as well.
He doesn't just wants higher cards, he actually needs them. Otherwise he's shooting his future self into the foot. But he doesn't seem to have realized this yet.
To be fair though, it ain't that obvious.
@neetscholar4149 It's 20 cards unless you saved clarities but yeah
Got to love the title, clarifying he's addicted to Decked out 😂
It is so funny, i watched over 3 hours of Etho play this game in the last two days, with the carefull planning and strategic moves trough the dungeon, and the i see this man just run head in and trigger every shreaker, then get eaten by a raveger.
i think its just funny how he says he'll read the books and then just completely missmatched all the sounds
The first run of the vid, kinda like you said, that's the fastest I've seen any hermit get to lvl 2.
I just hope when the season ends we'll be able to play decked out ourselves :o
It will be in the world download when the season ends, so we will all be able to play it.
"read iskall", he just goes through pages not reading

Iskall: reads half of the books, gets the completely wrong idea what the tiptoe sound does and never learns about hazard block.
I very much enjoy these Decked Out specials!! Please keep doing them! Love seeing the runs! :D
Amazing runs! (Info that isn't a spoiler, the empty dropper sound in the river area is just that. it's not supposed to be filled Tango just keeps forgetting to take it out and it's still hooked up to the redstone)
On the Evokers/ Vexes coming out so early 22:47 , hazard is also influenced by clank, so if you sprint around the dungeon the whole time… you’ll end up generating a lot of it 😅
Evokers/vexes are clank-based, not hazard. They start popping out once you reach max clank.
No, please. Don't give false advice, he's confused enough as he is.
Oopsies it seems I’ve misunderstood turn. Thank you for correcting me everyone ☺️
im sure theres plenty of comments about your misreading but ill try to help anyways:
Clank increase is indicated by shriekers going off, clank block is the sound you thought represented increased clank.
Hazard happens every 30 seconds in the dungeon at any random location.
Loving your decked out videos, your addiction fuels our own as viewers!

Ah a fellow fun facter :)
Iskall at full heatlh, stumbles and misses jumps. Iskall at half a heart aces every obstacle.
every time you hear a shrieker, your clank goes up (unless blocked). Tango has said that the dungeon maxes out at about 20 clank.
I just like listening to iskall narrating. Would buy iskall audio book so do whatever you find fun in whatever way its fun for you.
1- The difficulty determines the pool the artifacts can be from, not where you pick them up
2- All those shriekers you set off by running everywhere is what causes clank to build up, so even though you are only there for 4 minutes you have set off every single shrieker in the dungeon and cause the vex and water to appear
3- the tip toe sounds is clank being blocked
4- the map shows how much clank and hazard block you have stored up to use, the heartbeat can tell you if you are at max clank (along with the vexes and water coming out)
5- the treasure does drop without a treasure seeker being played, it is just really slow which is why the card is really helpful but technically not necessary
Iskall you're running and jumping ALL the time, triggering tons of clank. Sneak when you're near a Sculk Sensor!
I love how Iskall run he trigger the Vex so fast because he never sneak at all and trigger infinite clank. You might take Hypno place as my favorite Deckout 2 runner in level recklessness and I mean that is a compliment, you just have a difference play style and it's so fun to watch.
4:36 that is the *Clank Block* sound.
*Clank* is just a vanilla shrieker, (also a quicker heartbeat)
Once again the button plays the *Clank Block* sound
The *Good* sound
Poor Doc lol. Takes mercy on Iskall and lets him play while he has breakfast, and now it's under maintenance again lol
May the ravagers never eat your face and key luck shine down upon you! glhf
"I'm not addicted. You're addicted."
Oh Iskall, we're all addicted.
hey iskall! loving the decked out content, keep it coming!
LOL. "I think I've got it"
He hasn't got it. He somehow skipped reading only the new info and got the sounds backwards XD
Iskall, clank or crank is increased in multiple ways:
Stumble cards +2
Stepping on shriekers +1
Finding your artifact +3
If you run around all the time and never sneak, your crank will go up faster
B - Bed! (Set your respawn point)
U - Undress! (Take off all your armor)
I - Inventory! (Empty it out)
L - Level! Check and set your runs difficulty level)
D - Deck!
Stumble cards aren’t the only way to increase clank. Shriekers also increase it which is why you can have vexes within 4 minutes
The dungeon gets angry when you take the artifact. - Tango
That's why it got messy in your 3rd run.
